The first Dragonball was made to be timeless which means it made almost no
references to current culture.

and besides Dragonball is based off the Journey to the west, which was a long time ago. (the first part anyway)

Can't say I agree with the cast, but I'm not going to judge them just yet.
The movie is saved, it's being produced by Steven Chow.
Just watch Kung Fu Hustle. Tell me they can't make DBZ that way.
It's probably going to be an action comedy now, but Dragonball the first part.
was mostly about comedy anyway. neutral
It's to bad he's not directing as well. Then I'd have complete confidence that it will be good.

Justin Chatwin is going to have to gain 100 pounds of muscle if he wants to pass as Goku though.
