Now that the tale was over, Geddel decided it was time to move to the outskirts of the crowd. She hadn't meant to get stuck in the middle, but by showing up early, it had happened all on its own. She liked the company of others, but so many so close, well she just wasn't used to that. With a quick nod of farewell to the nearest living creature, she set off for a roomier setting. She didn't want to be completly out of the mix, but just on the edge of it. After a few moments, and a few near collisions, she noticed a branch that was suddenly free, and she claimed it without hesitation. Perfect, she thought to herself. It was just far enough away to let her breathe and think, and still close enough she would be able to duck in for snacks if she wanted.

"Evening to you as well." Coming out hadn't been a mistake, Tempest wouldn't be disliked by all. The Minder noticed Tempest bobing his head in hello to the strange male, but he said nothing in response. She'd have to work on his people skills. Maybe watching the bards would be a good thing, but the idea of having him away from her still worried Citrine greatly.
"Why thank you Starling." Citrine took her pick out of the bag with delight. This was turning into a splendid affair.
Upon Runewing's landing Tempest turned to watch the mystic, his large eyes tracing her movements as if he were studying her. Who're you? "Mama?"
The minder could feel the change in atmosphere and turned at Rune's voice and Tempest's calling. "This is Tempest, Mystic. And yes, I am his Minder."

"Hazel!" Thorn squeaked happily, nipping his older friend's pinions playfully. "Liam's around here someplace, looking for a crafter, but I've already found one! I bet Roth will be glad to see you again! Anyways, this is Hawthorn, and th... hey, where'd she go? Hazel, did you see another Deep Woods female around here anywhere?"

Mag was absent-minded for a while, the bard's trouble were a bit annoying to watch, so many tried to help, and so little actually knew what were they doing! There was already enough sentinels there, trying to go to help would be too much. So she let her mind rest a bit, just listening to the sounds, not analysing what's happening... Till she heard the last question. "...is someone lost?" She eyed the sentinels talking a bit further, wondering what happened. If it was a lost fledgeling, it might mean trouble... Hopefully it's not.

Thorn whirled around to see a female Sentinel, one he hadn't met yet. "I don't think so... There was this crafter I was talking to, but she went away... Maybe she had to go fix something. I'm Thorn; who are you?"

She opened her wings, and flew closer, so she won't have to shout while introducing herself. "My name is Magheera, sweetie, but most call me Mag. It is a pleasure to meet you." She moved her head a bit, and asked. "...are you in need for a crafter..? I happen to be one."

Thorn nodded. "Yep! Liam's been testing my Will, and he says that I'm good with metal. He's looking for a crafter to teach me more, because he's not good at that kind of thing himself. It's nice to meet you, Mag!"

"That's wonderful to hear, boy!" Mag smiled and nodded. Yes, strong will is a true blessing. It's good for the young one to have it, as long as there's a proper teachher, ofcourse. "And you want to become a crafter, yes?"

CloudChaser arrived just as the Brigadier’s last words echoed through the unusually silent forest. “I missed it.” he thought to himself, slightly depressed. If he hadn’t chased that Chirop, he would’ve made it on time. Funny… Chase chased the chirop. Chase chased the cheeky chirop. He let out a cheerful chuckle with his beak open in a silly grin. The music had started. It was no time to be feeling sorry for himself. He just wished he hadn’t hit his right wing against an oak branch as it was actually starting to hurt now. No matter. It was the time to celebrate. He would get it looked over the next day. Fluffing out his feathers and humming joyfully, Chase hopped to a nearby branch.
((new rp-only character; because he has already been approved but is not posted at the guild yet, I have his description in my journal if anyone’s interested^^))

Thorn beamed under the crafter's approval. "Oh, yes! One day I hope to be able to work with the rarer metals, and make those spirally things I see older Sentinels wearing." He fluffed himself at the thought of the fire coursing through his mind every time he used his Will to manipulate a piece of metal.

"You have big expectations there, don't you..?" Mag chuckled, but there was no disapproval in it. Reaching high is good - if you reach low, you'll never make it higher. "You might just one day have an occasion to try yourself. And make sure you'll be worthy when that happens." "Spirally things..." Another chuckle. "You mean like this?" She asked, presenting her wing with the so liked among sentinels decoration. "Making them somehow makes your mind be really at ease. I love crafting those."

Toulsed exhaled slowly as she discovered that the fledgling had not noticed her stealthy sortie, and wove her way back to watch Birch from a different direction. Crowds were so easy to hide in, and yet so stressful and difficult to be in. She couldn't help but feel that, no matter how uninteresting and small she tried to make herself look, someone was inevitably noticing (and probably commenting on) her plumage behind her back.
All she wanted was to watch the performances, really. See, this was exactly why she could never have made it as a bard: if she got this nervous when merely being spoken to - merely being looked at by sentinels that she didn't know, how could she ever have dreamt of standing on a stage?
Oh, that's right... "Tuft," she muttered, only loud enough so that the bright parus on her head would hear, "What do you think you are doing?"
Tuft left his unsteady perch and landed ligthly on a small twig next to her, that bowed under his weight. He studied her with bright little eyes and tilted his head to the side.
"Have fun, ya? Talk, sing, have fun." He nodded encouragingly at the ruffled sentinel. "Tousled too!"
"I am having fun!" she hissed. "I just want to watch the bards, okay? Stop trying to get people to talk to me!"
Tuft chirped at her in a way that did not feel obedient at all, and then made a quick, smattering sound. "We see," he said, "Tousled go par-tee, Tousled have fun. We see."
She sent him another angry glare, that he completely ignored, and turned back to watch Birch perform.

Thorn ducked his head a bit, somewhat embarrassed. "Liam always says to try to do what I want to. I don't want to be the most famous crafter ever, but I do want to work with silver and gold." He nodded at Mag's wing decor. "Yeah, those! They look so fun to make, with all the bends and twisting you do. Do you have Companions that help you at all? Cassiel finds stuff for me, but he can't carry much."

Birch studied the new arrivals as the crowd around him grew. I should hit myself in the head more often, he mused.
Come catch him when he falls Come catch him when he falls Hey! Ho! Watch him go Come catch him when he falls
Birch nearly lost track of Tousled as the other crafter arrived, but the bright Parus bobbing on her head betrayed her location and when he saw that she stayed nearby he relaxed and continued singing.
The fledgling didn’t fall The fledgling didn’t fall Hey! Ho! Watch him go The fledgling didn’t fall
There were lots of fledgelings around tonight, and some of them were roaming more freely than usual as the minders and parents relaxed
Wherever will he land? Wherever will he land? Hey! Ho! Watch him go Wherever will he land?
The youngster, Thorn, seemed to have found another crafter to fawn over. Birch tried to remember if he had seen her before, but from the conversation he learned that she made jewellery. Perhaps not one that crafted noisemakers then. He decided to ask her later since she seemed busy and he had a crowd to entertain.

"Ofcourse I have." Mag nodded. "It would be difficult to gather all the needed decorations when you're alone." Noticing her mistress talking about her, Sol flew down and landed next to her. "This is Sol." Mag said. "My favorite. The girl is really good in finding dye ingredients. I double as an artisan, you know." She chuckled, while the young parus jumped, screaming "Pleasure! Pleasure!" When she finally quieted down, Mag continued. "I also have three mus and another parus, but they're away currently."
