Kiun's eyes widened in laughter as Marie screamed. He swam over to her and said, "Don't worry, Fireflies just look pretty, thats all they do. They won't hurt you." He ducked under the warm water to remove the fireflies from him, then came back up and put one wing protectivly over Marie, brushing the offending firefly off of her. He said softly, so softly, "Nothing will ever hurt you." He had a sudden flash feeling of responsibility, protection, and love. Then it passed and was gone, but he knew he could reach for it.

Marie took a deep breathe, she felt as he brushed off the fly, but still insisted on staying under his wings, and nestled up next to him, for the first time she knew she could rely on someone to protect, and that feeling felt good. "Thank you..." She said in a silent whisper as she continued to move her feet constantly to float.

((Oh, and by the way wink Kiun's over 3 weeks now. So if a breeding raffle opens up and you decide to do it thats totally fine with me 3nodding I don't remember if we have to post it anywhere though. ))
Kiun huffed a bit into the warm night air. The water was warm too. He figured there must be an underground hot spring somewhere deep down. He churned the water with his feet, enjoying the warmth it brought up. A faint steam filled the air, making his whole body warm.
The night sky was clear, and the stars were bright. It was very peaceful. A school of fish flited around under the water, and he replied to Marie, "I see no reason for me to be thanked, unless you're talking about that pesky firefly." He grinned.

[[ You would have to post here: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/posting.php I posted in it already, you just have to agree. ]] Marie Yawned as the warm water churned under her feet, it was such a comfortable setting she felt as if she were dozing off asleep, but reminded herself she was with Kiun, the instant evergy boost from that reminder would keep her awake for hours if best. "I do have something to thank you for.... Your love, and that pesky bug." She said while nuzzling his shoulder.

((Okay, and I just did. So we're all set to go 3nodding ))
Kiun smiled and nuzzled Marie back. A gentle breeze tugged at his mane, beckoning to the skies. For the first time, he ignored its call, the call to fly free, free as the wind itself. Any other time he would have gladly taken to the skies, but he felt grounded now, for a purpose. He had sacrificed his freedom for Marie, but he felt she was much more important. He chuckled softly and said,
"Well, I'm sure that pesky bug, as you call it, is not thanking me right now." More seriously he said, "Love is not something to be thanked for. Its fleeting as a breeze, and hard as a rock, it cannot be swayed. I believe that everything has something it's drawn to. Be it a sparrow to a sparrow, a seed to a plant, or a winged soquili to a beautiful mare."

Marie grinned. "I suppose he wont be thanking you... But i will!" She nuzzled him playfully. "That's so....poetic." She said gazing at him in awe, he might've acted vain only moments before, but he spoke with the words of a elder. She blinked as she kept gazing at him intently.

Kiun blushed and turned his head away a little. He said, "Hehe, sorry about that. Sometimes I act...a little older than I really should." He grinned, a little shyly. It wasn't often that it happened. Usually he was content to be the young naive one, but he realized that Marie was as young and naive as he was. Every so often one of them would have to step up and act the elder.

Marie smiled. "I understna,d I guess you could say i have my.... moment aswell." She said looking around, noticing the fire-flies were already retreating back into hiding. "Is the sun going to come up already... It hasnt even been that long yet!" She said peering at the sky, which was now booming with life, and now only held only a few fire-flies whom werent afraid to stay out late.

Kiun grinned a little, then his face fell as he saw the first morning rays of the sun pierce through the dark sky. He nosed Marie and said, "I agree, it wasn't that long." Streaching his wings he made for the shore of the pond, got out, and shook himself like a dog. His mane poofed up like an affro, and his tail was just a bunch of frizz. He blushed a little and shrugged his shoulders, saying, "One of the many drawbacks of being handsome"

Marie follow kiun, shaking wildly. Her wet hair soon curl and was as beautiful as ever. "I never have problems with my mane." She said with pride as she shook her hoofs of the remaining cold droplets of water. She walked over to under a large marsh willow tree and sat under it, she could heard the last crooks of bull-frogs in the night and how bird began to sing. She looked to Kiun with a gracious smile. But she was tired from sstaying up all night without rest.

(( Congrads on the new baby Jokoa ^_^ Very cute! I've got a new babie luff myself ^_^ -points to sigi- ))
Kiun looked at Marie closely. Though she feigned alertness, he could tell she was very tired. He felt drowsy himself. He stiffled a yawn, then said, "You tired?" And grinned a little. Staying up all night and sleeping all day. It sounded nice, but made for a very tired Kiun.

Kiun yawned deeply, he was so tired. Folding his legs under him he sank to the soft sand. It was warm, the suns rays had been just enough to bring some life into the earth. He lay his head down and folded his wings, except for laying one over Marie's back. Just as he was falling asleep, a thought struck him. I hope I don't snore...
