FAILURE!!
Shade barely even had time to lift his arms as the spider came down on top of him, knocking him to the floor with enough force to knock the wind out of his lungs. He hated how disgusting the little thing, dirty and drooling on him. He attempted feebly to knock it off, but he wasn't really much of a fighter to begin with so his attempts were quite futile.

Result: 12 Successful Dodge, Grabbed the Flag, and Escaped!
"Yoink!" Grabbing the flag, Kage immediately jumps back and avoids the enormous spider a** that could have easily crushed him. Now grasping the flag tightly in hand he trampolines off of the webbing, using the violent rippling of the webbing to boost himself over the eight-legged obstacle planting a booted foot on the spiders face before finally leaping off and back into the tree tops that will lead him back to the graveyard.

~Shade~
The large spider is on top of you quickly and has you pinned underneath its many legs. Due to your shinobi training you manage to /barely/ avoid its attempt to immediately bite you, but you can see the venom dripping off of its fangs. This spider seems to think you are lunch!

As you escape through the long webbed tunnel you are surprised to see that there are no spiders anywhere near it. Glancing around you see that you are back in the treetops and after gathering your barings you start off in the direction you think leads back to the Graveyard. As you go you happen to glance over and see that Kyo is struggling against one of the funnel web spiders. Looks like you can either try to help your teammate or focus on winning the race.
Objective: Race to the Center of Venomweb! (Part 5)
Power + 8-sided Dice = Number of Successes to Rescue Shade

Or
Ignore him and continue back towards the Graveyard (No Roll)

"...? Shade!" A swift front flip into the nearest tree branch and his advance was halted. The branch was on the brink of shattering and without so much as a blink he leaned back placing his right hand on the hilt of his sword and dropped in Shades general location. Twisting in the air the blade slipped free, slicing at its intended target. He missed by only a single foot, and upon landing in front of his teammate a single word was uttered, "s**t....."

As you land next to Shade you feel the tree branch shake, which in turn causes the nearby webbing to shake as well. The spider ontop of Shade ignores you...for now as it seems to already have a meal, however from behind you feel something splatter against your back. Then you feel whatever hit on your back forcibly pulled and your body flies away from Shade! The force of the tug sends your sword flying out of your hand and its blade lands in the tree branch just out of arms reach of Shade. Glancing over your shoulder you see that there is a thick web attached to your back and another large spider is using its front legs to pull you in for a meal!
Objective: Escape! (Part 5)
Speed or Power + 8-sided Dice = Total Number of Successes
11 or more Successes Needed (Speed), 12 or more Successes Needed (Power)

FAIL
Shade could feel the weight of this creature pressing down harder on him, almost crushing his chest inwards. He saw Kage for what seemed like only a second, though his entrance was memorable enough. When Kage was whipped away and his sword fell near Shade, he began to try desperately to reach for it. Oh s**t, my luck sucks so bad.

FAILURE
The surprise attacker was the quicker of the two, and had the advantage as Kages strength and speed had failed him. The silky binding on his back only proved more bothersome as he eyed his sacred blade that lay a few feet from his friend. His fate was unknown, but he sure as hell wasn't going to give up now. Instinctively his muscles tensed and his ebony gaze grew even more vengeful than it has in the past.
"Show me what you've got you arachnid freak, you'll soon learn that you've bitten off more than you can chew...."

Then it hits you, the spiders poison has entered your body and is slowly spreading. Your vision blurs but you can see the spiders legs start to curl around you in an attempt to wrap you up.

((Sorry for the lack of response, 12 hours a day and 6 days a week is a shift that can tire a guy out.))
Tai 4 + 1/2 ATK 4 + Roll 7 = 15

"D-damn......damn poison...." The numbness flowing through his body was staggering. He assumed his knees hit the ground as his hands were propped upon the grass in protest. With his body quickly numbing from the toxin coursing his veins, he only had one shot at incapacitating his predator. What he didn't know was whether his right hand was shaking in fear of an inevitable death, or whether he was shaking with unfathomable rage gathered in his fist.
The shadows beneath his attacker cracked and twitched in anticipation, and with a vicious uppercut he unleashed his signature technique, with a slight alteration in the direction of the attack.
"Kage-ken!!!" An explosion of eager ebony barbs and spikes tore upward aiming to succumb its intended victim....

Shade slid his other arm up to his wound and seemed to freeze for a moment. When that moment ended he pulled his fingers away quickly, drops of blood seamlessly movement in perfect sync with his fingers and weaving together into the shape of a scalpel. Flicking his fingers he flung the scalpel at the spider's jaw, hoping to pierce it's skull and disconnect the brain.

As you both let out your desperation attacks you feel your arms go numb...then an intense pain in your chest. Though the poison is still making its rounds in your bodies your lessons from the Academy have taught you that it shouldn't move THAT fast through you.
As you lay writhing on the ground, your hands instinctively start to clutch your hearts. The last thing either of you see as your vision starts to blur is the image of the other person reaching out despserately to you.....
After a moment the pain is gone and there's darkness......
Then from the darkness you find yourself...in the same place but you're standing up and the pain is gone. But to both of your horrors you see that you are floating and that your body(still contorted in pain) is still on the ground a half-a-foot beneath you!

His black iris' went wide in horror as he looked upon his pain-racked body. Looking at the expression of pain on his face was definitely bothering him, and the many thoughts overwhelming his brain was making him sick to his stomach.
H-how is this possible?! There is no way I could be dead....a spiders poison isn't that swift. So how am I looking down upon my own body? A Genjutsu perhaps? But who in their right mind would....?
His thoughts dropped as his eyes peered upon his friends similar predicament. And as much as he wanted to, he wasn't able to vomit. The feelings of uselessness was shattering his morale, and having his new friends death on his possibly dying conscious helped nothing.
I can't allow myself to die now, I must become even stronger so I can protect my teammates and even the princess....I owe them that much...mother, father....give me the strength to awaken from this nightmare...

Shade simply blinked and stared for a few moments, apparently in awe. "Neuro-toxins? Or maybe...Maybe I'm really dead?"
He patted himself down, wiping the dust and dirt of his ghostly body, if that's really what he was, before walking over to his body and walking around in it in circles.
"Is it possible these spiders have been genetically altered to induce a genjutsu upon contact?...I really wanna kick it..." Without another moments hesitation he swung his foot at the spider, hoping he could somehow hit it.

"You'd almost think they were foreigners...." A sultry voice could be heard, glancing around you saw Kira walking across the branch with another woman behind her, Yura the Spider Queen. "Such a pity, they were doing so well in their race, don't you agree little Yagami?"
Kira had a rather put-off look on her face as she heard "little Yagami" before addressing her comrades, "Onigashima, the Isle of the Demons, the only place on this planet where the spirits of the dearly departed can be seen clearly at night. Thanks Izanami-hime and her Kage Makyou it's eternally night here."
Yura sits atop of one of the funnel-web spider's torso and gently pats it on the head, while Kira shows you a scroll. "Shade Ender, death by stroke. Kage Mikazuki, death by stroke." She lightly taps both of your bodies before looking up at both of you, her Bloodline Limit active in her eyes. "You both have less than 5 minutes for me to perform the necessary procedures to get your hearts started, so you should try to think VERY hard and quickly to answer these questions right. First: Can you tell me why I caused you both to die of a heart-attack? And I don't mean because I wrote your names in my Journal. I want to know the reason behind why I chose to do it right at that moment, why not sooner or later but at that very moment."
She looked between the two of you and said "Tic...Toc"
Objective: Life or Death, Heaven or Hell!
Answer Kira's questions correctly before your window of revival expires!

Wishing for strength from his dearly departed parents obviously wouldn't revive him, and upon seeing the sudden appearance of both Kira and Yura brewed a bothersome feeling within him.
This must be what it feels like when you're playing asian roulette with an explosive kunai...
He stared curiously at the scroll bearing his name and reason for death. Thoughts gathered, as did many assumptions but the fact remained that he only had a few minutes to answer correctly or remain dead forever...
"I assume I'm correct when I say that if we pass this test our team will be assigned to Jounin Rank missions from now on. So, my guess is that if our records claim that we are dead then if we're to be captured by the enemy it will be as though we never existed at all..." "Unless a fake claim of death isn't for our enemies..." he said, giving his team captain a curious glance.
