Do we really want to be taken seriously? I mean, come on, life's too short to be taken seriously, after all, we'll never get out alive!

Ivy: You sure you don't mind? I honestly think that it's a subject worth talking about a bit longer. At least, stay halfway on-topic for. sweatdrop

Kita: But if we're not taken seriously, who is going to give us money? Generally speaking, that is.

I suppose so... sweatdrop So, what attributes do you think a woman would have over a man and vise versa?
PostPosted: Wed Jan 16, 2008 2:10 pm

Well, according to my psychology book, there are certain sub-personalities that are related to women and some to men. 3nodding

I also read that there was this one woman who, until she found out she was really a man, lived as a woman. You really do live a different life, depending on your gender.

Yet, at the same time there are individuals who are born androgynously (yes this does happen on occasion) and are often made into females, because it is "easier" and some, later in life, feel that they are more male than female as they grow up, so they convert back to their male counterpart. Very interesting stuff.

"Androgynously?" neutral

Indeed, very interesting. 3nodding

Neither male nor female or the flip side, both male and female at the same time. 3nodding

Whoa. I didn't know that. 3nodding Maybe I'll wiki it sometime.

But getting back to your earlier question. Like I said before, you can claim that some attributes that women have are better, like one can argue for the opposite. It's a matter of opinion. The laid-back personality and the orderly and straight-forward personality are practically opposites. But it depends on your opinion and the subject at hand to decide which attributes have the advantage.

It is rare, Scoot, but there are people born into this world that are Hermaphrodites. Which was the word I was looking for really, when I was saying Androgynous. Shame on me. Though, that still works, as people can be both of these at the same time. Here let me get some true definitions for you:

Hermaphrodite:
1. an individual in which reproductive organs of both sexes are present
2. an abnormal individual especially among the higher vertebrates having both male and female reproductive organs called also androgyne
History of the word: 1398 (harmofroditus), from L. hermaphroditus, from Gk. Hermaphroditos (L. Hermaphroditus), son of Hermes and Aphrodite, who, in Ovid, was loved by the nymph Salmacis so ardently that she prayed for complete union with him and as a result they were united bodily, combining male and female characteristics.

Androgyne
1. a being of ambiguous sexual identity; one that combines major aspects of both the male and the female.
2. one having both male and female sexual characteristics and organs; at birth an unambiguous assignment of male or female cannot be made [syn: hermaphrodite]

Androgynous
1. being both male and female; hermaphroditic.
2. having both masculine and feminine characteristics.
3. having an ambiguous sexual identity.
4. neither clearly masculine nor clearly feminine in appearance: the androgynous look of many rock stars.
5. Being neither distinguishably masculine nor feminine, as in dress, appearance, or behavior.

Does that help with clarification? blaugh

Enlightening. ^^ I think I've heard the term "hermaphrodite," but only in the context of a Weird Al song. o.o;

Thanks for the info.
