So, I have a quick question: how many of you watch the new episodes on youtube? I mean the ones shown on YTV.
I'm curious because I watch them when they air on Saturday, but I don't want to talk about them because I know how much spoilers suck: even simple ones.

I usually don't . . . but then again I don't care about spoilers. Tell me all you want, and I will still enjoy the show when I get to see it.

First of all: Wreck-Gar was pretty silly, but I loved every second of it.
He actually said the universal greeting from the original movie.
And does anyone find his head is based more on the original toy instead of the G1 character model?

Having just seen both "mission accomplished" and "garbage in, garbage out" all I have to say is wow.
Sentinel is just showing how incompetent he really is, and it can't happen soon enough. The whole 'Starscream ghost' thing is also a nice touch. Adds yet another G1 reference to a show that seems to not only live, but thrive on them. I approve.
Wreck gar is a tad . . . over the top. Then again, at least his voice modulations are not so warbled that it is difficult to understand. Not only did he say the universal greeting, but he did say 'I dare to be stupid' and that just made laugh. A very good homage to him, though I am still bewildered on the rest of the episode. Not in a bad way, but never the less a bit bewildered. Seeing Spike there was a good bonus, though.
Thanks for suggesting Youtube again . . . that was a great find!!!

I didn't find him that over the top, considering his unnaturally tentative way that whales robots come into existence. And that he was voiced by Weird Al. Although if someone didn't know he was voiced by him, it probably would've seemed over the top.
I found him very childish, which befits his sudden 'I exist' moment.
Also, your thoughts on Porter C. Powell as the 'Megatron' of the human villains?

I am not saying that Wreck Gar is a bad character, just a bit more than I expected in the exuberance department. Personally, I did like how he took Ratchet's words more than anybody else's. "I am good for only one thing . . . GARBAGE!!!"
Porter C. Powell is alright. Mostly because he is not a 'villian' per se. He is just a money-hungry and morality-deprived businessman. His aims are not to destroy the Autobots, just to make a truckload of money with every possible movement. I suppose he gets my approval as an antagonist because it isn't his aim to be that way.
The best villians never claim to be villians.

Well, I figured I'd ask because there's an episode coming up where the human villains all team up. The description made reference to 'a mysterious benefactor.' At first I figured it'd be Megatron for some reason that would be explained during the season.
Now, I'm starting to think it'll be Powell. After the microbots being destroyed, the Autobots would officially be 'bad for business.'
That's why I specifically asked your thoughts on him being the 'megatron' of the human villains.
I really like what they did with Powell. For such a major character, they told us nothing about him coming into the show.

Powell is awesome. He's been really well-handled so far.
I agree in that he's probably the mysterious benefactor. Didn't he fund Prometheus Black's stuff in season 1? I'm betting he's involved in a lot more dirty dealings than they've let on.

Just so that you aren't as dissapointed as I was, here's a head's up. The next episode, Velocity, shows Blurr, though he's not named, has no lines, and is only in vehicle mode the whole episode.
He looks like Speed Racer.

Not sure I agree with the Speed Racer reference, but there is a sleek look to him. As far as the charecter overall, I frankly am not impressed with the episode. There is a man on youtube that reviews the episodes in depth, and I have seen only his reviews of "Garbage in, garbage out" and "Velocity", and thus far agree with most of what he says.
For Velocity he said it is just . . . uninspired and dare I say boring. Again, I agree. The episode seems to make little sense from time to time, but overall it is just bleh.

I'll almost agree with you. I found it good... just not great. It got the short end of the stick, as all filler episodes do.
It's an episode I probably won't watch again until I'm either watching the whole series in order or I just realize it's been ages since I downloaded it and didn't watch it (like Nanosec).

Jut a heads up, the new episode on youtube is bad quality recorded off a webcam and is missing a lot of parts.
Might be worth it to just wait the week.
better quality's up.

At first I was a little wary of this new show when it first came out. I was not too keen on the robots' new looks (reminded me of Loonatics and Teen Titans type of styles), but after watching the first few episodes it started to grow on me. The storyline is usually decent and the characters are well done in personality and acting. It is also humorous in many parts while usually having plenty of action.
The Decepticons, more so Megatron and Starscream, are awesome. The new take on Optimus Prime is interesting to say the least. He isn't the usual hardcore commander this time, but rather a drop-out academy bot who is learning through trials and experiences to get to that high esteemed position.
And I was impressed by how many ties it has to G1! Although it also had ties to the latest TF movie...
On a side note, I am ever thankful to FanTransformers for uploading them. I am never able to see them at home. I can't wait to watch the newest episode. He said he would get the good quality one up soon.
It should be better than Velocity. That episode seemed like a waste; nothing really progressed. Most likely the rest of the episodes will all be about searching for Allspark fragments.

ehhhhh . . . Watched "Rise of the Constructicons" and frankly, it barely rates any better than "Velocity" with me. Mixmaster and Scrapper are goodfellahs now? I mean, their nievete is reminicent of Wreck-Gar, just without all the humor. The forced 'New York' accents are painful to hear, and the overall episode is not one of my faves at all.
I saw this coming with the 'gotta catch em all' attitude. As successful as it can be, fusing that element into a show does not make for a good show. Look how well the minicons fared . . .

Agreed. It wasn't as good as it seemed it would be. Their characterization was rather... Just not that great. And why are there only two of them?
Indeed. We will see how it develops though, for it is still seems to be a promising show.
