The only possible sign that he could be referring to was the rim of gray around his iris that his sister didn't have. His were a lighter green, too, but not noticeable enough to anyone who didn't look closely or hadn't known him since the day he was born. She continued to feed Thobias and rolled her eyes. "Peas are good for them. Full of all kinds of good vitamins and things." Washing her son's face and hands as he finished off his bottle, she lifted him out of the highchair and settled him on her hip, patting his back gently until he let out a burp his father could be proud of.
Thobias gave a yawn and rested his head against his mother's shoulder then lifted his hand and gave a baby wave to his sister as she ahead of him on the stairs.
Sam let Xearus handle the clothes and diapers and ran their bathwater, adding in bubbles and toys to keep them amused then took the naked girl and settled her in. Picking up the washcloth, she tickled her daughter's tummy and soaped it up then gently washed her little body. "Ready for shampoo?" Handing over the washcloth so Felicity could cover her eyes. "I know you hate this but it's got to be done if your hair is going to stay as pretty as Daddy's."

"Well that's my point though. If it skips a generation and say it only skips one child that generation, more pointedly the first born male child, then it did skip a generation so the next generation which is our kids, would get pinned." Heading upstairs to deal with the little ones and get them ready for bed. As she tended to washing their daughter, he plopped his son in the tub and took to washing him, but spared the boy too much face scrubbing. No sense in making the boy learn to hate the activity for later in life. "All these years and I'm still the one with better hair. That's amusing." Taking to washing his son's hair gently.
She took the washcloth and in such baby like fashion, plopped it over her face, but mostly upper across her eyes so her nose wasn't obscured and she could breahe as she made a few noises, kicking and splashing some in the water as she let her mother do what was needed so she could be clean.

Understanding dawned and she nodded. "You're an anomaly in that sense, hmm? I see. Well, if they change then he'll look just like you except their noses. He got my cute little button nose." Tapping said nose before taking to gently washing her daughter's hair, soaping it up and then rinsing it out. Lifting her daughter out of the tub, she wrapped her in the towel with the puppy on it, leaving the rocket ship for Thobias and carried her into the other room. Diapering and soft footie pajamas in a light green later and Sam settled her in her crib with a kiss and the same phrase she whispered every night.
He sat mostly still for bath time, not completely adverse to it. The only thing he really hated wash his face washed because the cloths were rough and it irritated his skin. He distracted himself by pushing the toy boat around and then messing with the duck as well. Lifting a plastic toy clam to show his father, he pressed down and a stream of water left the toy and splashed his father. Thobias covered his mouth and giggled then squeezed it again to see if it would work again. Things like that just fascinated him.

Mmm, victim of bath toys. Wasn't a new thing for him at all and he merely wiped idly at the wet spot on his shirt before finishing the boy's bath and picking him up, wrapping him in the towel that was left and then drying him off on the way to the room, where teh land of clothes and diapers was once again the must and her finished drying his son's hair before laying him down in the crib next to his sister.
She was always mellow after a bath and thus caused no more fuss for her mother. Merely made baby noises and smiled at the familiar voice as a little yawn escaped and she rubbed at her eyes, immediately grabbing for her brother as he was laid in next to her and cuddling up to him.
"Cute, ain't they?"

They had that in common, he merely letting his father do whatever he needed to and latching to his sister in common gesture. He smiled faintly as his mother's lips brushed his cheek, grabbing his animals and his sister's and closing his eyes.
"Perfectly so." She watched the two tired little ones settle and slip off to dreamland then wrapped an arm around Xe's waist, leaning against him. "And tiring." Grown up time just might consist of flopping on the bed and falling asleep against each other today. She suppressed a yawn, resting her head against Xe's shoulder for a moment as they watched then tugging him out of the nursery. She flicked the light switch and cracked the door then headed into their room. "Hungry?"

He watched them nod off, all happy in their own worlds before hsi wife pulled him out and he laced an arm around her shoudlers, walking with her down the hall lazily to their own room. "Not for anything in particular." Pulling her around as they reached their room and brushing his lips against hers lightly in a kiss before a chuckle. "Yes tiring, but in the good kind of way. Pretty soon, they'll be running into our rooms to jump on our bed and what not and wake up us. That'll be fun. Did you make that appointment at the clinic for them yet?"

She returned the kiss and then flopped down onto their bed, dragging him with her and reached for the phone. "I'm ordering pizza then. You aren't in any mood to cook and we're not even going to attempt what I can do." Placing the order with their friendly neighborhood pizza parlor, whom they'd discovered were willing to deliver at any time, she ordered their usual and flopped against him. "Walking...I just got used to them crawling. We need to start encouraging them to use their fangs, too. Their other teeth should finish coming in soon. And yes, I did. Business has picked up in the clinic considerably since our visit and they'll be calling us when they finally have an opening."

"Pizza, how lazy of us." But hey what worked worked when you were keeping track of kids all night long. Laying in bed with her as they waited for food, he gave a light sigh and a raise of an eyebrow. "Oh they have hm? Well...suppose that could be good or bad. Have to fight for appointments now but at the same time, lots of twins for other twins to play with too hm?"

The doorbell rang a moment later and she sent Xe to get it because she was feeling really lazy. Taking a slice from the box, she took a bite and then chuckled, "Potential playmates, yes. But I only want them having positive emotional relationships, Casanova. No friends that will end up on the wrong path and everything else. I don't want to have to worry about my babies anymore than usual." Picking off a piece of Italian sausage and feeding it to him. "You can grade your tests if you need to."

He fetched their pizza, as well as some cans of soda just because if you were having pizza you might as well go all the way with the bad stuff. Laying on the bed next to her with the pizza box inbetween them, he ate the little things she had a tendency to pick off when she wanted to and tended to his own slice as well. "You say it like I wouldn't mind them having such a thing with something negative. I'm an psychologist Sam, that's one of those 'are you allowed around my children' qualifiers." Then an annoyed noise. "Crap...I forgot all about those...but I guess I can do them tomorrow. I'm more inclinded to cuddle up to you and this pizza right now."

"I always forget that about you shrinks." Teasing him just because she could. "Have to analyze everyone you meet." Finishing off two and a half slices, she handed the last half over and settled back against the pillows. "Yes, you can do them tomorrow. I'll watch the kids and give you some quiet time. I was hoping for real grown up time tonight but I'm not sure if I'm too worn out or tired for sheet play. Opinions?"

"Not everyone, just people we think we're going to be around for long periods. Or at least those our families are going to be around. Remember, I was on the force and I saw a lot of things that weren't pleasant...I rather like knowing I want to mentally scan everyone for the safety of my family." Of course eating what she didn't want before it was his job to go stash pizza them come back, flopping on the bed again and snagging his wife around the waist, pulling her close to him and pressing a kiss to her hair. "There's always tomorrow. It's no fun if we both aren't up to fully enjoying such things. We'll plan some time for us here soon. Just us. How about that?"

"It's actually a comfort. You have insider knowledge that a lot of parents don't when they allow their children to associate with some people who end up causing them lots of problems. I like that about you as long as you don't turn it on me which you never do so everything's fine." She spooned with him easily enough, snuggling down and nodding. Kicking off her shoes, that fatigue that always seemed to pop up slid over her like a blanket. Her career was right where she wanted it to be, she and Xe were on smooth water once again, and her babies were sleeping down the hall. She was a happy woman and her lips quirked in a smile before she slipped off into sleep, cuddled in the arms she adored. It was almost heaven and that was good enough for her.
