Nikki noticed the puppy was sleeping, so she clasped her hands behind her back and rocked back and forth from heel to toe to contain her excitement and not wake the puppy. She grinned happily when she noticed he held the puppy closer to her, and excitedly asked some questions.
"Hi! That's such a cute puppy! What's his name? What kind is he? Where did you get him? Who are you? Where are you from? Where'd you get that cool mask? Do you happen to have any water? I'm feeling woozy..."
Nikki promptly fell over from dehydration. In all her excitement about being in Hollywood, she forgot to get some water.

Edgar raised an eyebrow at the collapsed girl. He looked around for any witnesses and when the coast was clear, he picked up the girl with his other arm. He traveled about, searching for a hospital, and finally found one a few miles away. After checking her in, he took a seat and waited for her. He had nothing better to do.

Rayne looks over at Kourjd. She wasn't sure what to make of him. Her mom kept her away from most of the other Olympian children. She shrugs it off and continues watering the plants.

Nikki woke up some time later with an IV in her arm. She noted the solution, just normal saline, 0.9%. 'O.K. I hope that doesn't mean anything too bad. Why am I in a hospital, anyways?' A doctor walked in and started poking and prodding her, asking her questions. Noticing she looked better and had no complaints, Nikki was taken off the IV. Two more hours later, she walked into the lobby, list of instructions in hand. She was surprised to notice... 'Oh, I never did get a chance to find out his name. Hehe, oops.' She walked over to him with a smile on her face.
"You waited for me."

Edgar nodded as he stood up, adjusting his large black trench coat and brushing the hair from his eyes. His eyes seemed to ask if she was okay.

Understanding the look in his eyes, she responded, "Oh, I'm fine. I was just dehydrated. I've never gone that long without water before so it was a bit unexpected. Sorry to be a bother." She dropped down into a little bow in apology, and when she stood up she stuck out her hand. "Hi, I'm Nikki. What's your name?"

Edgar was afraid to speak. His voice, such a terrible, inhuman voice. He thought nervously for quite some time before finally speaking. "My name is... Edgar," he said, his voice like that of a growling creature from beyond space and time.

((Sorry I took so long to post back peoples. It's just that I've been busy playing my new Wii... sweatdrop ))
"No, you won't get a mutant plant, Koujrd. And these are roots, not seeds." Drecklor sighed, and tried not to show his irritation. He touched the sharpened stick that was in Koujrd's hand, and made it really heavy. At least three hundred pounds. He smiled. Koujrd didn't seem to notice the obvious. So Drecklor used his 'powers' around him constantly.

Nikki smiled, hardly taking notice of Edgar's voice, though the surrounding people seemed rather frightened.
"Do you want to go get something to eat? I'm starving," Nikki said as she started heading for the door. "Oh, thanks for waiting for me. I didn't expect it at all since I'm a total stranger and all. Why did you wait, anyways? Surely you had something better to do."

Edgar shook his head. "To eat... I'd have to take off my mask," he replied. "It would be best if I did not eat." He followed after her. "I waited because I was concerned. It's sad to see people in pain or trouble. I had to help you."

Nikki almost interrupted Edgar to ask about his aversion to taking off his mask, but decided tact would be a better option and waited for him to finish speaking and hugged him. "Oh, that's so sweet! How did you become so kind? It seems most people in this world are... inconsiderate." She beamed at him when she released him from her grasp. "Anywho, if you aren't going to eat, suit yourself. I'm going to look for a baked potato stand. Your free to join me, if you so wish."

Edgar was surprised by her action. The only time he was ever hugged was by his father. "When one is as ugly as me," he said, "one learns that overbearing kindness helps in the long run." Once released, he shrugged. "I guess I can go with you. Loni and I have nothing else to do" He cuddled Loni as he spoke.

"Oh, Loni! That's such a cute name!" Nikki started getting excited by the puppy again, but something clicked in her mind. "Ugly? Who says you are ugly? I do believe I find you to be cute, though the gas mask does confuse me a bit. And— oh, look! A 7-11. I need to pick up some water and do you happen to know if they sell potatoes? I don't think they do, but it can't hurt to look." Thus Nikki marched off to 7-11, determined to buy, at the very least, an X-treme Gulp™ Mug full of water.

Edgar knew that he was not entirely ugly. The rest of his body had been blessed by his mother. "The gas mask is to hide my ugliness," he explained. "I keep it on so people will not be so afraid of me." He followed after her and waited outside, because pets are not allowed.
