"I'm sorry, it's just a little overwhelming now that I think about it." She whipped her eyes with her paw, clearing up the dark red stains on her cheeks.
Jina couldn't help but laugh at his face. She knew that that smile would always be able to cheer her up. She'd soon learn that she'd love that smile, that that was one of her quarks that would make her fall for him even more. In her eyes, she was able to see the cub in him. See his true personality.
"I guess your right." She said as she as she smiled slyly.

"Haha, that's better," he said, rolling onto his back, letting his paws rest on the base of his mane, near his chest. It seemed a bit warmer in here with one body. Even though they had spent a lot of time together today, it was still only the afternoon.
"So, what would you like to do for the rest of the day? Just relax, since I'm sure you've done a lot of running. Or we could try to go out and find something to eat, if you're hungry..."

She looked over to him, and thought, "Well, I am a little tired." She said as her stomach let out a large growl. She placed her paw over her stomach trying to hide the noise. "Ehehe...guess I'm more hungry than tired." Her stomach grumbled in agreement.

Feo smiled, doing his best to not laugh at her. Well, if she was hungry, she was hungry, and she wouldn't be able to stop that.
"Well, okay...how about this. I'll let you rest here for a moment, and I'll try to see if I can get something for you. Is that alright?" He hoped she would be okay with it, especially if she expressed that she was tired, on top of being hungry. He was sure he could get something soon, especially with the determination that he had to get Jiza something fantastic. Just...hopfully not too large, he didn't want to overdo it, either!

"That sounds great, thanks Feo." she smiled warmly at him.
Suddenly, her paws ached with pain, she tried not to show it in her expression but a small twitch came to her eyes. She waited until he was gone to groom her paws. She didn't want him to worry any more than he had. She figured that if she licked them, she'd be able to dull the pain away; and slowly it did.

Feo's ears twitched behind him as he took a step to leave, peeking quickly back at her with a smile before making his way to try and find her something to eat. He didn't quite notice her pain, he wrote it off as pure fatigue.
He hoped with all his heart that she would still be there when he returned. A piece of him would always be fearful of that, at least for a little while. He had to learn to put a lot of trust into her. One step at a time.
It had taken much longer then he had wanted to get her something, and the sun had passed it's highest mark while he was out, and it aws growing into later afternoon by the time he returned. All he had managed to pull back was half of a gazelle, not much, but hopefully she would still be greatful for it.
"Jina?" he asked, the limb of the gazelle still in his mouth. He didn't want to intrude on her, just in case she had fallen asleep.

As it turned out, sleep had taken hold of her. The lioness's ears twitched lightly as she heard his voice. She quickly lifted her head and still half asleep, she spoke "I'm up! I'm up.." She looked over to him and a yawn escaped her lips. "Did I fall asleep?" She asked a little embarrassment.
The smell of the gazelle came to her nose and she licked her lips. When she realized what it was a bright smile came to her face. "Is that what I think it is?" she asked as she stood to greet him. "You caught a Gazelle? That's my favorite!" She exclaimed as she jumped up and down with excitement.

Feo dragged the gazelle to the entrance of the cave before dropping it there. He wasn't going to mention just why there was only half there, but he did have to make a deal with another lion just to get the meal.
"Oh, really?" he flushed, pleased she liked it so much. It was comforting that she had taken a nap, though, for it really showed that she was tired. All his worries disappeared as he nodded at the carcass, motioning Jina to go ahead and eat whatever she wanted.

She started to eat, speaking in between mouthfuls. "Yeah, dad would always catch one on special occasions." She smiled, licking her lips. She beamed up at Feo, "It tastes amazing!"

Feo stared at Jina for a moment before breaking out in a laugh. "Well, I'm glad," he said, before moving a bit more in the cave. It was growing just a bit later now, and even he was starting to get tired! It had been a long, but very happy day for him.
He laid himself down, letting a small grunt escape as his body hit the ground. Ohh, it was cool, and it sure felt good on his fur.
Now, though, he didn't really know what to say. Hopefully Jina would stay for more than just a night, but there was noooo way he was going to say that. Nuh uh, he really didn't want her to take it the wrong way.
"Feeling full?" he teased her, his tail flicking behind him.

Jina looked back over to him, smiling lightly. "Why are you hungry?" she asked as she walked over and lie down beside him, licking his cheek lightly. She did miss him. It almost felt like this was a dream. One where she would wake up in the morning and she'd be back at the sea's shore with her mother and her new siblings.

Feo flushed, moving a bit to hide his face. "Sometimes I think you do that just to make me embarassed," he said, not grumpily, but certainly a bit awkwardly. He gave off a short little laugh before answering her question. "No, I'm okay, I just wanted to make sure you got neough to eat." Since...well, he really didn't know how long she had been running to return here. The thought made his stomache turn, but his heart skip, as well.

Jina gave him a wink, "Maybe I do." She said with a giggle. A yawn escaped her lips along with a soft roar. Now that her stomach was full, fatigue started to sweep over her more rapidly. Her eyes became heavy, and soon closed. Jina shifted her position so that she was now leaning up against Feo, as she layed her head down onto her paws.
Absent mindedly she let four small words escape her mouth, "I love you Feo..." She was soon fast asleep.
