Sisao, the small light green fire lizard, flitted back into the kitchen. This time soaring through the narrow passages, exhilirated by the fast movement through the small walkways.
She darted into the kitchen and landed neatly on a beam above the tables looking around with her jeweled eyes at the food below.

Rean observed wide-eyed with interest as the other green reappeared. Finally a chance to escape her certain doom with an over egocentric gold. First she tested Bren by landing on her bondeds shoulder opposing the queen. Then watched as the gold scurried down a old stain sleeve then launched into the air and blinked into the between. The green the made her way back to Sisao, landing on the other side of the beam creeing a greeting.
Nico scrabbled her mind trying to think of whom the other gold had belonged to. She must send her apologies to her owner; it was quite rude of her to spread her troubles with controlling her party. Yawning she reached back wishing there was someone to talk to, even Zareth had made his way back to sleep.

Sisao creened a greeting in return. Her blink back to her weyr had resulted in her bonded taking the meat roll from her and promptly sending her back to the kitchen for more. She hadn't minded, because he had given her half the meat roll and scritched her in just the right places and added a small dab of oil. She was perfectly happy, except that she was still hungry.
Carefully watching for cooks and other people, of whom she was still quite wary... Sisao dropped back down to the table and began to dig in to the platter of food, not wanting it to cool before she had a chance to eat.

At the disappearance of the other gold Flute calmed a bit and joined the green in digging through the platter of food. Instead of eating her select pieces, she seperated them into a pilebeside her and continued ot pick out more.

Sisao wasn't so sure of the gold before her, and stepped back a few paces and began to eat more slowly, carefully. Always keeping one swirling eye on the gold, the other on the food.

Flute simply trilled at her and continued removing her choice pieces until she had a nice pile. Once she finished she noed to pile a bit of distance from the bowl and began eating.

Sisao blinked, and then watched Flute for a moment, the waddled over to those choice pieces on her hind legs trying to figure out in her own way, why the gold had piled them up over here vs just eating them off the platter. Very cautiously she got closer, and then she snagged a small bit from the edge of the pile, farthest from the queen, and gulped it down.

Choice bits were choice bits for Flute, and no one else. Flute sqwacked angrily when the other flitt stole one of her pieces and hissed. With a large flapping of wings she nearly sat atop the slices of meat, guarding them with her eyes whirling red and orange.

Sisao jumped up into the air away from the queen wanting enough clearance to go between if necessary. She circled the kitchen a few times squacking back in distress but ten appearing with a yawn and a stretch her bonded C'tari came through the door and leaned against the door frame eyeing the little gold on her mound of meat rolls amusedly.
Sisao landed on his padded shoulder and complained about the golds actions loudly and shrilly until C'tari scritched her head in just the right place.
He strode over to the queen and promptly sat down at the table watching her curiously and cautiously at the same time. He grabbed a meat roll which was decidedly as far from Flute's pile as he could reach and began eating it all the while watching the little queen and trying to deal with his own little Flit trying to hide from Flute behind his head.

Flute hissed menecingly at the green and hunched over her pile, covering it with her wings as she ate. She wouldn't gulp, since that was undignified, but she ate deliberatly and didn't take her whirling eyes off of the little thief.

Well Sisao, what in the world did you do to make her so mad? C'tari searched through the pile of meat rolls and found one that was especially warm and absolutley perfect and offered it to the gold queen.
Sisao would have none of it though, watching her bonded feed another flit.. she lit into the air and began circling C'tari's head beating him with her wings until finally disappearing in anger at the insult.
(sorry... gotta run sweatdrop )

The gold watched the display with an air of haughty annoyance as she finished her pile, then slowly, slowly made her way to the human and took the meatroll in the blink of an eye.

C'tari chuckled at the now stuffed queen. Better not eat too much little lady, you're bound to make yourself sick. C'tari knew it wasn't true, but was always amazed, even now with how glutonous dragons could be. He reached out cautiously to touch the little queen and scratch her eye ridges.

Flute though, was not to be tamed by a simple meatroll. She leaned her head back out of reach and grumbled at the rider in flitt language before reclaiming her perch on the chair across from him.

C'tari laughed a bit at the little flit wondering who she belonged to. He looked around and ate a few more meat rolls. It was quite at this timein the kitchen and he sort of wondered where everyone might be. With that, he stood, grabbing a few rolls for the walk, bowed to the golden flit and wandered out of the kitchen to see if anyone was around.
