He had seen her. And now he was coming right at her and she was frozen to the spot again. Her knees shook with fear and she felt as though her feet were stuck to the ground. She stared at him in terror as he came closer.
"I.....I just....I think I've changed my mind. Its really...not that bad out there so....I...I think I'll go back."
She finally summoned the strength to pry her feet off of the ground, and she suddenly spun around and bolted towards the exit that they had left behind them. She didn't take the time to look back to see if he was following. She just kept her eyes forward, trying to see as best as she could in the darkness.
