Devin_Kruljac_Truessence I think that if they lowered the prices a bit more people would buy them and soon there wouldn't be much need for non-organic foods or very little and it'd help a lot. The problem is that it costs more to do things the right way- that's why people started cutting corners in the first place. Now consumers have unreasonable expectations of what food should cost, so it's more difficult to convince people to budget more of their income for groceries. Btw, where do you work? I'm always on the lookout for new stores with responsible product selections.^_^

Devin_Kruljac_Truessence I work at Shaw's Star Market. Cool- are they an organics store, specifically, or do they just have a really nice selection? I may need to put them up on the shopping guide.^_^

the best way is to some how convince the consumer to stop buying non organic any thing the way to get the message to the producers is to hurt them money wise when they see a shift in eating habits they will listen. I know some ppl wont change and trying to convince the masses to change eating habits is very very hard but it all starts with us the more ppl buy organic foods the higher the demand the lower the prices will become I'm already taking steps to change my eating habits when budget allows don't eat processed cheese or most brand name food stuffs only the ones that have already agreed to humane food handling practices. start small and work your way up.

OMG...I knew factory farms were horrible, but I never knew just how horribe until I watched this video.
Warning: it's graphic. REALLY graphic.
And this video is part of a website that supports vegetarianism, which I don't support, but I still think that it's a really moving view into what really goes on in factory farms.
http://www.goveg.com/factoryFarming.asp
Reminds me of what I've learned about Auschwitz. Except this has been going on for who knows how long. How did the Holocaust get so much attention (which I do think that it deserved, but I also think that this deserves just as much public attention) when this didn't? Damn humans and their arrogance. stressed
I'm glad I hate milk and beef. GO SOYMILK!!!!
