Silverpaw nodded rather sheepishly, "oh, alright then, I guess it beats leaving it out in the sun to thaw out." She meowed, hiding her embarrassment well. "I'll just go get the vole then-" She told Seastar, before padding toward the frozen vole lying on the ground and cracking it expertly. Then, feeling foolish, but definitely not showing it, she picked up the frozen animal and replaced it on the fresh kill pile, it seemed that much of the prey had frozen, but at least it wasn't rancid or anything, she studied the fresh kill pile for a bit longer before returning to her mentor, looking at him expectantly.
"Ice avoidance sounds good," she mewed, if that was really what it was, avoiding ice, then she probably needed it. "Is it about avoiding ice or something else?" She asked, then, without waiting for a reply, she started up again, "do you think that the tension between the clans will grow because of the reduced prey supply?" She asked Seastar, rather worried now, she was afraid they might have to go through a period of starvation, when no cat got enough to eat and many cats, especially kits died. ope the prey will be plentiful enough, maybe we won't have to worry about starvation or hunger. Maybe we won't encounter cats stealing our prey or frequent raids or anything, thought to herself, scraping her paws in the snow and looking thoughtfully into the forest.
