Ooo... what was that lovely smell? Eyes turned towards the bowls, especially the milk bowl. Sai's motioning seemed to click as well as the distance of the bowls. Okay.. so she had to go get it herself. Slowly pushing herself to her paws, the kit wobbled. Taking a few unsteady steps towards the bowl before she lost her balance and flopped on her belly. She let out a cry of frustration. Despite that, any attempts to help her would be refused. Her lip stuck out and eyes shone with determination. After some moments, she managed to crawl/half walk to the bowl of milk and start lapping up her reward.

Perhaps the male was overreacting to just how he should go about responding to the kit. But he simply didn't know what to do for the angelic, except answer her basic needs of hunger and sleep. Otherwise he was in a state of bafflement to what her baby chatter meant. He could only pray that kits were easily amused, and that this bobtailed one was no different.
Eyes cast to the other adult in faint surprise. "Thank you, but that would be rude on my part. I can manage some more time." To find something as important as a baby and dump it on another, he couldn't do that either. Though the offer of rest was gratefully considered. By the time he looked back to the kit, she was already drinking eagerly from the white liquid. "I suppose she'll need a name then." Was that left on them to decide?

Quite honestly, Sai wouldn't mind if Embry took a short rest from this tiring task of raising this baby. She really could manage for a few hours by herself, and more than likely the little one would soon grow tired. They often slept after a meal. During that time she could manage rather well on her own. The little one would be fast asleep, and all Sai would have to do was ensure the baby's safety or needs should she wake from her nap early.
She nodded in agreement, "Yes, I suppose we cannot call her 'baby' or 'little one' all her life. But what do we name her? Or is it really up to us to name her in the first place?" Her eyes peered back and forth between the little kit and Embry, unsure of the choices which lay ahead.

Well it wasn't like the kit could have a say in the matter of her name. It was a shame her comrades didn't recognize her... despite being a baby, then it wouldn't be so hard. Oh well... perhaps in time they would. The little kit lapped from the bowl of milk, completely ignoring the water. She eventually crawled her way back to the towels and settled down there. After that, she then released an earth shattering belch... then put her head down and instantaneously fell asleep. o_O

Names...names. What could they name her? And if not them, then who? Striped muzzle shook in indecision. "'Baby' or 'little one' may be our only option for awhile." He was no professional when it came to pairing names with faces. Maybe they could test a variety of names and see which she responds best to.
Eyes blinked when he finally realized she had crawled back to the bundles so quickly. The burpy display made his ears fold back, and no second later, the kit was asleep. How...odd. His nerves finally returned to him, now that he couldn't worry of the guilt of young eyes staring up at him. Wings quivered a bit as if he was undergoing a chill. "Heh, what was I thinking?" Embry scrapped absently at his face and brow with a sigh.

She didn't even notice the little one crawled back into the bundle of warmth until the loud belch. At least they can relax now for a short while. Eyes turned back to the tired male, "This would be your best oppertunity to rest, if you wish." She could tell he was wearing down rather fast. He'd soon need a rest unless he wanted to crash.

Embry left his face to the shade of his paw, hesitating in thought. The kit was now safe, feed and asleep. Sai was here as a dependable second pair of eyes to keep watch. Still. The angelic shuffled to his feet before padding over to the opposite side of the bundle. There he laid himself, crossing front paws and cupping his chin there. "Then just...don't allow me to oversleep." He'd feel more guilty.

Seer was poking around HQ today, hoping maybe Aear had decided to drop by there. She couldn't really go out for a sail today because she had to watch the triplettes later, and the weather simply was not conducive to flying, and there really wasn't time to walk all the way to Trel's place in Gaia. That and, well, she'd gotten a not-quite-cold and didn't want to give it to everyone if it turned out to be more than not-quite. Well... she probably shouldn't give it to Aear, either, but she didn't want to stay away from him...
The yellow and ash phoenix angelic with the brightly colored feathers just so happened to poke her head into the space where Sai and Embry were. The sight of other angelics, especially ones she didn't know, made her momentarily forget her troubles in the excitement of meeting new people. And maybe friends after they met. That would be so wonderful!
Since the male seemed to be sleeping she announced herself in a soft voice and a wagging of tails. "Hello! I'm Seer. Who are you? Are you new here?"

Sai wasn't aware of the other angelic's presence here until she voiced herself. The colorful female jumped up slightly due to the surprise. How silly of her, caught off guard. The yellow and black angelic seemed friendly enough, so it didn't make her feel as bad as she normally would. She seemed a bit too friendly, however, so eager to introduce herself. Do all the locals act in a similar manner here, too?
"Hello, Seer...I am Sai. Yes, I am new to this area. It is safe to assume you are a local?" Her eyes sort of sized up the female in that non intimidating sense. She was just observing the colorful pattern she displayed. A rather interesting color display.

Guess sleep was too rude of a thing to ask for. Silver eyes reopened, ears lifting back to activity. Who was this, a new scent and voice. Embry shuffled upright and glanced to the stranger. Another angelic? So they weren't the only ones. But even so...
Tails flicked calm yet slowly behind him, like an observant cat. Seer. The male held his tongue and simply kept watch until he himself was addressed. A glance was flickered to the white female briefly, before looking down to the kit. Thankfully, she was still in slumber.

Seer smiled brightly and nodded. "Yeah, I live not... too horribly far from here." She spied Embry looking around and her countenance fell into an apologetic "oh dear" sort of look and she mouthed a barely audible, "Sorry!" to the male.
Then she spotted little Seraphina when Embry glanced back at her and her eyes lit back up for a moment before her brow suddenly furrowed as she got some sort of weird double vision of the kit. "That's... not right..." she murmured to herself. Ah... those used to Seer recognized such behavior from her, but it was probably rather strange for the two adult angelics.

She could hear the shuffling noises of Embry waking. Poor dear, just when he needed some rest, too. Guess he'll have to take one later. Maybe after another meal he could catch some rest with the little one again. Or she could convince him otherwise, forcefully or not.
Her eyes gazed worriedly at Seer as her eyes acted strangely. She couldn't tell if it was Seer or the kit. "Is something wrong, Seer? Or something wrong with the kit?" She voice her concern openly.

What's this now? Light wings spread before resting back against his tense back. "Are you related to her?" Perhaps, with how bright their pelts were. Otherwise, Embry wasn't too pleased with the thought of others taking notice to the vulnerable kit. The adult was fully awake now, not knowing what to expect. In all simple mindset, Sai, the kit and himself were a pack. Odd, but somehow settling for him. So what could possibly be said by this Seer character?

Seer blinked at Sai's queery, and then Embry's. She shook her head slowly at Embry. "Not related... I mean, I wish, I don't have any idea who my parents are, but we're not..." She grinned sheepishly. "I can tell... my power... I can tell if a thing is True or not..." She peered curiously at the kit again. "She's... well... not that she isn't supposed to be little... though I'm not sure how it works that's she's little..." She frowned. "I'm sorry, I just can't make sense of how she's supposed to be grown up and a kit at the same time. It's like seeing two people in one spot..." She shook her head after scrunching her eyes up and pointedly looked at somewhere that wasn't the kit. "Though that probably makes less sense for you two hearing it from me..."

Embry offered up a good guess. Even if the baby had reds Seer didn't, there was still a chance they were related, or that she knew someone related to the kit. They both had almost the same color of black as far as she could tell. Who knows, color combinations were a bit weird when it came to their kind.
Her head tilted to the side at Seer's explination. Wait, what? She ran the words in her mind a few times, trying to figure out some sense. Not supposed to be a kit? How is it that one isn't really a kit when she clearly was a kit right there? "I do not quite comprehend...Would you mind explaining it a bit better?"
