The band that basically introduced me to Grunge. Easily one of the most influential bands ever for me. There isn't one song that I dislike by Nirvana. I remember watching Smells Like Teen Spirit on tv as a child and LOVED it! I didn't listen to music much as a child (specifically between the age of 5-12) but Nirvana was an exception. I've loved them ever since I can remember. There just isn't enough I can say about Nirvana. Kurt's deep scratchy voice and mind blowing guitar abilities, Krist's booming bass, and Dave's exploding drums. Need I say more? I love all of their albums equally. Bleach, Nevermind, Incesticide, In Utero, Unplugged, Muddy Banks, and the Box Set was just pure brilliance. Their music is timeless and will always live on influencing generations to come.

tourniquetsmile I want the box set so bad. With The Lights Out? Mhmm, that's the one. I got it as a gift for xmas back in 2004 when it first came out. I'm not sure how much it is now but when it was brand new it was $40 I think if I remember correctly. Definitely one of the best gifts I've ever received. If you ever dig up the cash for it then definitely pick it up or better yet xmas is right around the corner so maybe you'll get it as a gift? ^.^

rockinmybrains i'm just curious,,,,,, anybody else think that Smells Like Teen Spirit isn't even one of their better songs??????? sweatdrop it was the song that turned me on to Nirvana but still,,,,,,, Its a great song, its the song that make them hit the main stream and "rape me" since it caused so much caos. When MTV was still a baby nirvana just became big they played there "Rage me" version and kurt i guess forgot the new words and started singing "rape me." u can still find the original MTV live performance on Ares p2p..But as for being there best.. MY #1 'nirvana' song is still "Where did u sleep last night" From the unplugged in new york...

Unplugged In New York...
I have a lot to say about those videos.
First off, The Man Who Sold The World was amazing. That song is proof enough, for me, that he didn't kill himself.
Second, For one of Nirvana's last concerts, Kurt looked so healthy. I mean, waayyyy healthier than he looked in a bunch of concerts that were near that time. He was prolly sober during that concert. His face looked so full and not sunken.
Third, Nothing on the top but a bucket and a mop and an illustrated book about birds.
Fourth, Grohl looks pretty happy during the whole thing.
Fifth, When listening to the recording, it is soooo silent for a live performance. Like the crowd is in rapture. Again, I'm gonna reference The Man Who Sold The World. Not the video, listen to it. You don't know its live until the very end, when everyone comes out of their trances and starts clapping like crazy.
