"It had to be you..." he muttered under his breath with a soft sigh. Slowly he moved to slip out of the den, most unhappy with the poor turn of events. He glanced over his shoulder uncertain what to say, how to express himself. He looked up at the cold afternoon sky and back down at the cool she wolf before him.
"If you ever need me..." It would have been nice to be wanted instead of needed, but with Necrala he would have to settle for what he could get. He almost hoped that she didn't need him, for he wished her no harm though it seemed to find her easily enough. It was as if nature wanted the corpse colored female to lay down and be as dead as she looked.

--- It had to be him... The femme thought out of slight spite, watching the exiting candy-bar wolf. This was good, she needed space. Space away from him, definitely. Winter would come and she'd stay in her den, curled up somewhere around six feet under like a dead dog, and sleep through the solitude. It'd be good for her. No un-needed feelings, no 'suiters' (she laughed inwardly at that thought) to deal with, nothing but her and her den in her terra.
--- "Of course.." Necrala replied customarily, though once again she simply refused to take him up on the offer. Once again. Which meant that most likely she would need help in the future, it was more than coincidence. Fate? No, much too strong a word for it. Nature most likely just wanted her gone. Maybe the world did want her to curl up and die, it'd suit her, her pelt anyway. Perhaps to cover up it's own mistake? Her birth was surely an accident, some deformed monstrosity coming from what should've been a normal little pup.

Musketeer slipped out and shook off trying to reorganize his thoughts. He looked around and then back at the dark entrance to the den he had helped build. If only there were some way to show Necrala, to understand her even. He sighed and slowly turned away to head back to his own packlands, after all he always had his family.
Still he couldn't deny that there was a deep sort of pain in his chest and while he could try to ignore it, it would cause him to come back again and again to be sure of the corpse colored femme's safety and well being.
