FluffyWuffieBunny Hey, does anyone know why it's called Subtext? Or a Subber/Shipper? "Subtext" because appernetly seeing Xena and Gabrielle as IN love is "sub" -text of the show and not canon... you have to read between the lines... or so they say. I would say it is main text... or just text. But whatever. confused I'm not sure about shipper though.... stressed

I usually just call certain relationships canon. I see Xena and Gabrielle canon as well as Ares and Xena..hehe I may even see X/G/A. But that's just in fanfiction. lol Basically canon are major relationships in the show.

Shipping, derived from the word "relationship", is a general term for fans' emotional and/or intellectual involvement with the ongoing development of romance in a work of fiction.
Shipping can involve virtually any kind of relationship — from the well-known and established, to the ambiguous or those undergoing development, and even to the highly improbable and the blatantly impossible. People involved in shipping (or shippers) assert that the relationship does exist, will exist, or simply that they would like it to exist.
....I looked it up.

There Are Two Kinds Of Tears; Ones For Those Who Leave You... Haha I agree. And really, it should be main text...it's so funny how people still don't believe they were lovers, when every single cast member (including Kevin Smith!) has said they completely and totally believe that Xena and Gab were together as lovers and soulmates, lol And Ones For Those You Can't Let Go

It's more fun believing they where lovers because it puts the story line in to a state of a some what "other world" fantasy. It also has a bit of a "sinfull" quality to it as well because they make it look like no one else in the show knows that they where lovers.

I had a total craving to see that scene a while ago. That's why I started this thread in the first place! I went and watched just that dance part literally like 30 times. It never got old. My favorite part was when she went "A chookie chookie chookie"
