Plague's legs buckled beneath him as the sharp horn pierced his shoulder, ironically in the same place Diabetia had injured him long before Tarnish had even been born. He felt his vision blurring from the blood running down his face from the wound his son had left on his skull, and he lashed out with his jaws, attempting to grab one of his legs as he fell to the ground.
It was obvious to him, now, that he truly hadn't fully recovered from his last battle, and was paying the price for it now, by his own blood no less.

"See, sister, how the wicked fall? I told you that something was coming, did I not?" His brow lofted slightly as he tilted his head to glance at her for a moment before slowly making his way over to the white, striped mare.
He leaned down, lips inches from his dam's ear when he spoke again. "... I told you to be prepared, Mother... You should have listened." Who knew if she would hear him in her current state... If she hadn't, perhaps his words would haunt her sleep instead.

He kicked at his father's jaw as the stallion tried to bite him. The crunch of hoof hitting skull brought a grin to his face. As he smirked down at the black stallion he moved over and set a hoof on his neck. He wouldn't crush him even though the temptation was great.
He wanted his father's life but killing him right out wouldn't make him learn anything. "Do you understand now Father? Do you see what you created?"
He leaned down so his breath hissed on the blood drying on his father's face. "You will never be greater than what you've built. I will always be stronger than you, always bigger, and i will always be able to crush you if you stand against me."

The sound of the hoof against his skull echoed throughout his head. The splintering pain was growing to be too much, and he struggled to rise though his vision was growing darker. How easily he had been taken down, aside from the fact his previous injuries had yet to heal. And by his own son, no less.
The words burned into his good ear, and he snapped when the mutant's face drew closer. The pain was too great for him to rise, his leg still much too damaged to be any good to support his weight. What was done was done, and if it was his time to die, he must face that fact.
"You may be stronger, but you'll fall yourself."
His face betrayed him, and he winced with the pain that surged through him.
"Maybe not today... ********, maybe not even by me, but you will fall, and you will fall hard."

Torment smirked as she watched her brother taunt their fallen mother. She had nothing more to say to the b***h, and giving her Father one last glance as he lay on the ground, turned her back to them all and walked back deeper into the forest. She hadn't done what she came to do, but instead found herself quite satisfied all the same. There might come a day when she'd regain the same opportunity and perhaps on that day she would take it, but for now she was pleased with the 'good news' and would remain watchful of her harlot mother in the days to come.

He straightened himself out, casting a glance over his shoulder at his sister before slowly making his way towards his brother and their fallen father. He eyed the mutant on the ground for a moment before glancing up at the other one... The one with the eyes dark enough to be forever burned in his own mind.
"We are even."
That said he turned away from the two, knowing that this would be, perhaps, the last time that he could turn his back on his brother. After this the tables would be cleared and there would be nothing left between them... For now.

He turned to look at his brother and nodded slightly. He would let him walk away but that would be the last time. If they crossed paths again Taint would be nothing more but another pawn to be used or stepped on.
Turning his attention down to his father he laughed. "No Father. That's where you are wrong. Unlike you i know my own faults. I know where i stand and what i am capable of. Unlike you i will not walk boldly into something i can not handle."

He heaved a long heavy sigh and closed his eyes, refusing to gaze up at the creature towering over him.
"You are still young, and you are still foolish... I was wrong about your strength, I can admit to that. But you overestimate yourself just as much as I underestimated you... and for that I will be glad that you will one day have what's coming to you."
He paused in his breathing, waiting for the inevitable last strike to occur. As he lay there, however, he couldn't figure out whether he was more disappointed in himself, or in his strongest child. Perhaps equally in both. But at this point, did it really even matter?

He snorted and almost laughed at his father. "You continue to underestimate things." he pressed harder on his father's neck as he grinned.
"When mother gives birth to whatever abominations she is carrying now i hope she takes them from you and them become as much of a nightmare as i am." With that he kicked his father's head one last time. If nothing else the stallion would fall into unconscienceness for the time being.
If some other unnamed terror happened upon them it wasn't any of his concern.

His eyes opened wide at the surprising words that came from his offspring's mouth right before Tarnish's swift kick met with his forehead. Just as he hadn't a clue then, the revealing twist was made known to him, and he had never seen it, nor expected it to happen.
As his mind blanked out due to the forceful blow, he couldn't help but wonder if it was possible to make the same mistake twice.
