My plan was to actually learn guitar then buy a six string. But beings that I'm really fail at the guitar.

My second hand 5-string was almost $600, but it was a discontinued model. 4-strings get just as stupidly expensive and sometimes more, it all depends on make, model and history of said model. @Hollow: 6-string basses are tuned differently than 6-string guitar so don't get your hopes up about your guitar ability passing over.

And 6-strings are hella expensive and strings are $20 more than four or five string sets I've found. You could pull a Jack Bruce and string your guitar with extra light gauge bass strings.

AHintOfMoonlight Well, I might as well put in my insight on this thread. Devilock > All nuff said twisted Nah. Only a few people can actually pull off the devilock, it looks like s**t when you have like a really fat guy with raccoon eyes. But like the guitarist from the Misfits it looks really good on.

May I suggest not being fat then? lol The only fat folks I have seen with Devilocks are the Misfats (Band). So I cant say much on that. Otherwise, just skinny folk, and everyone I have seen with it look fine.

Lol. Make sure it's long enough, I met this pseudo-emo kid who thought he was metal and punk for like Korn and Good Charlotte, he didnt have it long enough to go down his whole face, so it was only 2 inches long and it ended at his eye brows so it looked really stupid, not only that but he dyed his hair bleach blonde. It was so funny.
