Arvis_Jaggamar Daxelman HaloMaster9494 Wii4Mii, let me put it to you this way: everything you just said about Haze doesnt sound convincing at all. you get different sides, each with different abilities. that is seriously not as unique as you think. thats like the 4,000th game that has done that this month. also, from what you said, Haze looks like a combination of 4 better games: Halo, Counter Strike, Half-Life, and Call of Duty 4. and just because a game isnt hyped doesnt mean it isnt good. Borderlands and Dead Space arent very well known, but they still look awesome. Haze however, looks like just another generic shooter that is trying to beat out every other great shooter out there. and its on the PS3. the sad truth is that due to the console's poor sales, Haze probably isnt going to attract a wide audience. look back at what happened to Resistance: Fall of Man. hypd up shooter, but turned out to be very generic, and a combination of Quake and Call of Duty. unless if the PS3's sales make a huge increase, which I doubt will happen, Haze will most likely be forgotten. sometimes, the truth really sucks.

Lemmie put it this way, You can play Halo, without any tactics, or else you wouldn't be getting your a** kick'd by a 10 year old.
Looking at Haze, this could take some tactics, hell, even some deep thought for some, cause you know, it aint just, "walk in, shoot stuff."
This guy is pretty rude. But then again, his name is not "TactMaster9494" or "MannersMaster9494". And I agree, Halo pretty much only requires thumbskill and a wee bit of foresight and experience (knowing what weapons to use when, etc) to be able to play it well. But that's not necessarily a bad thing. "Approachability" can be a major factor in a game garnering a following.
True, But still, Its pretty sad when your a "HaloMaster" and still get you a** kicked buy a kid who thinks the sum of 2 and 2 is 22.
That's Halo for yah, it happens to everyone, even me. On more occasions than once.

oh, that is where you are very wrong. that may be so on easy or normal mode, but if you do that on Heroic and Legendary mode, you will get your a** kicked.

Unfortunately Final Fantansy doesn't appeal to everyone. CoD4 is the closet to beat Halo 3 because it may have a better first-person single player and awesome mutliplayer.

Considering the Steam network is larger then the entire install base of Xbox 360, Orange Box has a good chance of beating Halo 3.
Also, Unreal Tournament III.

The only reason Crysis won't beat Halo 3 is because the system requirements for decent play are too high for average consumers.
Also, you have some crazy bad tastes if you think the monster closet Doom 3 was better then Halo 2 in anything except graphics.
Popularity? Halo 3 is a hype monster. Quality, there are tons of better shooters out there.
Edit:: id isn't that great a developer.

you guys need to remeber the classics. if they make a remake of Doom II (after all, Doom 3 was a remake of the first game) as a sequel to Doom 3, all they need to do is add vehicles, make monster closets less predictable, add new weapons, add human help, make it take place on Earth, use the id Tech 5 engine, and there you have it! a true Doom sequel! and id Software DEFINED the first person shooter. this is true: if you dont respect id for what it is, you have NO taste at all. Doom, as archaic as it is, is even more important than Halo, Final Fantasy (not that FF was important...), and pretty much every modern game combined. hell, the Doom engine may not have been the first 3D engine, but it was a big step forward at the time.
