She nodded, acknowledging her request. She looked out the window as the girl left. Quite an interruption to her solitude, this girl was. Erin grabbed her hat and left, walking the opposite direction as the girl who had just left, towards the village. She looked sweet, in her wide brimmed hat and sun dress, her pale skin with golden freckles. Harmless enough, right? She walked into the small pub there and sat, ordering something strong, black tea with sugar, just watching the people, wondering just how many people would know who she was, or rather, what she was.

Tamara backed out, and walked across the way towards the strange emanations she got, towards the smell of magicked paint. This time she was bolder, striding up to the door and knocking firmly.
She was resolute. She needed to warn everyone.

Ooc: Sory for the spam, but I must ask: Is this roleplay still open to new players? I have a (or what I hope to ba a) fabulous idea for a 'theme'. If this rp is, indeed, closed, I shall delete my spam.
I thank you for your time and consideration. ^^

Kemry grinned as she stepped away from the finished picture on her slanted drawing table. It was a small, doggish creature with large crested ears. In her mind's eye she could see it mischievously playing, getting into trouble wherever it went. Paintbrush, curled up on her bed, stood up and sauntered over to the edge closest to the table to examine the page with the polite disinterest of a cat. A low rumble stirred in his throat as he sniffed, and his fur began to stand on end. Laughing to herself she scooped him up in her arms, only to drop the struggling animal once again on the bed.
Puzzled she stared at him, now hissing at the faintly quivering paper. Dismissing the movement for a breeze through her open window, Kemry heard the faint knock downstairs. I wonder who that could be, she wondered as she went to answer, her parents both at work. As she reached the door and pulled it open a blood curdling screech echoed down the stairs from her room. She shook her head, Something is wrong with that cat.
The door open, Kemry found herself face to face with the same girl that she had watched from the window seat. Suddenly feeling very awkward she forced a pleasant smile. Social interaction was not her strongpoint. Confused as to why the stranger had come to her door as well, Kemry looked at the odd determination on the girl's face and asked carefully,
"Can I help you?" She flinched at another bloodcurdling yowl, followed by an odd, musical bark and the sounds of falling objects that perplexed her.
What is going on up there?

OOC: First off, we're still open. Secondly, Once you have been "introduced" feel free to interact with each other as well. Anyone who has been "introduced" can also wander out and "discover" other people. (this makes it so my character doesn't have to visit everyone and make everyone wait for all those interactions before starting.) Please wait for either Tamara or another active character to "find" you before posting, unless you post like Kemry did... Stating you are "nearby" where someone else is being "discovered".
Next, Please take note of what I did when someone posted destroying half the town. God-Moding or being a Mary Sue is NOT something that will be tolerated.
Thank you for your attention.

"Well yes... I sensed your magic and I needed to talk to you. It's very important. you could be in danger."
She interlaced her hands behind her neck and smiled. "Not from me, you understand... but from them"
"My name is Tamara Joan, and I too am a magician. I want to help. Might I come in?"

Kemry blinked. Magic, me? As if. Quietly she debated the best way to get rid of the girl on her doorstep, wondering how Erin had done it. She could only imagine. Erin seemed nice enough from Kemry's little knowledge of her, but she was more like the calm before the storm than anything else from Kemry's perspective.
A loud crash echoed at her back and she turned to see a streak of white flying down the stairs. Paintbrush scrambled up her legs, his claws painfully pushing though the tough fabric of her jeans until she held him in her arms. At the bottom of the staircase the remains of a large expensive flower vase lay shattered on the hardwood floor.
"What in the world?" gasped Kemry as she stepped out of the open doorway and into the hall at the foot of the stairs, sensing something was off. At the top, a large figure stood panting, its mischievous eyes glinting. A short tail wagged in glee as a sketchbook dangled from its mouth. Too shocked to be angry Kemry stood there horrified, the possibility of magic seeming A LOT less ridiculous. It was just a quick sketch--a doodle , she thought backing toward the open door where she had left Tamara, who suddenly sounded very sane.
“Nice doggy?” she whispered, trembling nearly as much as Paintbrush as she racked her brain, trying to remember exactly how she imagined the thing in her mind. It wasn’t promising.
Spinning around and uncermoniously dumping her cat on the doorstep Kemry slammed the door shut behind her, heart pounding. Turning almost nose to nose with Tamara she smiled awkwardly.
"I think inside is out of the question at the moment, umm, how about out here?" she giggled nervously, sharp high barks on the other side of the door. My parents are gonna kill me...

Erin roamed the streets, frowning softly. The skies that had just been cheery had clouded over in her unease. Fog began rolling up the shores from the river, settling over the land in a blanket of haze. "What am I going to do." She muttered to herself. Her mind was just as foggy and undecided as the weather. She sat on a bench in a near by park, contemplative and utterly withdrawn and introspective. With a shake of her head she stood, "What choice to I have?"
She looked out to the sky "What do I need to do, Ms. Joan?"

With an ambling gait, Wufei walked in the middle of the road, getting out of the way only for the occasional car. No one could see his expression, how he looked, because the entirety of his body was wrapped over with a mesh of tattered blankets, strips of cloth. Even the shirt he had worn as he had set out, all sewn together poorly with yarn... it seemed as if the whole thing was about to collapse on itself. A strip of cloth half covered his eyes, so he could only look down, stumbling occasionally on his own garb. His right hand lay in a fold on the inside of his dress, while the left clenched the skin of his belly. His hunger had become naught but a dull pain 10 miles back. Still, exhaustion flooded his bones. He had a hard time seeing, let alone thinking straight, and the public knew well enough to avoid him, like a dead flower in a garden. He walked along one of the parkside roads, everyone else in a festive summer mood, barely clad as they ran chasing each other around the park. Suddenly the pangs started up again, ripe and painful in his stomach... he was soooo hungry... Looking around him clumsily, he noticed the hazy figure of a girl out of the corner of his eye, sitting on a bench alone... hobbling over, he forsook his pride, and asked her, without making eye contact: "Do you have any money?" the voice was clear despite weakened... but he knew he'd need to eat if he was going to live... and he sure as hell wasn't going to die of hunger. He thought 'She'd better do what I say... or she'll regret it.' He was desperate now. It was life or death for him, not just a preference... and if that meant killing her, he'd do it... his hunger had made him immoral.

"Sure, we can converse out here."Tamara's lips didn't move and the voice was only heard in Kemry's head. "I have the ability to speak directly to those who wield magic. There are... creatures out there who want to either use you or destroy you. I am trying to gather as many magicians as I can together so we can fight them off." Tamara continued out loud now; "I see you are a bit occupied right now. Just think of talking to me and I'll hear you. If you wish to know more, we can get together when... you have more time to concentrate." She giggled a little, but waited for Kemry's response before she left or did anything else.

"I have a place we can meet at. At the edge of town, there is a small park. In the center of this park is a tall oak tree. Those with magic can touch the tree and have it reveal the doorway I found to a rather large room that is somehow inside. I think its a Faerie thing, but we can use it to meet and hide from the creatures. Also, I know you can't sense mages like I can, but if you find anyone obviously using magick, let me know."

Kemry's eyes widened as she not so much heard as felt Tamara's voice inside her hear. Her heart fluttered in nervous exitement as she took it all in, her mind racing. Magic, her magic. She thought back to the creature, the slight quiver of the paper as she had stepped away from the finished drawing. The magic to bring her art, her fantasies, to life. She looked back at Tamara, too excited to feel any of her prior shyness.
"This is amazing," she said softly, looking at her hands as if she had never known they were there. Looking up she continued, "but what do you mean creatures after me, us? How many others are there, is Erin--" she stopped, a babyish whine and soft scraping sounds on the other side of the door, just loud enough to hear. Wanting to see if it were really there, really real she acted on an impulse and pulled the door open. The creature tumbled out the door, scrambling to it's feet as it looked up at her, its tail wagging.
Sheepishly she shrugged and smiled back at Tamara before bending down on her knees to cautiously pet the creature behind the ears, it's long, velvety fur almost weightless between her fingers. Amazing...
"Actually, let me get my sketchbooks, I need to figure this out now. Is there anywhere we can go? I doubt my parents would be happy that I've - acquired - a lovely magical dog that's already destroyed half the house in less than a minute. I think I should at least get him away from here." Her thoughts drifted as she stroked the creature, the remains of one of many sketchbooks dangling in it's teeth.

She held the back of her hand to her nose, this figure's oder somewhat offensive. "I do not." She said starchly, her eyes as unreadable as the weather seemed to be. Erin looked at the rag covered figure and shook her head, "No, I haven't any bloody money on me but I can't every well let some jerk decide to rid the world of ya." She stood and took the man's arm. "Come on, I'll cook you something... I haven't cooked for anyone in a long time, but it's better than the diet you've been on." She said, leading him to an old and rusted out car that she'd salvaged from a junk yard. "But I'm warning you... You are going to take a bath before I feed you... and you will wear clean clothes..." She opened the passanger side door. She'd made up her mind to meet Tamara, but later, when she could wrap her rather spread thin self around the enormity of what was taking place.

"Yes, I think you should bring all of your sketches... just in case..." She started striding down the street, confident in the fact that she'd be followed... and then suddenly... She sensed yet another magician! She thought it was Erin at first because it was wind related... then she saw birds. And that it was male. But it was all right because they were headed right towards him. He was in the park. Apparently speaking to birds. Quote: Name: Shin Yiki Age: 17 Element: Wind
