zinc tried to cheer charis up. after a minute, kalkara walked up to charis and asked her in the panther language, "do you smell anything?" charis nodded as she stopped crying, "nothing. which is bad. something is bound to happen." charis sniffed the air and smelled... 'the scent of a titan.' she thought, 'but not just any titan...' "its prometheus. he needs - i don't know, something from zinc..." charis said, "he's coming. zinc, show some respect, after all, he helped create humans and teach them what they know." zinc, charis and kalkara kneeled as prometheus walked up to them. "charis, you've helped me millions of times. why still kneel in my presence?" prometheus asked. "you want me to stand up?" charis asked.

"if you want to."

"but do you want me to stand up?"

"it's your choice!"

"but do you - "

zinc interrupted, "what do you want, lord prometheus?" "ah, zinc!" prometheus exclaimed, "i see you have inherited your mother's personality, and some of your father's. besides that, how are you?" zinc stared at charis, as if to say, "he came all this way just to meet me?" charis slapped him and told him to answer the question.

charis laughed. "it's not like you to keep following me, salan. what's going on?" charis asked, "wait!" she sniffed the air and gasped. zinc stared at her. "what?" he asked.

"that's not salan. it's - my mother, Sofia Alithes, Daughter of Kronos and a half-sister of Helen of Troy. kneel."

zinc, kery kalkara and charis kneeled at salan, who transformed into a beautiful 30 year old woman who looked a lot like charis. "hey! charis! its been a long time. how are you and who are your friends and why are you bowing to me?" "oh, sorry mom!" charis said, "mom, er, you know prometheus and kery, and kalkara! this is zinc, son of poseidon, i'm helping him kill your father."

"ah, yes. father never did appreciate me."

"why are you here?"

"charis, it's just that - zinc's mother...let me talk to zinc in private."

zinc got his privacy. "what is it?" zinc asked, standing up, "what about my mother?" "well, zinc..."sofia continued, "i don't know how to put it but - oh wait, yes i do. zinc, your mother was killed by salan. he thought he could get your mother as a hostage to lure you to him, but, i followed him and, when he saw me, he looked at me and asked fo my hand a millionth time. after that i declined and as a punishment, he killed your mother. he wanted to make you think it was my fault so you wouldn't trust me, and please, still trust me!"she looked into zinc's eyes, as if to ask for his trust.

"zinc," charis whispered to him, "calm down. i feel your pain. at first you may regret yourself, but...you will eventually feel it is right. and, i'm only saying this because, i really don't want you on kronos' side, but...i can bring your mother back. i can use my light powers to revive her...but, it will require losing my own life." sofia looked at charis and kind of smiled, 'there she goes again,' sofia thought, 'the i-will-bring-them-back=to-life-thing. she asks, they decline, they get used to it. that's my girl!' zinc looked at charis as a hound with blood-red eyes walked up to her. "salan, what do you want?" charis asked as she grabbed the dog by its ears. "i want to make a deal." he said.

"what sort of deal?"

"i will tell you kronos' weakness and bring zinc's mother back to life using a healing technique i have developed."

"what's the catch?" sofia asked with curiosity.

"that's easy, my dear. you must let me kill charis."

zinc looked at salan, "i REALLY hate you. but i have to make a choice..." zinc muttered.

suddenly, charis gets up to stop zinc and jumps in front of him and salan. "charis! what are you doing?" zinc asked. there were tears in charis' eyes. "i'm sorry zinc! it's all my fault! if i was never born none of this would be happening!" charis cried.

"what the hell are you talking about?"

"it wasn't kalkara that was killed."

"who was it that was killed then?"

charis was heartbroken. she knew just about what was going on. she gulped the tears down. "you know about the daimonas agkelos, right?" she asked. "yes." zinc replied.

"you know how western civilization with monsters being brought back to life and everything, right?"

"yes."

"well, you have also heard that salan had a son, correct?"

"no..."

"when salan was married before, he had a son named daimon, who eventually was turned into the daimonas agkelos thanks to the anger of the gods. and - daimon was kalkara. he fought salan and salan killed his own son."

"then wheres kalkara?"

sofia answered. "right here." kalkara turned back to normal and charis transformed into sofia. "then wheres charis?" zinc asked kery. kery shrugged in disappointment. "THE WRETCHED b***h! I'LL FIND HER IF IT'S THE LAST THING I DO!!!!!!!!" salan yelled as he finally disappeared. sofia, being a spirit, wasnt dead, so she used some of her spiritual powers to locate charis' soul. "she's alive," sofia said, "and very close. but..." "but what?" zinc asked. "she's hiding from us using a shadowy technique. i can't even find her and she inherited that move from me! let me use my powers..." sofia got her finger out and pointed in different directions. then she pointed at zinc. "impossible... how can she - " sofia was interrupted by charis morphing behind zinc. "woah!" zinc yelled, "how did you - "

charis looked angry. "i can't believe that you had it and i looked for all these years."

"what? charis what are you - okay! WHATS GOING ON?"

charis stole something from zinc's pocket. it was a set of beautiful reedpipes that was full of vines and engravings of satyrs, nymphs and animals. "this belonged to my father! how could you have gotten them? did salan - oh no he didn't! zinc, did salan by any chance kill your mother?" "yes..." he answered.

"then he lied."

"what?"

"zinc, your mother isn't dead, when sofia told you that your mother was dead, she WAS dead at the time, but she was revived by albin's spirit. but salan had her hostage, so he said that your mother was dead. don't blame sofia, she thought your mother was dead at the time she saw salan. after that, i freed your mother and i explained everything to her. and as you were going on about wanting to kill salan, he used darkness to put my fathers pipes in your pocket so i would blame you for stealing them...but...he was foolish. and now you are broken down and torn apart in confusion and that would be the perfect time for kronos to strike. he used confusion to get us all, and he kind of suceeded, but he didn't. now all we need is some rest. forget about all of this. salan used confusion to tear us apart and now look at us. daimon is dead. everyone, go to sleep. of course, kery doesn't have to since he's a god and sofia's a spirit. so we have protection. good night everyone." charis explained.

salan was angered. charis was just as clever as her mother. she found out everything so quicly and now he was ruined. 'i guess i am a fool. oh what am i saying? i need to be patient and wait for the right time to strike!' he thought 'then sofia will be mine and kronos will finally see my usefulness! mwahahahahaahahaahahaahaha!!!!!'

sorry!!! crying im the kind of person that writes long stories!!!! my longest story is almost 100 pages long!!!!!!! burning_eyes i cant write short things unless theyre poems! I CAN ONLY WRITE LONG THINGS!!!! sweatdrop

okay...the thing is that salan tried to kill zincs mom because of his fatal flaw and when she was killed, sofia thought that she was really dead, but she was brought back to life by albin's spirit and salan decided to use her as a hostage. then after that, kalkara told zinc in the form of sofia and sofia was charis at that time because charis knew salan would do something, then daimon was kalkara so daimon tried to kill salan, but daimon was killed and zinc got mad. then sofia as charis told zinc that kalkara was sofia and sofia was charis and daimon was kalkara. then charis comes along and she knows what was going on. salan tried to confuse them so they could all hate eachother and zinc would join kronos and charis could kill herself and sofia would be faithful to salan but since charis found out his plan, salan's plan was ruined...get it NOW?

"it's okay, zinc," charis calmed him down, "once dionysus and aphrodite argued about who i loved more, dionysus or some handsome satyr. i like dionysus but i hated the handsome satyr, but enough of my memories. now would be the perfect time for zinc to train!" charis got her backpack and pulled out a celestial bronze sword and handed it to zinc. "zinc, meet your sword. sword, meet your zinc." charis explained as zinc analyzed his sword, "its called Thalassa, greek for sea." zinc swung the sword towards charis and she ducked without any surprise. "you need to train. and fast." charis got into a fighting stance. zinc backed away. 'i'm not gonna fight you." he said. charis looked stern and calm. "you'd better!" she yelled, "to be good at fighting, you must be willing to fight anyone except the gods, unless needed." charis attacked and zinc countered with his sword. she turned invisible and zinc kept moving around. suddenly, charis struck his back. zinc was aghast. he was careful, but wherever he was off guard, charis would get him there. soon, zinc surrendered. he was tired and bruised. charis reappeared. 'that's good,' she said, "you know when to stop fighting. most people would keep fighting and they'd die. but you know better zinc. i like that! now i can teach you how to use your powers. just go by that pond and rest there for tonight."
