Amaroq dropped behind for a while as they walked, presumably to allow her to show him the way. In reality, it was also so he could surreptitiously look Naina over without being noticed. She was easy on the eye, and he had the leisure to now notice her cloven hooves. Did she have unicorn blood? He filed that question away in his mind for later as they came upon the clearing. "It definitely does look like we're here, wherever we are," he quipped as he moved beneath a low-hanging branch, rearing up to grasp it firmly in his teeth and come back down, releasing it just before it snapped or tore teeth out. The branch, released from the tension, shook violently up and down, jostling loose several apples.

She had led him straight to the orchard, and smiled as he dropped a couple of the apples to the ground. Now she wouldnt have to reach all teh way up there.. Assuming he was the sharing type.
"Yes, yes we are here. And the apples, are better here than anywhere else." She said, shaking her black curls back from her face.
The heat was abating, and she was much happier lately.
She indeed had unicorn blood through her veins, and she had met her mother only days before. It was nice, because she finally had a peace of mind about her life.

Looking back, Amaroq noticed that Naina didn't seem to be reaching for any of the apples. Tilting his head quizzically, he frowned a little. "Well, what are you waiting for? I got them down for you, after all. If I just wanted one for myself, I'd have done it and have it half eaten by now." He stuck his tongue out before taking a nibble off of one apple, making sure the rest were within Naina's reach.

Naina smiled, raising an eyebrow and giggling.
"Im sorry! I.. I was thinking!"
She lowerd her head and grabbed an apple between her teeth, biting it in half, to engulf the rest of it.
"I appreciate you doing that. Its very kind of you."

Amaroq laughed, grinning. "It's okay, I just didn't want it to go to waste. My energy -is- valuable, you know." He winked at her as he finished off his apple. He ate in small, neat bites, careful not to get too much juice on his coat. The stuff was abominably difficult to wipe off, which would mean another trip back to the river. In this heat, he was loath to do that until it was neccessary.

She smiled, and then realized, she didnt know if the stallion had family.. Like siblings. She knew she did.. But did he?
"So, what of your family. Do you guys get along well?"
She asked, taking another bite, and sitting herself under the shade of the apple tree. Another good thing about eating under a tree.

"Well enough." Amaroq shrugged carelessly and flipped his forelock over one eye. "Mother's strict, brother's rowdy, sister's prissy, father's cool. Typical everyday family, if you ask me...well, if your typical family runs a herd." Light blue eyes surveyed the creamy blue and tan mare. "What about you? You don't look to be of the usual stock, what's your story?"

"Uh, well.. " She really hadnt grown with a family, and only recently had seen her mother, which was so exceptional.
"I dont really have a family. I have a father whose bitter, a mother who is kind, but I really never knew her, a brother whose even more bitter, and a sister whom I like to talk to."
She smiled, flicking her tail, trying to make it sound as if she was happy with her lot in life.

Amaroq frowned as he looked at her. "Bitter...about your mother? But it's not right to take it out on you. At least the females are nice, I guess." He nipped at one of her stray braids, tugging a little. "Guess it's up to me to make it up to you for what other guys have done to you."

She nodded. "My father, is bitter about my mother.. My brother is bitter about my father.. Its a whole big triangle of a mess, and it angers me.."
She said, thinking about a father who hardly talked to her, and a brother whom had insulted her so badly upon her apologizing for their first meeting as foals.
"I guess it is." She said smiling, and nuzzling his cheek.

"Damn relatives." His tone belied his harsh words, and his touch was gentle. "We won't end up that way. We will be sure before anything happens."

She smiled, leaning into the gentle touch of the stallion. She closed her eyes, and sighed, enjoying the feel of him at her side.
"Yes. Before we hurt little innocent ones. We need to be sure.'
She smiled.
But was she even ready for babies? She didnt think so, but one day...
