-staring at City of Secrets-
-staring at another old roleplay-
-considering merging them into one new roleplay-
So we have a city, humans, supernatural creatures, and hunters.....
And I have a grim reaper, his demon-goat familiar, his half-ghost daughter, and an insane angel in my folder of "Characters That Need Love".

From what you just mentioned and skimming City of Secrets, I'd suggest reading just about anything from Whit Wolf, makers of Vampire: the Masquerade. Their style would seem to fit your themes quite well. Wikipedia and some of their free sampler material should be enough to spark some ideas.

I recall a project to try and bring Vampire: The Masquerade here. That would be fun. Mage: The Ascention would be nice too . . . .
