=O You COULD justify it by making it the Summer event, that BECAUSE we didn't beat the event here, it triggers a bigger event next time that we need to fix it for real
But, ouch >_>;;;
Sorry to hear that, at least if nothing else it happened at the end of the event rather than the start?
The summer is always exams, AKA the Tournament. We don't have many traditions, I don't intend to mess with the ones we do! Besides we finally got the hang of these thing, actually managing to finish them in a timely manner.
And yes it is a good thing. It's also a good thing that I've done a decent enough job in the past that they're unlikely to fire me over this...actually considering someone was singing my and a co-workers praises last week I know my employment is secure...though I think I may have just lost that raise I wanted...also plotting to divert the topic if it ever comes up again. <.<
This is almost as bad as the time I fell asleep last year. >.>

Anyway not to explain what would have happened and the history behind it. The location that the normal route would have traced back to was in fact an old Academy Research Facility built underground, the owner of which was one
Dr. Adrian Rosevelt. As I tried to make clear (and would have made clearer with Savage Entei) Adrian was an avid supporter of "Fight Fire
with Fire" attempting to perfect a way of making use of the Savage Virus in the form of Dark Pokemon (inspired by the Dark Pokemon Cards series.). The Rotom was part of those experiments. Finding it's way onto the net the Rotom then attached it to an illegal mod downloaded by our Hacker, really just an in-game cheat that didn't know what he was dealing with. From their the Rotom found it's way back to the Academy's main data-base.
This would all ultimately lead to the declaration that this Rotom was part of the academy's 'dark past' coming back to haunt them. After his defeat the Rotom was going to take what was left of his power and pull himself out of the mainframe so he couldn't be deleted as mere data. From there he was going to fly through the hole and into that other room; this was what would initiate the final battle.
Now who were we to battle exactly?
Genesect...or rather it's dormant body. Invading the Genesect in the form of raw electricity the Rotom was going to take over the Genesect and make a break for it. This was going to lead to a "chase battle"...in short you were all going to have to run after it while also trying to fight it. During this part the Genesect wouldn't be fighting back. As you guys fought it you'd be taking out each of it's body parts (which all had their own HP). Depending on which parts you took out first would alter the mechanics of the battle.
For example if you took out it's legs first then it was going to switch to the offensive since it could no longer run. Take out the head first would likely defeat it right there and then, if not bring it close. To complete eliminate it's ability to attack you'd have needed to take out both arms and the torso, though for each missing of these limbs he'd do 1/3 less damage.
Just like with the Regigigas battle though there'd be a time/turn limit. If time ran out he'd charge up and go on the offensive regardless.
As it really would be cruel, I won't mention what the prizes would have been. Lunar and Red have probably already looked in the mod section and seen as I posted them there to see what they thought of the idea. Though there was some stuff I hadn't 100% figured out myself and was still fiddling with.
