"Good point...I should just stop thinking for the rest of the night while I'm at it..." She answers back and takes a huge swig of the rum.
Something tells me I might regret this later......eh.... She thought while she was drinking. She looks back at Cross. "Soo.....what made you turn nice tonight? You've been giving me some really good advice lately...." She asks him, a hint of suspicion in her eyes, but it was more curiosity than anything else. She was curious by nature, it something that stuck to her ever since she was a kid.
"I didn't think it prudent to be my usual self tonight. You didn't seem to need that kind of attitude from me." He smiled back at her charmingly. He really could be a gentleman when he wanted to. In fact, he often was when he was alone with a woman. The rest was an act, just to piss people off. He liked seeing their reactions. But he knew how to really treat a woman right when he was alone with her.
Not prudent...yeah, because she's having an inner conflict over your baka boyfriend. She doesn't need anymore s**t. She should let a real gentleman show you a good time...
"You're something else Cross, I can honestly say I haven't met someone like you......" She comments, smile and blush still intact and she takes another swig, only this time the bottle was empty. She shook it and just placed it on the couch.
"Eh..I don't suppose you got anymore rum left..do ya?" She asks him.
"Well, I'm the one and only General Cross Marian, lovely." He smiled charmingly as he pulled out another bottle of rum and handed it to her,"You can do the honors of opening it."
Then he noticed her blush and smirked even more to himself. He knew he had caught her attention, and gotten her thinking seriously about him. Though, he continued to tell himself it was just another attempt to get laid. Just the "usual".
Nothing more...of course not! He frowned a bit.
"Not going to lie, I have no idea on how to open these things...unless I break the whole bottle..and that'll be a flipping waste." She says, trying to hold back a laugh while also feeling like a complete idiot. ((dude..I'm like...not thinking at all today...I feel bad... gonk I can't think of what else to put in.....*head/pillow* >_< ))
"It's just a screw cap," He chuckled as he poured her a glass.

((Cross seems to be finding himself attached to Chloe for some reason, though. LOL. Poor thing. But I do think Cross would be lonely and could be prone to attach to someone. And somehow, she reminds him of Anita and her mother. And you know how that was. Unless you're way way not caught up with the series.)) i read he manga as it comes out in paperback...so i'm only on 10...we haven't actually gotten to cross yet...or the arch even, but i read 10 tomorrow so i'll find out more....nee said its where the twins get the chicken... ((Why don't you read them on onemanga.com?)) no reason in particular...i just feel like if i read them as books i buy at least the author get monetary credit for his/her actions and hard work
You can read them online, then buy the book, That's what I do. Because sometimes it's better translated by professionals. Lol and it's nice to have the actual copy in your hand.
