I finally found a driver for my tablet that works with Vista. Of course it wouldn't happen until I was looking into getting a new tablet...

for future reference, Genius tablets aren't necessarily worth the effort it'll take to get them to work properly (i.e. like a damn TABLET instead of a stick-mouse)

Scratch all that, this morning the driver made my computer bluescreen and left me back where I'd started: with a stick-mouse.

In spite of that, I managed to finish this:

Hi, I'm new to avitar editing and I'd like to set up a shop soon. Here are two samples of my edits.

What do you think? Would anyone buy these or are they too simple?

I plan on making different outfits and adding some accessories very soon.

These are just two quick edits.

My Halloween edit, based off what I will probably wear this year (the hat and stockings I don't actually own, though I wish I did.) The satiny shirt was quite challenging to edit.

Izumi Hanae: Wow, have you ever been busy. Your edits just get better and better.

Few critiques:

On the Ribbon one, the ribbon looks rather thick in some places, particularly around the long, draping wide pieces. I'm picturing ribbon as being quite flat where as in the folds where you can see the edges straight on, they look kind of plush. I'd just make sure you have an actual line defining the edge of the ribbon all the way around.

The one in the kimono type robes seems a little flat - some shading around the sides of the skirt would help round it out a bit and make it look more like it wraps around her body.

Wow, the mermaid tail just blows me away - I'd love to see an edit with the full tail visible, cause you really outdid yourself on that piece.

I really like Haruka's dress - you did a lovely job on the draping. Same with Chibiusa's dress. I wish I was seeing a little more contrast overall on Chibiusa though - some deeper shadows and some higher highlights, especially on the hair, would give it a lot more depth. The buns also seem to be shaded in a slightly different style than the rest of her hair - much sharper.

Lucca: Awesome as always. The armour is just amazingly smooth and glossy - like high shine plastic or enamel. Love the colours and how sharp everything is.

Burn, I love the shading on the uniform, it looks spot on. The only thing that bugs me is the helmet. The shading on the front looks a bit off. Perhaps if you had the shine come all the way down to the brow, it would look more rounded, or at the very least brighten the shadow on the brow just a smidge. The way you have it now, it looks as though the helmet blunts just above the brow and comes in flat or curves inward slightly. Aside from that, damn good job.

For the Fable 2 edit, I realise that some parts could do with a little more contrast, or at the very least some darkness, but I was attempting to replicate the colors of the figure as best I could. Maybe I'll go back and play with the lights and the darks in the future.
