One of the strays stopped by him on his way back to the ship, leaving a note that most had left. well the only place all of them would go was to Lycear's home. the elves to get personal items, and the others because the Tower was obviously unoccupied, not to mention the dragoness had stored maps there.

So turning on his boot heel, and going to Lycear's home, and dropping off the trunk by the necromancer.

"all the fleshy parts. the boyscout is getting the other stuff."

then walking around, taking a look at potential valuables...before finding the child thing and Lycear.

"A moment, if you please...little Lady...mind seeing if you can undo whatever it was that our little boy tried to do?"

after all, a pirate knew very well the glimmer of silver powder in brown and white sand. especially when that little glimmer sometimes was all the sign of potential loot that you could see.

they both played each other. Hunter knew the boy was up to something, when he went all smiles and happiness after his obvious dislike on the ship. while hunter could claim his dagger thing was harmless antagonizing..after all, he didn't actually touch him with it...he had expected something coming in retaliation. which is why he didn't close his eyes when he noticed something silver in the dust and sand.

"In other words, they'll be fine and I'm worrying too much. Alright." She gathered up her own things and gave a pet to CHylithair then glanced around the room. "So much for staying in one place, hmm? We haven't found a stable spot since we go here...three days ago? Or was it four?"

She took the maps from him and spread one out on the desk, scanning it over. "These are very well done." A nod perusing the terrain. "I expected nothing less." She pinpointed a spot on the map off to the far reaches and was quiet for a moment. "You found some pieces over here? That's a long way for the gift to travel without the aid of another's hands." Studying the map closely, she cast a small spell to allow her to see it in a different light, though her concentration was broken instantly when Hunter began making demands.

"Do you always enter a room of your Lord uninvited? I should think so since you clearly have no respect for anything." A cross of her arms and she shook her head. "He is your comrade, your man in arms and you will get along with him. If something was done to you by him, then you will go to him and request he undo it. Do not bring such petty things to me. We have a word for such inane requests. You are a screamer, Hunter. I do not deal with screamers." Thus turning back to Lycear. "All is ready then. Your son was gathering a list for me as well. Interviews of the guards will need to be taken care of very soon."

Kronos cocked an eyebrow, "dammit, he noticed the powder. Might as well get out of there." he said, with a snap of his fingers, removing all trace that he ever been in there. "I guess that's your point Pirate, I'll give this one." he smiled at he threw a thrashing bag over his shoulder

The more he heard, the more he frowned, jaw tightening and the muscles in his back also as they did when he felt stress. There had been another strange incident, and he hadn't been present to help control it. That was not good. "Tell my father I have returned if he still needs me." But right now, he needed a good look of this for himself. Glancing back towards Jae as he took to the air, he gave her the look that said she could do whatever she wanted, follow him or otherwise. Then clutching the book tighter in his arms, he soared towards the center of the city and the whirlpool. It was big... Far too big to have been anything natural.

Hunter narrowed his eyes lightly.

"No one is my lord. and unlike your city people, I don't make friends. You paired us up, and it's only by the grace of the sand that he isn't dead yet."

Before brandishing his cutlass.

"I don't scream. if you'd like me to show you what screaming really is, I'd be happy to when the opportunity presents itself."

keeping his sword brandish he left teh building, casually going back to his ship and slapping the flat of the blade against his first mate's chest.

"Tomorrow, noon. we're setting sail..anyone not with us is left here. and I don't really give a damn who it is at this point."

and into his cabin, slamming the door and getting out his maps and rum, taking off his necklace and opening the compass and marking a few courses on the maps...then throwing the pencil down.

"How dare that little sprout treat me like that. I'm captain of this vessel, and I'll be damned if she only give me the respect of a shoeshiner playing ferry!"

"I've lost track." Making thier way back outside, crossing paths with Hunter who was heading to the tower for whatever reason. Quick look through Chylithair's eyes. A look at the chest with a frown. "No way in hell am I carrying it." Thus pulling out a bone chip, flicking it on the ground and a moment later a full skeleton formed, picking up the chest and duely following the girls and probably freaking a lot of people out as they headed back to the ship. "I'm sure there's something in this for us. If anything we get some terror to cause from it."

"Just one that far out and that was by mere chance really. Whomever took it, may have spread them out of purpose...that is what I fear." Looking up at the intrusion then of the pirate whom was already taking his liberties...seemed the Laerethe was on top of that quick. A shake of his head at Hunter. "Still at it are you both? Remember, my city and I dont' take kindly to anyone breaking the rules." Did not need this right now. Then a second distruption as another human came in, speaking of his son. Lycear let his look go back to Eilynne. "My son is back, do you wish to see him?" Another look to Hunter though and he sighed and shook his head...why were things falling apart.

Oh no, he wasn't happy about what he was being told at all...but all she was given was a look back and then was off. For a moment she stayed where she was and then decided to take off after him for the time being...maybe she could try to make things up if he was indeed mad at her. A look at the whirl pool though. "Not good..." A look to Kaz, opening her mouth to say something before closing it and deciding against her words. "Um...I'll, I'll take the book for you if you need to go...do things..." Oh the building guilt that rose with his obvious ire of the situation.

She glanced down at the chest too and then up to Hunter. "Wow that was efficient. Nice job." She laughed as Savvy used a skeleton and then walked on. "As long as you get to cause terror you're a happy woman so I'm alright with that. I just don't want to cause a whole lot of trouble." She heard a bark and turned around laughign as Sundance ran up. "Hey girl, I don't think you should come with me though. Savvy's right, you may get hurt. You can follow to the docks if you want." Then blinking for a moment as she pulled out a piece of meat and threw it to the dog. "Are we staying on the ship then? You said it probably wouldn't leave for another two days."

Eilynne could have easily disarmed him but chose not to, merely standing there and eyeing the blade her voice going dangerously soft. "Cocky human threatening one of my ilk. Be very careful Pirate, my patience extends only so far." She watched him turn and stalk out then shook her head. "He is brash and hotheaded, we will need to watch him very closely." Turning back she nodded, "Your young son and I have a few things to finish before we can leave, but I am willing to let him have his time. He needs to understand what is going on before he can aid in stopping it."

"Daddy always said I had a unique flare for causing terror in subtle ways. It mad mama just roll her eyes." A slight chuckle at the thought, she didn't laugh much. Keeping pace to the docks and back to the ship as well, amused by the sounds of those who were startled by her personal skeletal bell boy that was with them. "Might as well, we have to stake out our territory and show them what's who's around here. I want my personal space and I expect all to stay out of it."

"I'm sure he'll be seeking me or expecting me to seek him myself what with this whirl pool going on, I do believe that he was not in the city when it occured and he takes the well being of this city very very seriously." Almost too seriously, but Kaz had his way about him. Shaking his head and then looking to her again. "Anything else you may need, please tell me and it is at your disposal." Before looking to a guard that was in the room, scribbling down a number on a piece of paper that made the elf's eyes widen. "No, I haven't lost my mind. Gather the funds and have them delivered to Captain Deacon of the Chimera."

It took Caden quite awhile to get everyone moved, even with the guards he had on hand convincing people to let others come into thier homes to stay without much as a warning made some people really upset, still he did his best to do his job. So when he was done Caden did the next thing that came to him, report in about what happened so off he went to find Lord Lycear, he couldn't find the Commander at the moment.

It didn't take him long enough to track down Lycear, with the help of some people who spotted him finding the dragon was easy. So he quietly waited until he was allowed in then handed a list to him. "A list of all those that had to be relocated, there are still some lists being complied but that's what I have so far...though I must say we did have a bit of trouble sir. Overall three fights broke out over the sudden relocation of the people, they were settled though without much force." Oh sometimes Caden had to wonder why he chose this job even though almost everyone in the family did it, there were the good times of course but the bad times always reared thier ugly heads, it would be nice to take a break.

She laughed, "Personal bubble, hmm? You always were like that, pushing everyone out of your own three feet of space. Only the special ones got in." She reentered the ship and glanced around, noting each and every pirate on board just in case something came up and she needed to identify one later. It was rather exciting to be on a pirate ship and she was just trying to keep her excitement from bowling anyone over. For the first time in her life she was going to have an adventure. She headed for the railing and leaned on it a moment, gazing out over the wide expanse and letting the sun beat down on her. "Isn't it beautiful Savvy? Light blue water and no worries of something large and gruesome eating you."

They needed to figure out their sleeping space so she turned back away and motioned for Savryn to follow, heading down below the deck. "The crew sleep in here I think." Coming to a wide room with lots of hammocks and various bedding materials. "We don't want to be in here with them." Another cabin yielded enough materials that she assumed was Hunter's and she giggled. "This is the Captain's. I doubt he'd be pleased if we took his room. We should do it anyway."

"I will have my discussions with him, Lord Lycear. He is a good, strong dragon and needs his time right now. He is feeling incapacitated and angry with himself at the moment..." A shake of her head. "If you'll excuse me, I think I might just go see him." Then turning back for a moment. "Could you possibly assist me with something? I have a box that needs to be moved to the Chimera as well. It is rather small, only big enough for me and very fragile. I would take it myself but I need to see your son and I'm just not sure if I'll have enough time. Do you think you could take that over for me? It's sitting on the bedside table in the first drawer."

Nodding to Lycear, she left the Tower and transformed into an eagle, taking flight and then flapping her wings at Kaz. Land, young dragon. We have much to discuss. She waited for him to do as he was told and then settled down on his shoulder. Tell me what you feel, young Kaznec.

"Yeah well, I like breathing my own air and such, not someone else's breath." Making a face at that just because, and then giving a nod. Yup, only family was allowed into that three feet of space, and yes Inthara's did count. Definately like her father in some respects. Though as Shyrae went about exclaiming about the beauty of the scenery, she didn't even tilt her head in that direction. "I suppose it would be if I could see it."

Savryn had grown used people speaking to her as if she could see, and in fact that's the way she preferred it. It was the way her family spoke to her and how she hoped anyone else she met did. Never did she speak of being mostly blind to anyone and mostly strived to not let them find out. But down below with them, scoping out a place to stay. "I'd rather not sleep in a place that smells of him." Wrinkling her nose and continuing on till they found a suitble cabin. "Here works."

He nodded at her words and then gave a sigh. What was he to do with the son of his sometimes? Though an inquisitive look as she asked a favor of him. "That will be no hardship for me, M'lady." Watching her go before Caden was allowed in and Lycear took the list from the boy. Though a frown at the informationin it's entirety. "Are you all not capable of relocating others without violence ensuing. We're supposed to work together...and you all should be stepping in at the first raised voices." He was a tad less leinent when there were stressful things occuring in the city. A shake of his head and he pocketed the list and then motioned Caden to follow. "Come with me."

Thusly heading from the tower and over to his own residence, Caden in tow. "The ranks need to be straightened a bit...too much is going on and your commander will soon be leaving on an important mission. Do tell me...how do you think the Guard will fair?" Into the place and fetching the chest that was requested by the Laerethe before leaving once more and heading to the ship, passing another look to Caden. "Well, Raynes?"

For a long time, he simply hovered about the lake, surveying the evacuation activities. But his eyes constantly drifted back to the whirlpool, the hypnotic movement of water mirroring his disbelief. Looking over for a moment as Jae moved up next to him, he nodded soberly and then handed it to her. He did not want to risk damage to the old text before the scholars even had a chance to look over it. "Thank you. My house or the academy is fine."

When the soft commanding voice spoke into his head, he looked around in surprise until he spotted the eagle, beating its wings by him. Folding his own, he did as was told and landed on the roof of a building looking down upon the lake. The Laerethe really were amazing creatures, able to change form at will and convey speech in thoughts. "Disbelief and... uncertainty, M'lady." He turned his head slightly to look at her. "The disasters are happening more often now and hitting closer to home every time. I fear for the city and though I do not doubt your ability to stop them, I have qualms about my own."

She took the text with a nod, before watching in a bit of confusion as an eagle happened upon the air around him, and then descended as he did, plopping on his shoulder. Was Kaznec talking to it? Curious to ask, but weary to get close to him at this moment. A dip in a wing to change direction and she took the text to his house, setting it in his room. She knew the place well enough. Soon though she was back out, watching the going ons, looking over to the Chimera as well. Hm, why was the captain still in port?
PostPosted: Tue May 22, 2007 3:02 pm

Hm, Savvy was being her normal self, now wasn't she? Shyrae followed along and rolled her eyes. "Savvy, you can see it if you want too and you know you can. I'd let you use my eyes at anytime, you know that." But it was easier to merely mention the offer and let Savryn decide for herself. One had to be highly careful when it came to dealing with certain members of the D'vinn family, mostly Malik and Savryn. They were far too much alike for their own goods.

She scanned over his room and noted the bed. "Why do you think he has that big of a bed? It's just him after all and I don't think he's that tall." She tilted her head and brushed her hand over the coverlet then giggled, "Do you think maybe he's compensating for something?" Before turning and following once again. Moving into the other room was easy enough since they had little that they had brought with them and she knew the skeleton was still carrying the chest. Well used to such things occurring, she stepped around the skeleton and began arranging things the way she liked them. "This will do quite nicely. It's a very nice ship really." Sitting on the bed and allowing Savvy to figure out her way around.

She pecked at him lightly and squawked before settling a little more and gazing out over the whirlpool as well. Disasters will consistently happen, Kaznec. It is the way of the threads and the tapestry. Much like death and destruction, nature has her own way of making herself known. You must be equipped to deal with such things in a well-centered, attentive way. She paused for a moment and flew around him in a circle before settling back on his other shoulder.

We will not always be around and you must be prepared to deal with this without my wisdom or guidance or my ability to halt and take care of such things. Why do you doubt yourself so, Kaznec? Are you afraid of failing in such a grandiose task or making many little mistakes and failing all together?

Courses duely plotted, and prepared. places seen that the sands have uncovered more of, which means places inaccessable might be, and places not throughly search out for this particular treasure. he was still annoyed with the girl, and Kronos. but this was his ship...they'd just have to get that through their thick skulls.

about half a bottle of rum was gone now, and he was sitting at hsi desk with his maps spread across it lightly rubbing his temples. there had better be some very nice loot coming his way for all this trouble.
