Sirius blinked a few times as Kathryn drank some water before shaking his head.

"You're weird...all of you." He watched Remus test his footing and nodded.

"Well, if you're sure Moony, we might as well go..." he glanced at Liz and sighed looking back at the other two.

"I'll grab Bird Brains then, yeah?"

Rolling her eyes, something which she had been doing a lot lately, and eyed Sirius. She opened her mouth to retort but realised it was like talking toa brick wall and promptly shut it.

"I'll grab Bird Brains then, yeah?" Sirius said. Kathryn shrugged indifferently and scratched her nose.

"Beside the fact that you guys keep getting hurt, this scavenger hunt has been boring... The odds are against us, I mean come on... A Threstral? Acromantula Web, Unicorn hair?" Kathryn mumbled grumpily and shuffled onwards on the trail.

"She's right," Remus said walking slowly after her. "I'm not very pleased with the prospect of going near giant spiders or trying to find a Unicorn."

He contemplated this for a moment, staring up at the canopy of leaves above them. "If Liz can force Loki awake, he might be able to get us the hair, I mean, a bird is libel to be able to get near a Unicorn before a human or a werewolf could. As for Acromantula web..." he shrugged, then regretted that with a hiss of pain. "Oww...anyways...I'm sure they would find us a delicious supper."

Sirius huffed watching the other two walk away. He pointed his wand at Liz so she could hover along after them.

"Honestly, they won't hurt us! I mean look at the centaurs! And they were about to kill us!" he retorted.

"Where's your sense of adventure!" he cried raising his hands up wildly into the air, thus crashing Liz into a low branch. He cringed and lowered her under the branch.

"I have the feeling I'll be killed for that later..." he muttered continuing on and keeping the height at which his wand was in check.

"Where's your sense of adventure!" Sirius cried, flailing his arms wildly. Kathryn clicked her tongue and eyed him in a sinister way.

"I think it died just about the time I was bitten by a werewolf" She grumbled darkly. Which was true, her mates had urged her to go to the woods with them and sure enough, she let them steer her away deep into the depths of the place. It was then that golden eyes leered out from a nearby bush and Kathryn's sense of recklessness and carefree attitude had died, just as her hopes did aswell.

Eyeing Liz she gave a weak smile and she hit the lower canopy of leaves.

Harry knew he had many flaws...but he didn't think he'd actually fall asleep on the Room of Requirement. He woke with a start, looking blearily at the ceiling for a moment, before he realized that they had a task to do, something about being down at the Forbidden Forest.

Grumbling and trying in vain to get the wrinkles from his robes, he picked up his wand and tucked it into the waistband of his jeans as he strode from the room. He stopped for a moment, checking his pockets. He sighed with relief as he pulled the Marauder's Map out.

"I solemnly swear that I'm up to no good," he muttered quietly, watching as the ink spread across the parchment revealing that only the ghosts were wandering around the halls now. Everyone else was apparently down at the forest.

He could see the dot labelled Albus Dumbledore in his office. Figured Albus would let him sleep in, he grumbled to himself, green eyes grazing the map and following a few dots at the edge of the forest labelled Draco Malfoy. It appeared to be quite stationary, but knowing Malfoy, he'd be in trouble rather quickly...the great crying ferret, he thought with a scowl.

He found Severus Snape wandering nearby, probably looking for one of the items. Dumbledore had said it was a scavenger hunt. Staring at the other dots moving about the forest he could see groups split into pairs and threes. Hermione and Ron were together and Kathryn (wasn't she that pale looking Gryffindor that seemed to have a fondness for chocolate that reminded him of Lupin) was actually walking with Lupin followed by Sirius Black and Liz Shanim...

Harry did a double take, staring hard as the dots meandered off the parchment into the unknown. Sirius Black. Sirius Black was supposed to be dead. But the map never lied.

"Mischief managed," Harry said quickly, folding the map and shoving it back into his pocket along with his wand. "The map doesn't lie," he said firmly. "But, Sirius is dead, you saw it. He's been dead for two years."

He walked blindly outside, talking quietly to himself and trying to convince himself that he had been wanting to see that...Remus and Kathryn and the other person were together...Sirius was...dead.

He broke into a run toward the forest, nearly tripping as he was plunged into darkness. A moment later, he skidded to a halt before Draco Malfoy. Panting heavily, he glared at Malfoy.

"What are you doing here?" he demanded. Not that Malfoy didn't have any right to be here, but Harry was trying to run and Malfoy was in his way being all sitting against the tree and looking as arrogant as ever.

(I think I've managed to keep him in character)

(OOC) OMG! I slightly died back there, I appologize. Damn webcomic takes up far to much time. >< Damnit all!

(IC)
The feeling was all to familiar as her gaze wafted up through the passing tree limbs and leaves above her head. She could sense she was moving, and a strange throbbing pain from her head was bugging the hell out of her, but...

Her gaze slowly looked down to see her three companions were moving along through the forest. Kathryn out in front followed by a limping Remus, and Sirius had her at wand point, hovering along after them.

Her eyes seemed to have glazed over as she slowly bent down to put her face above six inches away from Sirius's, and allowed her hand to lightly rest on his shoulder, almost with a ghostly feel to it.

"Would you mind... letting me down, now." She said, her voice somewhat transparent, almost there but at the same time distant.

Meanwhile, back at the edge of the forest, a rather ruffled and disgruntled raven shook out it's feathers and hopped out of the knot it had been resting in. Not to happy with being placed in a damp, bug ridden tree, it flew out and rose above the trees. With a loud, deathly caw into the air, it allowed it's presence known through the forest. He was hungry and wanted to hunt. Be it already dead, or alive.

A hand landed on his shoulder and Sirius froze as the voice whispered in his ear.

"SWEET MERLIN OF DEMENTORS!" he screamed loud enough for the whole forest to hear, jumping back whipping his wand around--unconciously canceling his spell on Liz in fear of whatever had grabbed him. Almost seconds later another loud cry filled the forest--one of a hungry raven, and the handful of birds brave enough to live in the Forbidden Forest decided they had quite enough noise for one day thank you very much, and flew off.

Sirius stumbled and fell back on to the forest floor, his wand raised looking for a target as he breathed heavily, fear coursing through his veins. He saw Liz and it registered that it was her asking to be let down. He shivered and pulled his knees to his chest, trying to get his shaking in control as he stared blankly into the depths of the forest trying to ward of images of icy cold Dementors from Azkaban and the--he shivered agian not wanting to think of them from the realm of the Dead--or wherever the veil lead to.

Remus jumped, almost physically when he heard Sirius yell. Turning back to see what was the matter he was met with Sirius curled fitfully on the forest floor, looking for all the world like a dog that had been beaten. Walking carefully toward him, he knelt down and placed a warm hand on Sirius' shoulder.

"Pads, are you all right?" he asked, looking worriedly at Sirius. "You're shaking."

(Hmmm...not sure where to go with this...oh well...and Lupin...I know I forgot Harry's glasses...bite me.)

Harry looked up sharply from his glaring at Malfoy as someone or something gave a loud yell. A flock of birds flew through the air above his head. He watched them for a moment and then realized with a start that he didn't have his glasses. 'Well, ********,' he thought looking back at Malfoy.

"Nevermind," he grumbled, striding away toward where the yell had come from. Someone might be in trouble. He stepped up his paces when he heard voices. Obviously someone was nearby.

Parting a hedge, he stepped out onto a narrow path to find Kathryn, looking especially gaunt, standing before him. "Oh, hello," he said, squinting at the ginger haired fifth year. "What's happened?" he asked looking down the path toward three figures.

Squinting, Harry could make out the ragged robes of Professor Lupin and someone in blue. Lupin was kneeling beside someone in robes that Harry couldn't see. Pinching the bridge of his nose, he gave up. Straining his eyes was only giving him a headache.

(There, Lupin, now off I go so Chip can be lame and do something homework related.)

Sirius whimpered but nodded his head.

"I'll be fine..." he whispered--obviously lying as he tried to stand, but didn't succede. He clutched the warm hand on his shoulder and let out a sigh of relief. He glanced at Remus' shoulder and couldn't deny the feeling of happiness that his robes were otherwise occupied in keeping the werewolf together. It made it easier for him to feel warmth...to feel life. He sighed and shivered.

"Just...don't like...when she..." Sirius shook his head and stopped talking.

"It's nothing..."

Liz landed lightly on the ground, slightly unawares to the fact that she had just been floating above the ground. She silently walked about a foot past the startled man on the ground and then turned her head only just enough to see past her navy bangs to the two.

"Shots of expresso in the morning can turn into an exciting day." She said in monotone as she returned to starring blankly before her. Her arm stretched out to her right and the familiar black bird landed on it with a caw.

"Loki has woken up. Shall I send him off as a scout for..." she paused in her sentence as she tried to remember what exactly they had been doing in the forest in the first place. "Does, anyone know why we're in this forest?" Her hand then went to her forehead once more. "And why does my head hurt? I have a strange feeling to burn things as well." She said taking her hand away from her face and looking at it strangly as it became engulfed in flames like it had before.

(OOC) **bashes keen** YEY! HARRY IS COMING!

The exclaimation of horror from Sirius startled Kathryn, the feeling of icy cold dread flooding her veins. She turned around, scared of what she would face but only seeing Sirius cower on the ground in a ball of fear and a slightly dazed look Liz. She watched Remus approach the shivering man and figured that Remus would sort it out, she had something worse to worry about, her sensitive ears had had a rustling and footsteps behind the nearest hedge. Sinking her long fingered, pale hands into her pocket she grasped her wand, poised for attack, only to have a disgruntled ebony haired boy come out, Harry Potter. A feeling of relief spread through her body, Harry Potter was far from anything evil, he DID kill Voldemort after all.

"Oh, hello," He greeted, squinting his vibrantly green eyes, reminding her of the time she was squinting up at Sirius to make out his face beneath the Beech Tree. "What's happened?" He asked, his eyes wandering over to Remus and Sirius.

"Er hi... Well someone got startled and... Hold on... Aren't you somehow related to Sirius Black?" She queried, looking questionably up at Harry. "He mentioned you..." She added. Talking to Sirius for a while made her forget he had actually died and instantly felt guilty for saying that in front of Harry, she was certain he had something to do with Sirius. She wasn't sure how to say "Oh yeah, he came back from the dead and stuff" so instead she looked over her shoulder and nodded in his direction.

"Er hi... Well someone got startled and... Hold on... Aren't you somehow related to Sirius Black?" Harry looked at Kathryn for a moment between his fingers before he nodded, slowly. It had been a while since he'd last talked about Sirius.

"He was my godfather," he muttered. "Why, is Professor Lupin talking about him, he does that a lot."

Trying not to squint he looked up when he heard a loud cawing sound. A black bird - a raven? - was perched on the outstretched arm of the woman in blue. He was vaguely aware that Kathryn had nodded toward the woman, but he had no idea why.

Oh, the map...he'd...he tried to remember why he'd come out here but the sudden realization that he couldn't see had given him a terrible headache...stupid genes and inheriting his father's nearsightedness. He shook his head furiously, trying to clear it.

Draco was now very much asleep, leaning against a tree, his head looled to the side bangs cast downward over his eyes and shawdowing the rest of his face. His chest rose up and down slowly and rythmecitly.
