15.) Reeds are a substiutute for and better than bubble gum.
16.) You strongly believe a national monument should be built honoring John Philip Sousa.
17.) When reciting the alphabet, you go A through G then start back at A again.
18.) Pep band is the highlight of your week.
19.) You go around humming the last song you practiced, even if it's the Bb major scale.
20.) You realize you always start off with walking on your left foot and do not try to change.
21.) You could play your school's alma mater or fight song in your sleep, yet you have no idea what the actual words are.
22.) You point out key changes and dynamics when you listen to the radio.
23.) Having people help dress and undress you isn't even remotely sexually stimulating.
24.) Cool You adopt someone as your section mascot so your section can rub their stomach before a competition.
25.) You think lower of people who can't read music.

29.) Your mom comments on how similar your band director looks like your dad and you almost quit band because of it.

32.) Getting "dressed-up" means wearing your full uniform.
33.) You start stories off with, "One time at band camp..." and you really mean it.
34.) You listen to band music instead of your car radio.

37.) You know the names of all the characters in "Drumline."
38.) You go to other school's football games for the halftime show instead of the game.

40.) You have a scrapbook, with comments, of your used reeds.
41.) You have a shirt that specifies you are a band geek.
42.) You would rather go to a band sleepover than the prom.
43.) You start referring to a friend's instrument by it's given name.
44.) You ask for a valve oil, cork grease or box of reeds for Christmas.
45.) You're immune to and actually enjoy the taste of valve oil and slide/cork grease.
46.) You have outings with friends and your band director is included.
47.) You start marking time to the radio even if it is in cut time.
49.) When asked about your social life you say, "Oh you mean band?"
50.) You have dreams about band camp 3 months before it starts.
51.) When your not in band class you start using a pencil to do fingerings with out thinking.
52.) When you see other bands on the TV you say they could be better but they have a nice beat.
53.) When you sau you "did" someone, you only mean you helped them get in to their uniform.
54.) You are greatly offended by the mispellings, "saxaphone", "coranet" and "sousophone."

69.) People ask for a certain member's name and you tell them what instrument they play.
70.) You've been duct-taped to the band room wall more than once.
71.) You MAKE a website about your band.
72.) You know better than to be the first person to fall asleep on the band bus.

You know you're a band nerd when you're walking down the hall with your other band nerd friends and all of you are in step! rofl

You know you're a band nerd when pantsing people and seeing guys in only boxers no longer phases you. That and your fist boy/girlfriend was in band and your first date was on a band trip.

You know your a band geek when you are asked to dress nicely to the band baquent and you come in your show shirt.

I plan on going to my band trip INSTEAD of my senior trip because:
1. It's band, Cmon!
2. It's probably going to be more expensive
3. I can't pay for both

oh, and on spirit day our band director decided it would be cool to hang me from the cieling outside the band room... i play too many musical instruments... O_o english horn , oboe, flute, trumpet, mallets, electric bass, string bass, and acoustic guitar.... yeah, they were gonna hang me upside-down with my instruments eek it probably would have only scared the outsiders

You know you're a band geek when your entire wardrobe consists of band t-shirts.
