But there would be no scent for Binti to get information from, for the wind was blowing away from her. This drifted her scent towards Hani, who suddenly froze in place. So... there were others nearby, eh? Well, she would make sure she gave them a proper greeting.

Bristling and narrowing her eyes in the other's direction, the gray lioness sent out a low, warning growl. "Who's there?" came sharp words from behind clenched teeth. These were new lands, and there was no way she was going to let her guard down. As she had learned when travelling with her friend, Gana, it never hurt to be too cautious.

Binto revealed herself, stepping into view smoothly, looking perfectly at ease. She'd grown up in this territory, from soon after leaving her pride of birth up through the present, and it showed. "You're awfully aggressive for one who is not from here." she stated, showing the faintest hint of canine, as if to say that she was not seeking to be aggressive, but that she would not back down if faced with it.

"What'd you care?" Hani spat back, teeth still bared aggressively. She was new here, foreign to these lands and unknowing of what creatures lived here. Certainly that was reason enough? Bah, but this lioness didn't need a reason. She was guarded and cautious and that's all there was to it. This other lion obviously just didn't understand.

Binti sneered down at the younger lioness, narrowing her eyes slightly. "I live here, do I need another reason to care about potential trouble?" she snarled, poised for whatever this one wanted to dish out. "But perhaps you just don't know better manners, and need to be taught them?" she went on, voice lowering dangerously as she distinctly ignored the fact that she probably would have replied in a similar fashion, not very long ago. >.>.

((Hrm, was kinda waitin for Angie, but she'll jump in I suppose.))

At being addressed to politely Rihn-hi's features turned to a very gracious smile and she moved forward to follow the group, keen to observe them on their way to what she could only assume was some water source.

"It is very good to meet you Us'kali," she nodded at each of the others in greeting aswell and walked up along side Ama, in case help was needed. She looked around the area curiously, and returned her gaze to the group. These Ela'widiyi members clearly were here for some good reason. She'd not seen their homeland in ages, but surely such a change in habitat would have to be brought on by something serious.

"Why have you left your lands? This seems like rough territory...I should think your birth lands are still better than this," her voice was low and had many hints of curiousity as her eyes continued to roam between the lands on the company in which she found herself.

Hm, good enough reason. "I suppose not, but I'm not looking for trouble.." Was she? No, of course not. "One can never be too careful in foreign lands." Sehani's eyes narrowed slightly at the other when Binti mentioned manners. She had manners!! But she needn't explain it to the other female. If she thought the gray lioness rude, heh, oh well.

Showing how much she really didn't care about this one's opinions, the young lioness sat down and comfortably starting matting her fur down to its original place with her tongue. At this moment, it seemed all aggression was gone.

((I apologize Avelena, just.... had lost all motivation for Ama and Dama the past few days, I couldn't bring myself to answer x.x But! I'm here to post now! Whee))

Also hearing the strange voice behind them, Ama craned his neck around to glance behind, slightly leaning on his mother to take stress off of his injured leg. As Us'kali introduced them, Ama bowed his head in greeting. "Good day, goddess." He cautiously watched the goddess wander over to his side, not sure of the beautiful lioness' intentions. Gods were well known to have their own intentions when they were seen, and not always good. "A plague has hit our lands, wiping out most of our family. I wandered for days, looking for a sign that someone was alive. Finally, with another of our family, I stumbled across the border, simply in search of water. It was here that I found my mother again. I suppose that means we should keep up hope that others still live as well...." Ama's voice faded, he felt as though he might've said too much, or that what he did say, the goddess might already know.

Us'kali inclined her head, allowing Ama's explanation to stand as a suitable summation of their presence in the Southlands. "We are hoping to make a trek back to our homelands soon, to see if any of our pride live still." she replied, violet eyes watching the goddess carefully.

Binti's eyes narrowed slightly as she observed the younger lioness' actions. When there was no further hint of aggression, she too, sank back onto her haunches. "Then we should have no problems, if you are not here to cause me, or mine, trouble." she replied, wondering when the hell she had gotten so soft. There had been a time, she knew, where she would have felt obliged to keep harrying the younger lioness until they really DID get in a fight.

"Nope, no problems at all," the gray lioness purred. It was weird how she could randomly go from one mood to another, yet it was in her nature and uncontrollable, really. Now... what to say, what to say. There was no way in all the Great Gods she was going to give out her name. Such silly nonsense to give such a precious thing out like a mother giving milk to her cubs. No, giving out a name wasn't necessary for one to survive, and so, Hani never gave it out unless she felt that she wanted to or needed to.

"Sooo," she began ever so casually. "Are you from around here?" Still, she showed no signs of aggression as the younger lioness continued to clean her fur like there had never ever been a bad feeling between the two.

(( Fer Ary~~ heart *purrs* ))

Soon after his nice afternoon nap, a small brown cub--the runt of the litter of three--wandered away from his family in hopes of finding someone to play with and become friends with. He had only met... two others besides himself and his family, both of which he only spent a maximum of ten minutes with. It really was depressing, how he had to deal with his disfunctional family with no friends to be happy and carefree with.

Sighing, Tamu-jitu continued on in his search for another cub or just any other friendly creature for that matter. Surely someone... anyone... there couldn't only be six lions in all of these lands, could there? No, of course not, there were others. They were just hiding. Yes, playing a very large and hard game of Hide-and-Seek. (He's crazy, go with it. >>)

Continuing along in his silent manner, the brown runt kept eyes, ears, and nose alert for signs of any others of his kind. Perhaps today his luck would change and he would chance upon another lion today.

Rhin-hi gazed out over the land for a moment, she had felt death spread among several of the prides some time ago...the plague that swept across the lands had taken lives of a couple members of her once-beloved Firekin. She had of course realized some time ago that some members of the Firekin were becoming far too elitist. When her large purple eyes returned back to the two she smiled vaguely and nodded. She looked toward Ama with some concern, giving the handsome, but clearly weakened, lion an evaluating stare.

"Water should be somewhere in this direction," She spoke slowly and flashed the two a smile before taking a step forward. They seemed to already have some idea where they were going, but leading came far too naturally for her not to take an uninvited lead.

Ama glanced to his mother, before nodding and following the goddess in the direction of the water he'd scented earlier. Every few steps he looked back towards Us'kali, to make sure she was following. He'd looked so hard, and hoped so much that he'd find her, he was damn sure he wasn't gonna lose her again. A soft rumbling purr, sounding a bit more garbled due to his parched throat, emitted from his throat as he smiled at Us'kali. Despite his wrenched shoulder, the big male did his best to hobble forward without too much help.

((Sorry it took so long, been trying to catch up with stuff irl 'n such, as well as figure out how to post for everyone xd ))

Binti nodded. "I came here when I was still a cub, and have resided in these lands since." she replied, offering no other information. "Are you from a nearby land?" she queried, debating going to get something to drink before going off to find Runako--she hoped the young cub hadn't managed to get himself eaten by convincing a grown lion that he was really a genet...

Us'kali shook her head at Ama's odd-sounding purr, and padded after him, violet eyes watching him carefully, as if half afraid that his wrenched shoulder was worse than it had initially appeared. I wonder where Binti has gotten herself off to... she wondered, catching only the vaguest whiff of the other's scent in the breeze--it was tangled amongst the scents of others, almost indistinct.

Rhin-hi's ears perked at the sound of the lion behind her, it sounded quite like a purr, a noice she hadn't made in many a years. She kept a slow enough pace to ensure she wasn't more than a step or two ahead of Ama. Her large head turned around sharply to watch him openly for several moments, examining his steps to get a since of the injury, features scrunching slightly in concern.

"How did you suffer that injury, it's not permanant is it?" her voice was softened with mild concern but retained a deep, self-important quality. She found that pity for the permanantly injured and cripled had grown into apathy having dealt with the sense of death that she found so often. She avoided them, knowing that one day it may be them she sensed dead and, while all things died, it wasn't something she wanted a personal connection with.

"Oh, this?" Ama gestured to his wrenched shoulder. "A rather sheepish accident I suppose, coupled with my own sickness and weakness from searching and worrying sick over my family. I'll be alright eventually, just need to take it easy for a while I suppose." Ama frowned at the thought of taking it easy, and shrugged it off as quickly as he'd said it.

Glancing at his mother, he caught the sight of curiosity in her features. Could she be wondering where that she-devil is? Good riddance if you ask me. But he kept his thoughts to himself, knowing that Us'kali wouldn't approve of them. Continueing on in silence, the big male hobbled closer to the sweet scent of water that waited ahead of them.
