Maawios paws were placed upon the sand, as her sapphire eyes observed the land she knew well. Her white flecked ears swivled around slightly as she listened to the birds chatter. She stretched out slightly, her legs brushing the ground as she yawned, each white tooth visible. She blinked into the hazy sunlight, her tail flicking as she rolled over. The bird swooped low, and Maawio nodded, acknowledging the creatures presence. The bird rested on the branch before casting a beady eye towards the lion cubs direction.

"WAIT!" Jasiri yelled over the lions load roaring. She scooted out from behind him, standing in between the two. She glaced over at Nala, who she had just noticed, and gave an uneasy smile. She was nervous, this lioness didnt seem to really want them there, and the sight of her sharp white teeth bared towards her and Mwali gave her a shiver down her spine. Still, she stood facing her. She bowed, showing that she rescpected her as an elder. "We mean you no harm. We have only come to ask your permission to stay here in the pridelands with you. Our group consists of six, us, a fennec fox, an adult cheetah, and two other lion cubs. We have come a long gruleing way to escape the harshness of the desert, and the Firekin. Please let us stay with you." She spoke slowly, choosing her words carefully. She didnt want to upset the lioness, and cause further cauous. She glanced at Mwali, he had defended her so bravely...

Wokovu blinked as the game came to an abrupt halt. He coked his head to the side before trotting over to his mom, nudgeing her to get up before running off the way mwali had gone. Everything was going fine until Jasiri had wandered off...Stupid girl. He frowned a bit, his concern for her turning into anger at her for running off.
Yakuti blinked and got up, sighing and accepting her fate she stuck her nose to the ground and skittered after the child that was larger than her. Following the scent mwali had left when running, it was easier to track here. In the dessert the sand would shift and change the way the scent went, but on the grass that was rooted firmly in the ground it was easy to follow. She figured her remainign companions would folow her, it wasn't like the two couldn't catch up.
Wokovu followed her til they got to the massive section of rocks, his nose met with the smell of lots of lions. It didn't seem as histile though, he blinked spotting the red and brown figures that made mwali and jasiri. He grinned, quickly climbing up the rocks while his mom struggled to get footing on this new terrain. He padded up behind mwali, freezing at the sight of Sarabi, he lowered his body to the ground, ears folding back against his head and his tial tucking itsself between his legs. He gulped and watched, trying to figure out what was going on.

"Whats going on?!" Nala screamed inside her head. This seemed to her like some sort of unthinkable, haphazard arrangment of the bizarre, almost chaotic. Nala knew chaotic, or atleast some form of it, the kind she and Simba created, but that wasnt like this. This was strage, unfamiliar, and large and yet it made its way into the heart of the den.. Wasnt there suppose to be someone to stop unknown intruders? Although when the cub gave her the unesy smile, Nala couldnt help but feel a spark of commradary between the two of them. She never liked making people feel alienated and had their entrance not been so shocking, Nala would have been more than happy to greet them with her own smile...

Mwali held his defensive stance but turned to the bird, listening to the mockery being flung at him. His great head lowered a bit and his eyes fell to his paws. Even this far from the desert his reputation preceded him and he was perhaps to become the joke of this land as well. How far did he have to travel to rid himself of this ridicule? Just the fact that no matter where he want he was still pathetic, weak, lazy, and useless Mwali dug into him enough, but to have it heated up and thrown back into his face? It was insulting to say the least. He was a prince afterall... he deserved at least a tad bit of respect.
He slowly looked to the queen in silence. He was an intimadation looking creature. The firekin by nature were massive lions with impressive builds. His father had passed down the infamus features of their kin to him down to the most bulky muscle in his body. However he was weak. His roar alone would have shown that, he was still panting from his run, and his stance was slumped just a bit from the exhaustion. The only thing really threatoning about the fire prince aside from his bulk was a light growl, warning them that he'd protect the little brown female if it came down to that.

A loud growl escaped the femme's throat as she bent low, covering Nala with her body in protection. She roared a little to Sarabi, letting her know she was there to help her. She had no wish to share her den with a Firekin. In her travels she had learned about their pride, their enslaving nature, they had no right to be in the Pridelands. It was all Koho could do to hold her tongue, it was Sarabi and Mufasa's job to give orders, otherwise she would have told that prince of evil exactly what she thought. "It'll be alright little one." One paw went to comfort Nala and nudge her farther behind the protection of the lioness's body.

(woohoo...sorry everybody, last week's been pretty crazy for me XP. wow...looks like alot has happened since simba's bath!)
Simba burst right out of Sarabi's grasp with the energy of a coiled spring the second she relaxed. "Haha! I'm finally free! WOO!!!" Simba bounced around both his parents in unspeakable joy as he enjoyed his new found freedom. Stopping by Father, he shook his entire body from head to tail and at the same time messing up his fur again. Then grinning wildly, he ran towards Nala with his tail waving high in the air. "Hey Nala, did you hear? Father said that he'll show us the kingdom!" Simba spun around without waiting for Nala to reply when he heard Mother the tenseness of her voice. Simba's eyes flashed towards the direction in which Mother was looking at. Suddenly, Simba's fur rised up as he felt the nervousness in everybody surrounding him. He narrowed his eyes and focused, and saw the flash of red moving rapidly towards Pride Rock. A low growl escaped from his throat, but before he could properly react, and a bundle of brown came flying over the grass towards him! What happened the next few moments happend too fast.
Simba shook his head to clear up the jumbled thoughts in his head. He found himself standing in the cave, and noticed Mother in an stance of attack and aggressiveness. He craned his neck and looked out, and saw the huge scarlet lion with a flaming mane and piercing green eyes facing Mother, and another brown lion cub, seemingly not much older than himself, near him. Spinning around, he saw Koho standing guard alongside Mother and....is that Nala? She seemed so small, so little, hiding behind Koho and shivering incredibly. What came over Simba next, he did not understand, and perhaps never would. Maybe it was the kingly instinct deep inside him surfacing, or the fact that he felt the ones he held dear being threatened, but a low growl started from his throat, and within seconds, he roared with all his strength (which is not much considering his size) He sprung on towards the mouth of the cave and jumped right between the red lion and Koho, with her behind him...and Nala. Simba's fur bristled with hostility and he bared his barely grown fangs at the strangers as he arched his back and sank close to the ground. His tail flicked dangerously as out of his eyes bright eyes daggers shot forth.

Mwali stepped back just a little bit, a large velveted paw scooped Jasiri back behind his paw along with Wokovu. He wasn't about to let something happen to the cubs, they were practally family to him now- just about the only ones that he had. He hadn't taken an aggressive stance at all, and if he had it looked pretty pathetic. Though his bulk was large he was slumped with exhaustion, his mane looked raggy and blasted from sand and wind. He would occasionally shift his weight from one side to the other during the stand off to keep himself from laying down. His paws hurt like nothing else and all he wanted was to rest again.
A flash of gold and a tiny roar caught his attention, the emerald eyes turned downwards to look at what must have been the prince of the pride. All ready taking royal action... He made a bit of a grimmace and shook his head, speaking in a slow and soft voice. Each word he chose carefully, knowing full well he could loose his life or his freedom if he were to say anything wrong, "We are not here to cause trouble.... we come from the firekin lands as you have rightfully guessed I assume."
He was a prince, afterall, he might as well speak like one, "The journey lasted many long hot days through wind and severe heat, but we all were willing to risk it just to see your kingdom here." He stepped forward, lifting his head proudly and taking a more regal stance, "I am prince Mwali- second born under my father... and I bring a message from Kimondo who I believe was part of your pride before coming to my father's lands. She has found love and happiness, a mother now to the young royalty of my pride. I left because I sought a new and better life..." He glanced to the crow, "As the bird has made obvious... I am not known for my greatness, power, or anything else grand. Any threat I pose to you is small at most. I ask only to be accepted here- and those with me. If this isn't your will I will leave your lands and live as a rouge until my soul joins my ancestors."

Chakavu tilted her head curiously and then hopped along side the ball of golden fur that symbolised the young prince that now made a valiant, yet small show of bravery. The crow looked up at Mwali and then actualy smiled, looking at Mufasa and Sarabi.

Nala watched Simba in utter bewilderment. Crounching down on the ground and peeking her head out around Koho's large paw, she whispered to Simba, "What do you think you're doing?! Get back here!" In any other situation the puffiness and squeaky roar would have been amusing, but not at the moment..
Slinking out around Koho she made her way towards Simba and grabbed the end of his tail in her mouth and tried to pull him back. The lion claimed to not be very powerful, but his tottering stance could still be dangerous, especially if he accidentally landed on Simba.

Koho's eyes widened at the young Prideland prince made a stand. As Nala went to pull him back, Koho's weight shifted forward and in a mighty swoop, she caught the little lion in her mouth, bringing Nala back with a swipe of her paw. She set Simba down shortly, but used her free front paw to hold him, "That was quite a show little nephew, but it is not your place to defend your family yet." She watched and listened to this Mwali, her fur bristling at the thought of him joining her family. She just hoped her brother and Sarabi would feel the same. Even if he said he was different from the firekin, they're ways were treacherous and vengeful and he had yet to prove he was any different. And he was a full grown male! He should be looking to start his own pride, not come knocking on another's door, begging acceptance and a free ride!
