Okay just wanted to make sure we both know Cy has them.
Is that right, well why don't you just show us the otherside of those dents before we go to the actual guild. I bet a person that has standings in the guild like you do, knows how to get through the dents.

"Perhaps I overestimated your abilities, elf" he says, "I can't get through, nor can any other person living today."
"Hey, the rectangles do move." Cy says, "look, they're storage compartments."
You see that one container is filled with pieces of topaz, while the other is filled with diamond parts. They're all rounded on one side, but the other sides have notches and protrusions.

Well then you obviously have never met either me or Cy before, because our stubbornes will get us through these rectangles. I bend over and look at the containers. So how do you think we should do this Cy?

"My best guess is that these things fit together, probably into some kind of orb-like shape." Cy says, "They're probably like keys for this wall."
"This is all a waste of time!" the guild captain says, "We've had our best scholars work on this puzzle and they've come up with nothing. It's nothing but your own ego that allows you to continue in spite of this."

I suppose spot would work, but I have a different sysem I'm using.
"Very well, then." he pulls out a weapon, "You're going to quit now. We don't know what's on the other side of that wall, but I know that only guild members should see it."
"You handle the puzzle Valient, I'll handle these fools." Cy says.
"You!?" he scoffs, "What do you think you can do against us? We have you and your wolf outnumbered 3 to 1."
Cy looks around at all the people, "Your figures seem to check out," he says, "but there's one thing you forgot in your calculations. I'm not so different from this city, you see. I have dragon's blood too!"
Enormous wings burst out of the back of Cy's robes as he flips down his hood. He pulls out his scimitar and brandishes it menacingly. His eyes have taken on the malicious quality you saw when you first met him. As he speaks, you can almost hear another voice that's not his own. "You have until I count to five before I start killing every one of your pathetic little guild....FIVE!"
Subtract your wis modifier from 10 and roll that number of d4s to see how many minutes you take for the first puzzle ball.
Intimidate +10
All of the guild members seem frozen in place for a moment, and then the guild leader turns and runs. The others quickly follow.
"I was hoping I'd get to spill some blood," Cy says, "damned cowards."

I have a polymorph self spell I can use once per day. So, I could turn myself into a human. Of course we would have to walk away so they didn't see me change first. But, we would have to wait till tomarrow because I used it to get food earlyer. The shops don't like non-humans either. Oh and here is that fortsave that I still don't get. Fort +3

Lizz: I gave you your cryptic hint, as DM I'm not allowed to give more than that. Suffice to say that it's important later. Lizz: You feel somehow different, though you can't tell how. A slight chill runs through your body, but quickly subsides.
Steven: After a few minutes, Cy finishes his puzzle ball. It's a topaz sphere with engravings all over it. For the most part, they appear decorative, and are strongly fire-based in design.
Cy takes off his cloak and lays a hand to it. He utters one word that you can't quite make out the origin or meaning of and it stitches itself back together. He folds back his wings and puts it back on.
You finish your puzzle ball soewhat later, with the same result mostly. This time, the puzzle ball is made from diamond. It has the same intricate engravings, but this one has ice-like designs.
"Now there's just one question." Cy says, "Where do they go? It seems that there's one very close to their Earth, and one far away. The question is, would the moon be closer or farther away from us than the sun?"

It would be closer, my kin have looked up to it for as long as we could remember and we know its closer then the sun. But I don't know if things were the same before the mass extinction that you spoke of.

"My people did much in our time, though little remains but ruins." Cy says, "It's possible that we have looked to the heavens as your kind. At any rate, this is a good first guess. We can only get it wrong once, right?"
Cy places his puzzle ball into the further away dent.

The two orbs move on their fixed orbits. It starts slowly at first, then picks up spped, and eventually all you see are a yellow blure and a white blur. They seem to be moving closer together, and the wall turns around, revealing a new dent in the middle and another inscription. "In darkness, there is light In heat there is cold In evil there is good." A pile of pieces appears at the foot of the wall. This time, there are both yellow topaz and white diamond pieces.
"There's always another riddle." Cy says.
