Ryugi Kazamaru The Fierce Deity Learning on one's own is the best path, in Deity's eyes...s'how he and anyone worth fighting went about learning. =O Couldn't have said it better myself, though I did learn from some people I respect very much. Ertai - I'd rather be a winner in the eyes of those I respect, and be a winner in my eyes, than be a winner in yours.
Interesting. Tell me how that works looking up from the bottom.

@Ryugi: ...mm, Deity did, of course, pick things up as he went, starting some two years ago. But he never had any one actual teacher...he thought of playing the role of teacher a few times, but decided otherwise. Better to let others pick things up on their own....

Doesn't really bug me. There will always be people better than me, so why care if they are?

Nihilistic_Impact True, every time I've seen such large scale battles it's always been were people control nations instead of a single person. Though something like a raid or just a platoon would be nice. Yeah, you'd have to be really descript on the terrain though. Like, doing something like a four-man squad trying to take a warehouse or whatever.
The layout of the warehouse would have to be set in stone before you did anything. Since like, terrain is awesome and whatnot.
It'd be koul doing a sewer raid though, recreate some Jin-Roh s**t.

How do you gain enjoyment being on the bottom?

I gain enjoyment from fighting, and having a good time doing so, reguardless of where I stand in "skill."

Shou, I would so draw up a map to do that. Jin-roh was a pleasure to watch, I loved the armour and the MGs they used, who the hell would think an MG-42 would be the best infantry weapon that needs to be given to each soldier.

I just spent all day surrounded by 3 lovely women, while shopping for an entirely new summer wardrobe at Saks fifth avenue, and picking up my tux for the dance this saturday ********, it's sad to backread and see you guys go at it so much online.
You people need to go out more.
Maybe rent an apartment and live a little.

Well...this thread is a b***h to catch up on.
But luckily, it was all just OOC bitching or casual conversation and there's nothing really important I need to get back to anybody on.
So...I'm gonna read some of the fights going on right now. I'm glad to see O/M filling up, only about 11 more and it's full, then I need to bug people to pay/app and such that haven't.
Oh yeah, Chatterbox. It's just been neglected because nobody takes it seriously and it's the only board I haven't sent out invites for people to join. It'll fill, though.
