HonoRaven Hono stopped for a moment, peering up at the sky for a moment as she absently chewed at the tip of her gloved finger...wondering if she did need a break, pondering if this place, and everything that had happened today, was getting to her.... Rave came up with a very simple answer... " Nope!" whee She did use that moment to batten down her shields, and make certain that she wasn't reading or broadcasting empathically to anyone in the area, and managing to become curious about meeting Reiyvain instead of anxious. " I'm fine thanks..." Hono started after him once more, curious and more herself again. Durranis smiles softly at her, her words pleased him. It seemed that all of Ravens hesitations about her introduction to the High Priestess vanished. It was a relief, and it felt as if a small burden had just been lifted from his shoulders, a weight he had been unaware of, eased. Hono had gone from timid and anxious to almost excited. He thought to himself,
A change t'ward the greater good to be certain...
Things would be made much easier now, and they would only get more so, the more that Raven herself became willing to be here and meet the tasks that would be set before her, as only she could do them.
It would have been a waste of their efforts, for no good could come from investing in negativity. But Raven had stepped away from the uncertainties of doubt and doom and into the light. Or at least, moved a few decent paces toward it. "Very well M'lady."They rounded the corner and the pathway opened up before them. The path widened considerably, and the interlocking stones were a variety of colours. Where normally the multitude of colours would look gaudy and garish, yet everything in the pathway's design seemed subtle, contributing to a beautiful whole in even in the dimming light of dusk. The path was quite lengthly, with stone lanterns on either side of it, spaced several paces apart. Someone had already been along and lit them, and the soft pale light of the lanterns flames was reflected in the stones they illuminated. Walking along this path, they would eventually come upon the temple courtyward. To enter into the courtyard, one had to pass beneath several wooden archways, resembling an outdoor corridor. This was a feature of Japanese architecture... yet they seemed to reflect the artistic culture of the elves equally. The large arches were carved with delicate intertwining vines and flowers, and it seemed as if tiny woodland creatures peeked their heads out curiously. A wooden illusion, but a beautiful one. Tucked into the carvings were glass paned lanterns, lighting their way in the growing darkness.

Hono always thought f herself as being a fairly simple sort of person.. when she bothered to think of herself as a person at all sweatdrop As the sun set she slipped her dark sunglasses upon her head to better examine the carvings in the wooden arches, making soft comments of "aww, how cute" and "wow, look at the detail on that one!" whee
The bird brain hopped along on her high heels, each step leading her further away from her doubts and confusion, and watching Durranis's a** as he walked was definitely lightening her mood blaugh . Although that was likely to be one of those 'too much of a good thing' situations, Rave was more than willing to enjoy her surroundings while she had the chance, too often of late, her situation had a bad habit of changing very drastically sweatdrop
"How long has this place been here Durranis?"

If he had any idea that the lovely lady at his back was watching his backside, he gave no hint of the fact and continued to lead her through the corridor. Giving the appropriate noises and sounds of agreement as she commented on the elven carvings.
"How long has this place been here Durranis?"
"If my memory serves me right... The Lady Ethelstan founded the Dark Sakura eighteen years after arrival... which was in what we would call the seventeen hundreds...."
They stood at the end of the corridor now and the path opened up into the temple courtyard, overlooking an immense water garden. Once again, the culmination of Japanese and Elven styles was evident. Overshadowing everything, rising high above the treetops was the temple itself.
"So that would make the estates around three hundred or so years old..."

Hono thought that over for a bit, and wondered how these people managed to keep themselves so quiet... 300 years and she had not heard a whisper about a bunch of elves running around trying to save the world ! whee
Rave smiled at the picturesque landscape, and wondered if this place was as peaceful as the brochure claimed xp "That is where we are headed?"

There weren't actually that many elves here, considering the number of people who made the Dark Sakura their home. There was Sierra'est'a'ra'lian, Shin'athel'en'dros and Reiyvian. There was an elf by the name of Bree who was sometimes seen about the guild grounds... There was the Elven Master Armorer T'lier'osyn'drothi... but T'lier rarely left his smithy and was not overly sociable... and an elven seamstress by the name of Kie'rst'a'shin. But aside from those few names... Elves were not commonplace amongst the populace of the Guild Lady's people.
Most of the cities in the outlaying area, did not look kindly upon elves. Despite the fact that Sierra herself dealt with them and they had sought protection behind the banners of the Dark Sakura more than once in times past. The seemingly perfect beings made the local humans feel inferior and insecure... Elves were seen to be Snooty and Self-righteous in their superior carriage of themselves.
Yet the Dark Sakura protected them anyway.
He raised his eyes to the horizon, looking where she looked. The top tiers of the Temple Structure glimmering in the distance. "Yes... That is our destination. The Temple of All Faiths."He smiled brightly, the temple truly was beautiful. Even enchanting surrounded by such a magickal garden. Ushering her from beneath the last shady arch, he would lead her into the picturesque gardens of the Temple.

Hito pushed open the front gate of the estates. The familiar scenery greeted him. Much had changed since he had graced these halls with his presence, and yet everything felt so familiar. The buildings were exactly in the right place, though many of them had been renovated or otherwise changed over the years. He looked up at the sakura blossoms drifting lazily on the breeze. It truly had been a long time. It had been a while since he felt as though he could step back onto these grounds. as one of the blossoms brushed against his cheek and stuck there, he slowly brushed it away and stared at it as it flew away on invisible wings. Things seemed busy, but he didn't want to intrude in the new members' business. He opted instead to wait around, his hand resting on the hilt of the katana strapped to his waist, until he found a familiar face, or better yet, someone found him.

Rose had sat idley for what felt like, and probably was, several weeks. She sat stiffly on one of the roofs of a building in the center of Dark Sakura. She was so lonely now... Rose would sigh, lifting the back of her cloak and speading her stiff, black-feathered wings. They would crackle and weeze like a statue that had stood motionless for centuries, finally taking its first move. She would shiver. She had been rained on, snowed on, and baked in the sun, as well as chilled in the icy, windy, nights. "Where are they... anyone..." A tear would pool in her eyes and leak down along her cheek in her lonliness.

When Frost had left Regnier in the gardens he had made his way with haste to the Bureau of Intelligence. A heavily shielded... and guarded building in the GUARDIAN district of the estate. It was in the very center of all the Squad captains HQ's and their troops barracks, the buildings on the outlaying edge of the district belonged to the Guild Guard. It was very rare that a GG member like Frost had cause to venture this deep into GUARDIAN territory.
The Bureau was under command Kimiho, the Oracle who commanded the pyschic division of GUARDIAN. She was the one he needed to make his report to...
"HALT! And state your name and business."
"You're central intelligence, shouldn't you know who I am?"
"Ha hah funny. Keep it up and we'll see who's laughing."
"Tch... no sense of humour. I'm Captain Firefrost. I'm one of the GG assigned to the gate watch this night and I come with urgent and disturbing news that must be spoken only in your lady Kimiho's ear."
"... .... Very well. Wait here Captain Frost."
Frost saluted the man and waited. It was 15 minutes before someone returned for him.
"Oracle Kimiho will see you now."
Frost followed quietly, through the main floor. It was much like he'd expected it to be he supposed. Paper pushers everywhere... But when he was lead downstairs, it was considerably different. The air was thick with power, and every door he passed lead to a 'work room' of sorts. A room for magick workings. And they all seemed to be occupied. Probably by psychics from the fourth squad.
The door at the end of the hallway was open and Frost was lead inside. There a woman with feline features stared at him expectantly. Her eyes were the piercing yellow of a cat's and she sat seated in te center of a glowing spell circle. The magenta lines of her power blazing about her. After a moment that he didn't say anything, she sighed.
"Do you plan on presenting your report Captain, or are you waiting for me to read your mind?"
"Oh ahh. Of course... m'lady."
Gathering himself he continued,
"We received two injured refugees from a town up North. The woman was barely alive and it remains to be seen if our healers will be able to save her. The man should have been in a similar state but surprisingly made it here carrying his companion and managed to tell us that 'shadows' attacked their village. He reported that the shadows destroyed everything and everyone. He also states that these Shadows are one eyed."
Kimiho listened carefully... taking in this tragedy.
"And he came to us--"
"Because he had heard of us and thought we could help."
Kimiho pursed her lips and tented her fingers in thought.
"Where are the victims now?"
"With the healers. A guard is with them."
"Very good... Lieutennant, I want two people from the first squad posted on guard. Standard precaution in event of crisis."
The man who had escorted Frost in saluted.
"Yes ma'm."
"That is all. Thank you Captain, you are both dismissed."
The lieutenant lead Frost from the room and back through the building.
"We expect your written report to be filed before dawn of course. Good night Captain."
And with that the door was closed (politely) in his face.
"Of course." Frost muttered as he went and got changed. Even if Rose had removed the blood from his uniform he still felt dirty. Grabbing a dossier and straightening his jacket after changing, he exit6s his barracks and heads back through the gardens, folder tucked under his arm.

Rose would bite her lip as she saw Frost emerge from the barracks. She had longed for company for the longest time and wished nothing more then to converse with someone, yet she was too shy to call upon Frost. He seemed so busy when she last saw him and she didn't want to get in his way. Maybe if he came over... No, he wouldn't bother, as busy as he was. Her sigh would echo out in the silence, carried by a silent breeze as she lowered her head, letting her wings drift her down gently to the stoop of the building she had been sitting upon.

*he had no idea how long he had been running, all he knew was that he was sick of it. Without looking around he reachs out with his senses again, his pursuers had almost doubled in numbers since he last checked, sniffing the air he picks up another group numbering around 4... no wait 5 induviduals, they were coming from the right up ahead of him, no doubt planning to ambush him, he sighs and mutters something under his breath, ducking under a branch as he passes leafs scrap his face, reaching a gap between the ground and the sky through the trees, he takes the chance to look up at the clouds as they darken, smirking his eyes flash and lightning slashs through the sky, his heart beats in time with the thunder and continues to do so, it would be wise to keep his ace prepped and ready to go... just incase. reaching the other end of the clearings he crashs through the undergrowth again, the ambush group has stopped ahead he can hear the bow strings being pulled and the swords being unsheathed, suddenly time seems to slow down as he stops, pulling a knife from its place amongst the many others he places it in his fist and clenchs, drawing it out he doesn't so much as grimace, raising his hand up into the air the blood leaks down his arm in intricate patterns, he opens his mouth and inhales a vast amount of air*
"INTRAXI DIN HARRA SEF!!"
*the sky is lit up by numerous lightning bolts as the streak down towards him, striking his outstretched hand energy courses into his body, he swipes his hand down infront of him watching as the blood falls to the ground, as it does so lighting once again streaks down from the heavens, striking the blood with loud sizzles and before it even lands an exact duplicate of himself stands before him, time resumes and the two glare at each other, with a nod the seperate one heads towards the ambush and one heads off to the south east, turning once before they leave shouting distance*
"get to the guild brother, i will see you again when the storm clouds gather, don't let anything or anyone get in your way, we both know how important this is..."
*turning again they both speed off in seperate directions*
