"Hard Luck" Hatsu Harima, the Heartbreak Kid "Aa, I'll stand my ground...I'll help you."
They were still hanging in there, though it was increasingly-difficult to keep the shelter in Iwatodai protected against the attacks of the devils, the rioters, the other factions, and of course, Benetnasch. Hatsu had been patrolling the outskirts with Seika; they knew that they needed to go elsewhere in order to win more members to their side except that they couldn't bring themselves to abandon the people who needed them right here in the park. They had worked hard to keep it safe, forcing demons onto the defensive in the city at least in some radius around the park, but those who still attacked were growing in number. Their patrols had increased in order to meet this threat, which was where Hatsu found himself as the lights went down in the city.
Standing before a demon that would have been terrifying on Day 1, he was confident now as the Blue Dragon Seiryuu loomed over him, roaring its intention to break in and destroy the people who had profaned his lands. Hatsu called out his demonic allies and cracked his fingers.
"Aa...I won't let you," he told the dragon confidently, grim determination set over his exhausted form, "I will protect them all." Until the end...

Focused intensely as he was on protecting the people of the shelter from the demons, Hatsu found himself soon in the cross-hairs of the largest and most prominent threat patrolling the streets of Iwatodai soon enough...the Septentrione Benetnasch, still lingering in the wake of everyone's inability to eliminate it from the world, was upon him soon after his stunning defeat of Seiryuu and putting the pressure on without mercy, forcing him into a defensive posture...and finally, to avoid the death that was almost sure to come, a temporary retreat.
"Aa..." he let out a small breath in the alley of the street that bordered the northern wall of the park/shelter and counted himself fortunate to have survived the encounter. But the threat was still out there...it still called for a hero to defeat it. But without Trumpeter...
...The future of his shelter and Iwatodai was truly becoming grim.

The long day was finally coming to a close, and Izumi's chosen faction seemed to be doing better than any of the others... and she exhaled slightly before standing up and preparing to help them take down one last foe.
