Cadenza, quickly losing interest in the battle, began to toddle down the alley soon after Tina had taken care of the Spritzee. "Oh, Cadenza!" Heather returned Tina, after thanking her, and quickly hurried after her pokemon. "Where are you going?" Before she could reach him a Skitty jumped out behind one of the trashcans, hackles raised and paw raised to defend itself. Cadenza didn't halt, delivering an attack and then continuing on his way as the pink feline toppled over, eyes swirling. He stopped only a few steps later, and with a victorious cry he turned to Heather with an egg in paws.
"Oh!" Quickly recovering from her surprise, she grinned before she picked up her Spinda, "good job, Cadenza! I didn't even see that!" He certainly seemed proud of his find, the Spotted Panda cradling the egg gently in his arms, and his trainer's praise only made it better. "Let's call up Lysander, I'm sure he'll be happy too," Heather suggested as she headed out of the alley, pulling out her own communicator so that she could ring up her brother.

After calling her brother and setting a meeting for the gate that led to Camphrier Town, Heather made her way dedicatedly through the streets of South Lumoise with Cadenza in her arms; as much as he would, probably, benefit from walking on his own, she knew that Lysander wouldn't take too kindly to waiting too long, and so they needed to move in a timely manner. They were still about five minutes out when another Skitty appeared, less hostile than the last one but still looking for a fight, and before Cadenza could move to intercept it Heather pulled him tighter to her, restricting his movements. "Hold up, Cad, let's give someone else a chance to battle," she suggested, and after he gave a nod to indicate he was on board she sent out Legato.
"Use Water Gun!" she commanded as the Poppilo materialized, excited to give him a chance to battle. More excited, it turned out, than the pokemon himself. Legato didn't even wait until he'd gotten a good look at the Skitty before he turned up his nose and began to inch his way back, voicing his disdain for both the pink feline and the battle. "Aw, Legato, please?" Heather stepped up to gently intercept him, crouching down by his side. "We talked about this, remember? The fastest way to get you to evolve is through battle." This wasn't the first time the two had run into this issue, Heather had learned of the water type's opinion of battles early on when they'd first encountered each other -- and yet still, after all this time, she didn't understand his hesitance. Once engaged, Legato seemed to actually enjoy himself and showed great skill. Maybe he just believed it to be beneath him? Heather wasn't sure.
Whatever the reason, the trainer was relieved to find that a quick reminder of his evolution was all it took to get him to battle. It was a relatively quick match too, with a few water guns enough to send the Skitty, drenched, running off. Immediately after Heather treated him with a potion, murmuring encouragingly as sprayed his wounds, and then afterwards returned him. Heather dusted off her hand, happy, picked Cadenza back up and then continued on her way to meet back up with Lysander. They arrived with no other issue, and with enough time that they were the ones actually waiting for Lysander and Amp. When the other two finally arrived they started on their way again.

He bristled, looking around at the towering buildings, and the bustling crowds. Arceus.... this place was bigger than Hau'oli. Bigger than any city he'd been in, really. He shifted a bit, then glanced at Alicia, noticing she was studying him. He flushed. "You can leave now," he muttered, not appreciating the cool, judging expression on her face. Sighing, Adder considered just releasing more of his pokemon, to cover more ground. But what if he lost them? Maybe he should have them do a buddy system? He frowned, scrounging around, before pulling out a few pokeballs. He released Pan, Pengyou, and Lady. He was pretty sure Arrow could handle himself, but he let Pengyou and Pan team up to search the grounds, and had Pichu go with Lady. It.... probably wasn't the smartest choice, if he was a more observant, careful thinking, wise individual, but.... he was Adder, so, that was the choice he made.

Sending his pokemon out, Adder decided that maybe he coudl do a little shopping. As careless as he was, though, he admittedly wasn't sure he was comfortable just going about his business while his pokemon wandered around. The city was huge, they might go too far. Or, they might get caught, or captured, or battled, or run into wild pokemon. He was starting to second guess his decision. Maybe this wasn't such a good idea..... maybe he should have just stuck through it, and conceded to the fact that this was likely going to take a while.

Somehow, though, Adder got lucky. Penyou and Pan found an egg, though the munchlax looked less than pleased to have had to walk around to begin with. Adder gave them both some praise, then set out to find his other poekmon. Arrow wasn't too hard to find since he was flying around, and with some help from Penyou, he caught his attention and brought him back down. He decided to give the bird a rest, and recalled the three of them, before heading out to find Pichu and Lady. Given how fast things had gone, nothing had gone wrong with them.... yet. Leaving Adder clueless to the faults of his choice. He continued the mistake by deciding to let them both stay out, and with that, released the girafarig to contact Alicia, and head towards the next location.

Chespin and the new Skitty were catching on fine but Meowth, Bulbasaur, and Spritzee just weren't getting it. Even with Lopunny's assistance progress was slow going. Thankfully once they were past the basic's things would pick up, she hopped. The hard part was getting them to memorize the different hand signs and what they meant. Harder still was getting them to understand the correlation between a hand sign and an action or object. It was frustration at times. Enough so that Emory a few times found herself wanting to headbutt a tree. Lopunny helped where she could but like Emory could only do so much.
Emory sat cross-legged on the ground one-on-one with Chespin going over some of the sign's she'd thus far taught it. In front of her, spread out, were flash cards with pictures of different objects or actions drawn on them. The idea was that she'd sign something and Chespin would point out which card was what she signed meant. Bulbasaur sat on the sidelines observing, as did Skitty. Emory signed food. Chespin took a second but pointed out the correct card. Emory smiled but continued onto the next. This went on for nearly an hour before Emory was satisfied with Chespins progress. It wasn't a perfect score but it was progress she could be proud of.
The remainder of the day was spent relaxing or training in other ways. Emory knew from experience, having trained all of her other Pokemon in basic sign language, that she couldn't push them too much. A little at a time. Slow but steady progress was better than it being rushed and incomplete or wrong. While her Pokemon played she took to wondering the general area finding a few berry trees. Picking just enough to start her own garden in the pots hanging from the wagons windows. without leaving the trees barren and thus the wild Pokemon hungry.

The next stop took them to South Lumiose City and Ashley found himself smiling as he dropped down in the familiar city. Where others would’ve immediately been dissuaded by the sheer size of center of Kalos, he was not. It was refreshing to be surrounded by the hustle and bustle of other individuals, scurrying around to enjoy the shopping and unique experiences that Kalos had to offer. ”Ten minutes?” She repeated, staring at him for any hints that might confirm that he was joking. Ashley was already scouting the area though, taking in their surroundings. They had landed on the outskirts of the city proper, which made sense given the size of the pokemon that was carrying them. Normally it was ill advised to have such massive creatures touching down right in the middle of the streets; that was hazardous and could certainly cause dangerous crashes.
"Oui. Maybe twelve. It will depend, non?" Lizzie just stared. This guy couldn’t be serious. Ashley, once more, ignored her shock and started taking steps down the side walk, adjusting his glasses once more as he did. Obviously, it would take even more time if he sat there ideally chit-chatting and that was no good.

Bastien followed a few feet after Ashley, though for what reason he wasn’t sure. Trailing his trainer certainly wasn’t going to help find an egg, at least not before the man did. But he was still at a loss. It was just a fluke though; he’d spent so much time thinking about the competition and how it would assist him in strengthening his psychic skills that he’d given Ashley a chance to get ahead.
So, this time he’d avoid that. He did want to know how his trainer had found the eggs so quickly though and was curious what he’d do in a massive city like this. Bastien certainly didn’t think this made it any easier but he had heard the man claim he could do it in ten minutes. So… how?

The fox continued to follow and stopped only when Ashley did. His attention drifted from his trainer, who seemed to just be focused on his communicator at his point, to their surroundings. The city was lively and bustling and he’d not had a chance to fully take it in. It was much different than the lab he’d been born and raised in; louder and more crowded by far. The cars caught him by surprise the most; large metallic boxes that clearly were not pokemon but served as yet another means of transportation for humans. It was kind of crazy to see those and then with just the slightest turn of the head, Skiddos with riders going down the designated areas along the curbs. A combination of organic and inorganic transportation…. It was crazy. -

"Bastien." Ashley’s voice broke his thoughts and the Braixen snapped his attention to the man. Once more, he was wearing a frown, brow furrowed as he stared down at the pokemon. It took him a moment to realize that Ashley was no longer standing where he’d originally been and looked as though he was walking back the way they came. It took another moment for him to realize that the man already had another egg in his hands, shocking the fox.
His trainer didn’t say a word, just shaking his head. It was rather evident that he was already disapproving of Bastien’s lack of focus and in turn failure to locate an egg yet. Sure, it was only the third one but if this continued, Ashley would simply be doing all the looking himself and while not a problem overall, it undermined his intentions for Bastien. Walking past, he returned to the outskirts of the city where Lizzie still waited at the woman’s eyes went wide as he returned.
”How….” Ashley took a gander at the time. About eleven minutes… worse than the worse of what he’d expected but… well enough. He shook his head and tucked the egg away. "Let us move on."
