Actually getting to the surface in one piece felt pretty awesome. So, Milo got out of the water with... limited problems. Reaching the shore, America shook herself off and wrung out her hair before finding her bathrobe. Stretching a bit, she admired the bloody foam flecked waters with a satisfied grin. "That's right, showed them a thing or two."
With a jaunty swing in her step, the trainee made her way back to the dorms and went up to the roof again. It had been a good spot before, and it'd do for now.

Admiring the first two, America set them carefully to the side and took a deep breath, trying to hold onto that peaceful place inside her. Ahhhhh....there it was. In the end she finished strong, a nice load of glowies and only a few failures.

Once it was clear that the mermaids were indeed gone, Mimsy went directly back to the tentacles because of course she did.

Thankfully, it did have more - 700% more, in fact! What an increase! If the next cave continued this trend, Mimsy doubted that she would be able to carry the stones to the surface. But inevitably, her luck would not be that good again.
