Pale eyes narrowed faintly at his tone, and when he began to walk away she was actually prepared to let him go.
Then he kept on talking to her, even asked(demanded} she not go away. So maybe this guy wasn't entirely sure what he wanted, that was understandable. If they'd all woken from nothing and with no memory or real sense of self, then she supposed some moodiness wasn't out of the question.
With an exasperated sigh she jogged to catch up to him, falling in step more or less beside him while trying to avoid the rain that fell through the broken subway roof. At this point she'd finally made the connection that Rain = Pain. Conversationally she felt the need to point something out. "Or maybe it's me that's stuck with you.

He watched her give herself a once-over, part of him thinking she was probably taking his words a little too seriously, while the other half wondered if she really would split in half from bumping into him. His own fingers were a little crumbly. Stew supposed it wasn't beyond the realm of possibility.

He paused, but when he answered, it wasn't to snap or rage.
"I haven't ruled out the possibility," he said grimly. "Did yours show up after you--" he hesitated. What was the word? "Lost a fight?" Good enough, actually. He peered out into the rain, spotted another convenient shelter, and made for it. Everything was easier if you were moving, if you had something to do.

Another fragment flitted past and Stew's hand darted toward it. He had been wary of them at first, but every one brought with it a glimpse into another life, one that made him feel warm and happy, even the one about puggle ******** closed his fingers around it.

Another small smile, more satisfied this time, followed his acceptance of her alternative suggestion to their current arrangement. It did not last, however, when she considered his following question. "No, I haven't lost a fight yet." No thanks to herself. She hadn't so much as managed to scratch one of the weird buzzing monitor monsters, let alone do any real damage. He didn't need to know that though.
"It just sort of appeared when I wandered away from The Spire and came here." One moment nothing, the next she had a necklace. Honestly she couldn't pinpoint the exact moment it had appeared, having only noticed it in the first place when it had bounced against her chest when her pace had picked up when she'd rushed to get out of the rain.

Navya's eyes tried to adjust to the light; red in colour and a little blinding. Was seeing supposed to hurt this much? Around her, lights danced and tinkled and she reached out to touch one, bringing it into her hand.

The word came to her and there was nothing she could pin point that gave it any significant reason so she shrugged it off and continued exploring. Fragments collected: 1
The next fragment wasn't so easy to catch and it danced around her for a moment before floating away; almost as if it was teasing her. Lips pursed and she continued on.
