Winter ran, getting bruises and cuts along the way and with tears streaming down her face. She finally collasped in a clearing and cried. I've lost everything. Daniel can find another woman. Better than me. I am nothing. Its all my fault for thinking that I was actually worth something. I am a fool. Daniel is like all the others. Winter slamed her fist into the ground making a large indention. All of her anger and sadness burst forth and she shifted. A black wolf snarled and faced the direction of the house. She ran towards the house and stopped at the front door, cautionously sniffing the air. Everything had to be right. She only picked up women behind the door and stood on her hind legs, opening the door. She walked inside and watched the womens reactions. Some screamed, others eyes grew wide in fear but only one dared venture to pet the wolf. Anna.

Daniel continued to sleep as he took some deep breahts, as he slowly began to shrink. As the woman lef the bed heading downstairs to anna as she whispered gently to her. she then looked at winter "hello dear, daniel is asleep, but i think he is loseing and dieing. he wanted me to give you this note and will" she placed them in front of winter and left heading to inform the other slaves

Winter looked up at the woman and nodded. She wanted to leave, to let him hurt like she did. But she couldn't. She padded up the stairs after reading his note and opened the door to his room. Winter saw him on his bed and shut the door behind her. She gently jumped onto his bed putting her nose to his chest. She repeated a small song in her head and felt her life draining away and felt Daniels heartbeat growing stronger.

daniel pushed the energy away back into winter as he srunk faster almost the side of his nightstand. he moved a bit pulliing the covers down a bit "winter don't try alright. i can see you are unhappy with me. your free now as a person i mean, do as you wish with it. find new love, start a family" he said weakly and horsely

Winter forced the life into him, keeping him from shrinking any further. She had to change back and placed her hands over his heart. She said softly, "I'm happy with you. Nothing in life is perfect it never can be. I love you Daniel..." She felt a few tears fall down her face.

daniel smiled gently before coughing violetnyly, he placed his hand on her check and smiled "winter i see the pain caused you, i can't bear to give you more pain" he said. He began to tremble as he pulled his hand back

Winter's tears grew more abundant as he touched her cheek and she gently said, "If you can't cause me anymore pain then don't leave me.. you would be causing the worst kind of pain." She looked at him through tear-filled eyes and smiled shakely, "Don't leave me.. please... I need you..."

"you have everyone here to help you, the house, and all the money. i had my will changed to have them give the money to my wife, which is you" he said coughing more. he held his trough as he began to breaht heavyly.

Winter gently weaved a bit of her life into him, saying softly, "But I won't have you. This house will feel empty to me without you here with me. I can't live without you Daniel... y-you know that..." She choked up on the last sentance, her eyes filled to the brim with tears. She gently put her lips to his for a second, not wanting him to leave.

Daniel chocked as he looked at her "winter why do you even need me? i see you suffer cause of me" he said gently. he trembled shivering as he continued to push the life back

Winter knew one thing: her mental strenght was larger. She used that advantage over him. She could feel his mental strenght fading and pushed hard to get the energy in him. It was like this when she did this for her sister, though she had just gotten a nasty cut. "Because without you, my life would be miserable. I would be curled up in a damp celler with my clothing ripped and someone coming down with a whip. If you left me, I would probably never see the light of day, because I would be sitting in here holding something of yours. You are all I have left."

Daniel smiled weakly at her "winter stop trying alright, im not going to give in alright.it means i have to go and that is that" he said. he took another deep breath shivereing more

Winter felt the tears drop from her face and hit him softly she tried wiping them away, but nothing would work. She could already imagine herself only 6 months in advance her stomach swollen with Daniels un-born child, herslef bent and crying by his empty grave. She hadn't told him about her being pregant, only because she had only just now found out about it. Yesterday night she had missed her time. Winter looked down at him and said softly, knowing that even this fact might not convince him to stay. "Daniel..." she choked, "I'm not just one person anymore... there me and then there's our baby.." She choked even more her tears streaming down her face.

Daniel looked up at her a bit suprise "what do you mean baby? yur pregnet why didn't you tell me sooner" he said screaming in pain as his back arched a bit. He fisted his hands trying to hold on a bit longer trying to find out the truth.

Winter looked at him and felt her heart breaking. He was in so much pain but refused when she tried to heal him. She said gently, "Yes. I'm pregant. I didn't tell you earlier because I just found out yesterday. Yesterday night in fact. I.. I just remembered about it when the baby kicked. Just now." She felt another small kick against her stomach and she smiled softly.
