Malodore pondered, then pushed away the King, Two, and Five. If it understood the rules, that seemed a decent enough strategy? Perhaps?

Aksaja frowned at his cards and shuffled them around a little bit. He . . . didn't really understand this game, but eventually he decided that it was probably a good idea to get rid of the lowest card. Eight of clubs was pushed back toward the middle of the table.

Cady stared at the cards.
This was a terrible game for a ghoul who couldn't read. She decided to keep the two whose dot patterns were similar, and ate the rest.

Cam was the only one who could eat cards. It slammed it's tiny chest with a tiny fist, and crawled onto the table, before climbing directly into Cady's mouth.
After fishing the cards out of her esophagus, it shimmied out and proceeded to get back to work. Amrita has a pair of Queens! Sexy Malodore has a pair of threes! Cady has a pair of nines! Aksaja has two pair! Jacks and Kings! Junko has a high card ace! Aksaja wins! 10 poker chips! Keep 'em away from the manticore, she'll eat them.(Sign-ups for the next game are now open!)

He still couldn’t find her. Merope was positive that he was going to meet her here. Was he supposed to pick her up? He had already spent most of the night looking for her. There was event a brief moment where he left the prom to check her dorm (his knocks weren’t answered). He checked his just in case she was there (nope). Their hangouts? Nothing. Nobody had seen her, and with a lack of anything else to do Merope returned to the prom dejected.
He had wandered towards the game tables, hanging back and watching the events going on. A game would certainly take his mind off of things. He stepped forward, approaching the recently cleared table.
Merope reached out with one clawed foot, hooking one leg of a chair before dropping down into it. The boil quickly moved his tail to one side, curling it as best as he could around himself as he scooted in. He didn’t make eye contact with the rest of the players, at at most gave Cam his best grimace before dropping his gaze to the table in front of him.

...What.
Cady didn't even have time to react- not that she would know what to do, Riley would probably be pretty mad if she accidentally ate her scareling. She just stared vacantly for a second at the triumphant little creature before promptly getting up and walking away.

Danny had meandered over to the game tables once again to play the slots and roulettes again, but she found something even better.
Poker.
Casually, she slid onto the stool by the poker table and said, "Hi there uhm ... thingy! I wanna play! Let's play."
Could you be any more spastic Danny?

Yes! Aksaja had no idea HOW, but he knew that he had won when Cam slid 10 poker chips at him across the table. That was more than he'd gotten from either the slots or the round thing in one go.
He wanted to play this game again. Totally. "Hey, I'm in again."

Junko watched as Cam began to crawl onto the table, about ready to reach across and chuck him away from Cady when she realized he wasn't actually coming up to grope her. He was coming up...to reach down her throat and take back the cards she had eaten.
Well, that was certainly special.
"Ah...I'll, um, play again." Junko blinked.

Hmm. Well, that hadn't gone too well... or too badly? A rather 'meh' showing, all told. Malodore stayed where it was, nodding at Cam solemnly.

Hrm. Malodore studied its cards again and discarded the Four and the Queen, fanning out the remaining cards and gazing at the other players in what it felt was a mysterious fashion.
Clearly, it was the best at the table at having a poker face.

Aksaja eyed his hand this time, and . . . well, there weren't many high cards. That was bad, right? Maybe. Or maybe not?
OH WHATEVER, let's just try something. Closing his eyes, Aksaja pulled out three cards at random and threw them into the middle of the table.

The soft hiss of shuffling cards made one ear-fin twitch. He waited for the cards to be dealt out before he took a peek, wincing at his hand. Great. Greeeeat.
Merope hissed to himself, pushing the four and jack back towards Cam.
