Luke looked down at his feet, feeling guilty for making her uncomfortable.

Lillie continued to take care of the plants. It seemed to be a talent of hers.

Vera practically danced as she ran to stop respectfully with a bowed head next to a tall man...probably about seven feet almost...who was obviously fit. Turning to smile with melted gold eyes, he laid a big hand on her bowed head. "You should know by now you don't have to do that..." he admonished her gently in Dragon, tousling her hair with a fond pointy-canine grin. His ears were slightly longer and slimmer than hers, more like the ears of an animal than an elf, and there was a slight ridge along his spine barely detectable underneath his loose working man's flannel shirt tucked into the jeans. "Sorry, old habit I guess, sir....um, Father." Rubbing the back of her head absently as he raised his elegantly angled eyebrows and opened his arms, Vera finally loosened up enough to grin and hug him with wild abandon, her arm muscle showing slightly as she managed to popped his back. "Whoah, you're coming along nicely to be able to pop this body's back! You're getting into your dragon half more comfortably, I see, aren't you? My, you really are a pride to our clan... Your next eldest may be coming here soon, if only to keep an eye on you if..." Vera looked up and frowned as he stopped talking, seeming nervous. Wiggling out of his absently-strong embrace, even with on arm, she took a serious stance as she knuckled her forehead in a respectful salute as she half-way knelt to the ground. "You had accepted me as a member of thine clan, whatever thy will is I shall follow it..." she stated formally in an old old old lost form of Dragon. Smiling in relief, the tall man helped her up from the painful-looking position, and kissed her on the forehead. "You are truly my daughter, regardless of your blood... You are betrothed, we just don't know exactly who outside of the person being here. Shiniak will come, probably within the next month, to see if the person is acceptable. He had been chosen as the Seer, you know? And, if you ever get to come back, you're to be the Mage..." Smiling at her various reactions; first to jump in confused surprise that was soon wiped off by her excited look, and then one of awe as she started to stutter. "B-b-but I-i'm n-not..... I'm... Are you sure?" she finally got out, eyes shining as she practically dance a few steps, the breeze around growing as her mood influenced the immediate area. Leaves danced in the wind she was making, and other figures almost seemed to come alive, beings from imagination and shuttered pasts many years and centuries ago...

(the whole thing's in dragon, older Dragon and then the formal OOOOOOOOLD Dragon, and Ozora will get to see the leaves and weird figures :3 hmmmm, hint hint barely-remembered past? lol CLUES lol)

Ozora stepped into the garden, seeing nearly all of it. He let out a chuckle as he stepped into view. "Azure." He commented with a grin. "Long time no see buddy." He added before baring his tiger teeth. "Haven't seen you since the last time the five of us got together." He added. Ozora made the wind stop moving. That was his power, the wind, unlike Azure who had the earth. "So this girl is your daughter." He added.

Vera spun around, blinking in surprise as she felt the wind die and felt the source being Ozora... Shrugging, she introduced them, all formal and correct as an interpreter while using Dragon, her adopted father eying her with amusement. Nodding at the teacher, the dragon man smiled a little as he looked at Ozora and spoke in an older dialect of dragon for Vera to translate.

I am afraid you have mistaken me, for while the Great Dragon of Life has been rumored to, and there are legends of, him taking a personal interest in my bloodline, I am not he. And alas, but Vera is not truly my daughter except by the heart and the Soul by which she had been accepted. he explained. Vera just nodded as she translated, adding her own bit. "I'm too pale, and completely the wrong colors... Just in case you hadn't noticed, which I'm sure you had," she continued, shrugging slightly as she gestured to her own slightly tanned-by-the-sun skin to the large man's own darker, almost cinnamon brown skin and red fiery bronze hair and golden eyes, while her own were a silvery grey with almost a blue-white silver head. Looking at him curiously, Vera looked from Ozora and her adopted father, her eyebrows raised in question as they had a quiet mental conversation. A few different expressions crossed the half-elf's face, mainly disappointment and hurt, then calm acceptance came smoothly after despite a small lingering of the pain there. Then she just rolled her eyes and snorted, used to the antics of one of the elder dragons the clan leader...her adopted father...talked about. "You would THINK she'd get her tail out of it's knot by now..." she murmured. "I swear, it's tied up around her..." At a warning glance from the foreboding man, Vera just raised her hands in innocence. "I didn't say it! I was just gonna say that I'm sure it's tied around her chin, honest!" Grinning, Vera turned to look down at Ryuu who had just come up with Greator, who bowed to the man but mainly ignored Ozora except when he flicked his tail a little close...but it promptly went away again, and Vera slapped his hide ineffectively with a frown as he commented something to her mentally. She missed his surprised, and then relieved face at her impertinence before he smiled at Ozora and said something. "He says it was nice meeting you, and that he wishes you good luck and wind in the wings of your search for the Great Dragon." Still looking a touch confused but accepting, she watched as her adopted father went into the building to track down the vice principle to talk about classes. "Hm..."

Ozora felt foolish that he had been wrong about the Azure dragon. Maybe it was the girl. She must have been from his line. The man sighed. "I guess I was wrong." He said as the leave dropped to the ground. He was a master of wind and his feelings affected how things happened. He then turned to Vera. "So miss, what is your name?" He asked with a smile.
PostPosted: Wed Dec 28, 2011 11:52 pm

Preoccupied, it took a moment fore Vera to respond. "Vera Silversoul-of-the-Winds...which is a bit of a mouthful, I know. But it's the name I was given when the winds started responding to me." A rustling made her glance over her shoulder at the dragon as it solidified into a three-dimensional being coming off from her right shoulder this time instead of moving across her back. "It's a lot easier to just do it that way..." she commented mildly, with hardly any irk in her voice though Greator eyed the smaller dragon and Ryuu just snorted at it. Saying something in her mind, Vera just snorted and shook her head as the living tattoo went off, not seeming bothered by it too much as long as she was relaxed enough the leaving didn't hurt her. "So, who's this Great Dragon? I apparently can't be told until I reach the appropriate dragon age, and I'm about a century off despite I aged early, mentally as well as physically. By clan law Father can't tell me, but I'm sure you're under no such restriction..." she asked, curious.

The girl seemed to be a curious kid and he liked kids who asked question. It always meant that they were trying to learn how to do the problems and task set in front of them. "The great dragon is only one of his names." Ozora started. "He has several names. Qinglong, Seiryuu, Cheongnyong, Thanh Long or my favorite Azure. Azure sounds so much more modern than the other ones." The man told her. He wasn't afraid to piss off Azure. It was a hobby of his. "He is a sign of the east, spring and guardian of the wood. It's believed that all eastern dragons come from him or the yellow dragon. But knowing him he probably knocked her up once or twice." The man told the girl adding in a chuckle. It was clear that he took gabs at the great dragon more than once or twice like they are something similar to friends or an old married couple

"Hmmm..." Vera commented, looking down to the ground in thought, one hand to her mouth. "That doesn't tell me enough..." she commented with a small frown at her animal companions, Greator just lazing about in the sun, Ryuu amusingly comfortable on top of the wyvern's back, draped lazily along his spine. "Research would be in order, I suppose. East, hm? Probably Asia then..." Sighing, she took her hand down to rub the back of her head. "At least I have a couple of names.... So the yellow dragon's female? Makes sense, I can see that..." she commented, turning to walk back to the library. She had twitched her face into a slightly disapproving look, making her seem prudish as Ozora talked about the dragon irreverently. The dragon tattoo just chuckled into his mind. I don't care about manners, my job should be clear; I am her Guardian. Nothing more, and as my duty is to her only in this regard, my manners are no concern of yours young cub especially as I will protect her from everything, even her own fiancee... With another amused chuckle, the dragon flipped along itself and flew over to where Vera had stopped to look at it over her shoulder, asking something with a frown as she held her hair back and opened the back of her shirt. Bright colors flashed as she turned her head, expecting it, and then the dragon was gone. Ryuu and Greator just trotted up past Ozora to join her, and she rested her hands on them, creating a balanced picture.

Ozora stopped. He wasn't out of breath because of running. He was out of breath because he was in shock that that little girl was his wife. Azure had gotten him this time. Next they meet he would have to Azure like his 'daddy' in revenge after all he would now be Ozora's Father-in-law. "Vera." He called out hoping that she would respond. "Vera." He called out moving around the garden. He noticed at the base of one of the trees she was curled up around her dragon companion. "Born dragon... why am I feeling sorry for a dragon." He mumbled. He walked over to the girl and leaned down and pulled her hair out of the way. "A wake dear princess your husband has arrived." He told her in a gentle voice. He didn't know who he felt more sorry for Vera or the dragon she held onto. "Don't cry dear princess. I'll protect you from the evils of the world."

Vera had run out into the gardens, huddled to herself as she fought to control the fear that had been hidden deep inside her mind from her past, and the emotions overwhelming her. Greator came and nuzzled her, and she moved to hug him, making sure to keep her grip light though she knew his scales would cut her before she would hurt him. Sniffling, she fell asleep a bit, from her long nights and the general excitements of the day. She didn't move when Ozora touched her hair, but only curled up tighter as she worked against the misery she was feeling. Greator nudged her, moving her body up and to the side from the gentle motion, and she woke up. "Huh...? Oh gods above I'm a mess..." she murmured, looking at her wet hands and the dirt on her knees and side. Greator grated something at her, and she turned wide eyes to Ozora. "I'm sorry, I didn't hear what you had said..." she commented, apparently calm again though her eyes still seemed frightened and distraught as she jumped at loud noises that were louder to her than normal. The guardian tattoo peered over her shoulder, flicking its tongue at Ozora and laughing as it made a comment to her. "What the f***?" she let out, surprised into her more frisky mental state, frowning at it as it just disappeared with another giggle. "Oh...hm. So, we're....betrothed?" she finally asked after a moment of staring to the side, then looking at Ozora with a mildly confused look. "That's gotta be a mess... I know roughly how old I am now...ish. But you're beginning of time, so... This must suck more for you, huh?" she asked, placing her chin on her crossed arms on her raised knees, Ryuu curling up around her feet and concealing most of her legs, Greator's big head on top of hers as they all looked at him. Her voice was quiet, still a bit shaky as she was obviously still ready to have emotional issues....but was holding it together, barely, for him.

Ozora laughed at her and smiled before still down on the ground next to her. He was a typical guy with his legs spread out. "I feel sorry for you. You have to deal with half a dozen step-children who are older than you." He pointed out. He did have lovers in the past and he knew that he had at least that many children if not more. "The Tiger clan isn't like the Azure clan. We're more spread out and don't know where everyone is. I could easily have more children than six." He told her about his family. He let his children do as they pleased. "You know we'll have to have some form of a ceremony. We could get Azure to get his a** back here and marry us properly or we could to the 'I slept with you now your my wife' old fashion way." Ozora wasn't sure if he wanted to be a father again and the old fashion was wasn't as pleasing.
