╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ Well, a glass of blood was literally being pushed at him, how was Casper supposed to resist that!? He took the glass and drained it, with a slight amount of difficultly as his fangs were...in the way, but nonetheless he drank that blood fast! Casper's tongue darted from behind his lips to wipe away the blood surrounding the edges of his mouth. Well, he felt much better now; the actually feeling and taste of blood running down his throat made focusing much easier.
"You're an awful liar." Well, Casper was most certainly observant now! "If you really don't want to talk about it, it's fine." He said as he poured himself another glass of the thick scarlet liquid. Casper himself didn't like talking about what he was feeling, and he knew he wouldn't want someone to pry into his emotions, and so he would make sure he treated Luna the way he'd want to be treated.

Luna frowned at him and sighed, shrugging her shoulders. She knew she was a terrible liar, never claimed to be good at it. Hell the only lying she was good at was making Devonshire think she'd forgiven him, and she wasn't even sure how good she was at that either. But she didn't want to talk about it, a lot didn't. She knew better than to expose herself and her feelings to this man. She'd watched him, how he acted, interacted with the few he'd been around and how he interacted with her in the entire 2 months they had been living together. She knew better and she knew that would only lead to her hurting. And because she knew these things, she wasn't going to press it, she was going to hide them as best she could until hiding them became second nature to her. Just like hiding the bruises from her friends, hiding the contempt in her eyes from Theron, hiding the pain from losing her child... she would hide her feelings from Casper and continue on with her life. However much was left now anyways. "No, I don't want to talk about it." she said softly.

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ "Okay" he said quietly before taking the glass to his lips. He downed the blood in a few seconds and put the glass back on the counter. "I think-nevermind." He didn't want to talk either. He was nervous, but only in the way Casper could be. He'd been detached from reality for, years. He'd always been present, always alert, definitely knowledgeable about, everything, he just, was detached from humanity, even when he was, human. He wasn't in touch with emotions, though he knew how to manipulate them, and if there was a way he was supposed to react, a way anybody was supposed to react, Casper didn't react properly. He got upset, but only at extremely opposite levels. Everything he lived by, his "code" was just that, a code, it wasn't necessarily his beliefs. Sure he had played around with the rules, had tweaked things, had made them more efficient, but efficient wasn't always better. He was nervous, but he was nervous Lavinia would show up, not that people were in danger. He was nervous that she would hurt people he cared about, but he was nervous more so, that he'd have to go rescue them and face Lavinia. Casper, he wasn't afraid of Lavinia, he didn't think so at least, but just the thought of her made his blood boil, which was so odd seeing as he didn't have a single ounce of body heat.
He wasn't afraid of death either. Technically speaking, he was already dead, so the hard part was over with, but, he wasn't sure he was even afraid of flat out death. He wasn't happy, he had never really been happy. So what did he have to lose? He wouldn't miss anyone, but, maybe he'd have a few regrets. He was sure he'd have a few regrets.
"Luna, I'm going to bed." He said, his fangs sinking back into his gums. When he slept, he was as dead as he could get he supposed. He didn't move around, he didn't dream, no vampire did. That was the most peace he could get.
Casper turned his heel without so much as a word, and silently, walked to the bedroom.

Luna looked at Casper as he drank his glass of blood and sighed softly, pouring her own glass and drinking it within two swallows. It would seem the both of them weren't in a talking mood tonight. Not that Casper ever was in a talkative mood and Luna grimaced internally. Why did she do this? Why did she go and make a fool out of herself by being stupid and falling for people who obviously weren't good for her. Hell, Casper wasn't even good for himself. It didn't change how she felt about the man, but it made her dislike herself just a little more, especially knowing he would never, ever, return her feelings. She sighed and shook her head, looking up as Casper stood abruptly and announced he was going to bed.
Normally Luna would have darted up after him, inquiring on if he was alright. After he would say he was fine, she would go on worrying and pestering him till he fell asleep and she was sure he wasn't going to try any suicide attempts, she would then fall asleep next to the man and may or not have woken up half wrapped around him. Not tonight though. Luna didn't jump up after him, she turned and put the pitcher back in the fridge. She didn't inquire if he was alright. She told him "Goodnight then Casper. Sleep well." and she wasn't going to watch him till he fell asleep. Luna was sleeping on the couch tonight, she couldn't take waking up, hell even going asleep next to him at this point. She was really hurting on the inside, she was hurt and she was angry all at the same time. Angry at herself... mostly angry at that ******** girl.... She shook her head and walked out into the hallway, hearing the bedroom door closing and making her way slowly up the stairs. Maybe not the couch, but she'd be sleeping in Casper's room instead. She sighed and stripped herself of her shirt and pants, laying down in just her undergarments. It wouldn't matter if he tried anything while she wasn't there, she'd hear it, cause she wasn't getting any sleep tonight. That was a guarantee.

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ Casper had basically dropped dead in the first five minutes of lying down. When he was extremely stressed out, almost unbearably so, it was easier for him to fall asleep...which only added to how weird Casper really was. He didn't know how long he had been out, and at first, Casper didn't realize that he was having a dream; he thought that maybe, it was a reality.
Lavinia was next to him, watching him. And Casper, well in his dream, he was just sort of standing there. He felt, satisfied, something he hadn't felt in a while. He was almost happy, which was odd seeing as Lavinia was right there in the open. He turned around, catching the ancient vampiress' gaze, and when she smiled, he fangs ejected straight from her gums. She was quiet, as if words didn't need to be said, and all she did, was point. Casper followed her finger, looking to his right. She was pointing, to a mirror? But vampires couldn't see their reflections... Casper moved forward, closer and closer to the mirror. When he got there, instead of seeing an empty, lifeless room, Casper saw himself, only he was covered in blood. His eyes were red, glowing. His shirt was drenched in a crimson, and his mouth and hands were were sticky and painted. The gears in his head started to turn and lock together and suddenly it hit him. He could see himself, because, because he must have slaughtered over teen people and drained them completely. Casper spun around, his dead heart clenching. The room was destroyed. He couldn't believe that he had done this. The blue walls were splattered red, the carpeting was soaked through and there he was, the culprit. Casper's eyes darted around wildly. Who had he killed, who had he killed? And then he saw them, the bodies. The bodies of the very people who had been helping him. Hid grandmother, mangled, Sarah, ripped apart, Chris, Even, even Luna, all of them, dead, his victims. And there was Lavinia, motionless and smiling by his side.
Casper popped up from his motionless position on the bed. He gripped his hair, heaving. Had that, had that really been a dream!? Casper looked down at his hands, they were clean. He looked around the room, everything was clean. What time was it? And, had he really just had a dream!? He hadn't dreamt anything since being turned, not a single thing...and now, he had just had...that dream? Casper stepped out of bed and walked towards the mirror in the bathroom. Nothing, he couldn't' see himself at all...good. But still, that dream, the fact that he had had a dream at all, it must have meant something. Was it a premonition?! Casper hoped to God it wasn't.
"Luna." He said quietly stepping out into the hall. "Luna!"

Luna, despite her earlier thoughts, had fallen asleep. Not where she had planned, but asleep she was. After she'd made sure that Casper was sleeping, she'd went down to the lab to work on her latest project. It wasn't the hunter dart but something a bit similar that had been picked up by one of the others and she was now passed out in front of her microscope, the weaponry still in her hand from where she had been looking at it. Sure, it probably wasn't the best idea to doze off with something like that nearby, but she couldn't keep her eyes open any longer. She had strict schedule and she was NOT used to breaking it. Down in the basement, she hadn't heard Casper calling for her, hell she didn't even know the male was awake. You couldn't hear a damn thing down here anyways.

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ No answer? Had Luna perhaps fallen asleep? Well that was totally possible. Casper frowned. He was completely unnerved from his dream. He'd never felt so paranoid in his life...not to mention that was the first time he had dreamed since he had died. Casper took a deep breath to calm himself down. The feeling of air running through his body and filling his lungs was relaxing, no matter how useless it was. He lifted his nose into the air, and took a quick sniff to catch the scent of his surroundings. He picked up Luna's scent and followed it down the stairs into the laboratory. Casper waited silently in one of the doorways. He was sort of apprehensive, and he didn't know why. He was nervous, and unsure, and biting his lip. Casper stepped in soundlessly and raised and eyebrow upon seeing Luna...asleep. Oh, well at least she was---holding a toxic instrument! Without thinking Casper swiftly plucked the tiny needle from her hand and set it far from them on the table. The pin point of that thing was incredibly lethal, and seeing as neither one of them was an ancient, they'd be killed almost immediately by it. Casper sighed, pulling up a spinny chair and sitting in it. He slid next to Luna, and looked at her with a sort of concerned expression. They were in a bad spot, he was in a bad spot. And everything would spiral out of control, his dream was practically proof. Something was going to happen, he was sure of it. Casper was a great vampire hunter, he was the best one out there, but that didn't mean he could face one of the most powerful vampires in existence along with her flock of vampire followers. Lavina would target people he cared about, and Casper had already gotten rid of Lavinia's mate so now there wasn't even a strategy he could use. Killing ancient vampires wasn't easy. They were more vicious, more brutal than the vampire of today. They were born in a time where being a vampire meant being an animal, and that meant gaining territory. Lavinia was brains behind Ambrosios, and together, (Casper knew from history books) they had conquered an unbelievable amount of territory using a technique that was as dead as the Latin language. There were what, three, maybe four vampires, in the world, that had been a part of the era of conquest and had slaughtered hundreds of their own? How was Casper supposed to fight Lavina as a vampire when he was blind to this knowledge? Luna had Devonshire, and Casper had Luna, but Devonshire wasn't even alive to see vampires fight for the Roman territory-that was even before the Renaissance! Way before the Middle Ages! Unless, what if, Devonshire had friends? What if they could help? But who the hell would want to help Casper St. Cloud!? Well...maybe not him, but Devonshire? Who wouldn't mind helping Devonshire, that perhaps wasn't too keen on Lavinia?
Casper didn't have a clue. But what did he have to lose?
"Luna." He said softly, nudging the girl. "Luna, I need to talk to you."

Luna had been sleeping, dead dead dead dreamless sleep. Still and cold as a corpse as usual before she was nudged by Casper, jerking and sending herself onto the floor from her stool, half away eyes darting around, hand grabbing for something to defend herself instinctively, thrust back into the past to being awoken by a punch to the face, expression fearful before she finally got a grip and figured out where she was deep breath being taken though it wasn't necessary and she sighed, looking up at the male and rubbing her eyes. "What."

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ Casper stood there awkwardly not really sure how to ask for help. He wasn't good at asking for help, he was good at giving it-so understandably, Casper looked like a dumbass. "Hi" Oh wow, very smooth.
The male vampire sat down on the edge of the bed and sighed. "Luna I-" He pursed his lips and turned his gaze away from the blonde before letting his focus wander to her once again. "There's no way I can fight Lavinia alone." He had to get real now. He wasn't the only person in danger anymore and he wasn't a hunter anymore. He wasn't a hunter anymore. People didn't have a responsibility to die because of their cause for him-that lifestyle was over. Instead of protecting strangers he had to actually protect the people closest to him, which made things substantially harder. He had Sarah, and Luna and his grandmother and they all needed protecting from an enemy so powerful even Casper had fallen to it. He wasn't invincible despite previously believing he was and he didn't want the people who-who loved him, to get hurt. He needed help and he needed it fast. They all did.
"She's-she's merciless and-Luna I don't want you to get hurt. Or-or my grandmother or people like Sarah." He had included all his loved ones in his sentence, but Luna had sneaked her way into being the first person on his mind. Perhaps Luna was more important to him than he let on.
"I need-I need your help." Oh man, this was going to hurt his pride. He was going to ask vampires for help, and not the fluffy Luna kind of vampires! "Lavinia isn't like vampires of today. She still has that ancient edge-and-and I don't know how to fight that." He bit his lip. "I don't want to have to ask you to do this, but, but I don't have a choice. I know he won't help me, but he'll help you Luna. I need you to see if Devonshire has any ancient friends that wouldn't mind offing Lavinia-and I need you to convince Devonshire to get an ancient to actually help us."

Luna blinked a bit more, shaking her head and sitting up more from her spot on the floor, head tilted to the side as she watched and listened to Casper talk. How... how worried was he, if he was asking for help. Sure she hadn't know Casper all that long but this was out of the norm for him and her level of worry about the whole situation went up a notch.
Call Theron... she frowned. He'd taken her phone and yelled at her yesterday for calling him, no doubt Theron was already on his way here regardless of her cut off call. Actually because of the abruptly cut off call it was a bit surprising the male wasn't here already. Protecting his interests. She scowled inwardly at the thought and gave another small shake of her head, picking herself up off the floor and looking around for the needle she had been holding now that she remembered it, checking her hand for any tell tale signs of pin pricks before spotting it on the table and giving another sigh.
"He should be on his way already, after you broke our call off yesterday. I'll give him a call to make sure though." she said with a slow nod and a stretch, wincing at all the kinked up muscles that had appeared from sleeping on her desk, worried frown present on her face though much more than just Lavinia was causing it. "The blood is in the downstairs fridge if you finished off the other pitcher." she said slowly, making her way towards the door of the basement "I'm going to call Theron and then take a shower." she said with another sigh, probably letting on how bothered she was but she was almost starting not to care at this point, "I'll ask him about the ancient thing, tell him I'm worried about him getting hurt, all that jazz...." she said as she exited the room.

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ Oh that was right, Luna wasn't happy with him.
Casper's mind was...hectic. He couldn't keep the day's events in order, nor could he remember some of them. He hadn't realized Luna would stay...would stay like this. She was saying she'd go along with his plan and help him, but her tone made it sound like she really wanted nothing to do with him. And how could Casper blame her? Ever since he's showed up he'd caused he problems. She'd had to deal with his constant suicide attempts, and his freak outs. Not to mention he'd acted like a complete psycho on a few occasions. The worst element to it all however, was that he was putting Luna in danger instead of rewarding her for taking him in!
Casper chattered his teeth. He didn't like their dynamic right now, not at all. This wasn't a unit anymore, he wasn't Luna's superior, but they were still, together. And in times of danger and panic, being a team was important. Tensions between he and Luna were going to make everything worse.
Casper appeared beside Luna as she exited the room. This vampire speed was pretty great even if it was a sign Casper had basically crossed over to the dark side. "Luna I don't need blood or-or your connections." Well actually Casper really needed both those things but he was trying to make a point. "I just-I just need you to help me, like you've been doing." Casper sighed. "I'm not a good vampire. I have no idea what I'm doing in this body and mentally I'm a wreck-I know that. And I know how much work I am, but I also know you've never let it get to you and that no matter what s**t I pulled you stuck by me and took care of me. I don't know how to say thank you the right way because I came from a place where thank you's weren't said because helping out was required. Everyone just did things for me and it was expected of them, so I don't know how to say thank you to you when you deserve it. I'm-I'm trying Luna, but it's hard. There's too much going on right now for me to try and be a-be a person. All I can think about it death and how powerless I am. I'm putting so many people in danger, but Lavinia's not going to stop no matter what happens. I can't be a better Casper-a vampire Casper that's your friend and not a burden until Lavinia is gone."

Luna sighed again, pausing as he spoke and listening to what he said, expression betraying nothing of the thoughts running through her mind. She didn't want a thank you. Had never expected one, never wanted one, never needed one. She helped him because she liked to help at first, and now she helped him because she cared about him, cared a great deal about him. And it had never been Casper lack of visible gratitude for her actions, none of that mattered to her. It was the theoretical empty space that she had so foolishly hoped for him to fill for her, selfishly and stupidly thought that he could maybe make her feel whole again. She didn't even know why, it was foolish, after only 2 months with the male to feel like that about him, to feel it so strongly. So much effort and time and attention had been put into taking care of the male that she could tell herself that was why, could say that it was because she was harboring motherly feelings for him but it would be stupid and put her in denial if she called them that because it may have started like that but it certainly wasn't motherly now. Stupid, ridiculous to feel something after only 2 months... stupid to get upset about feelings not returned. What did she expect? She had expected too much, set her hopes too high and been rightfully let down for her foolishness! Stupid little girl with delusions of love was all she was and she looked back to Casper, plastering that smile on her face that was so often there, hand reached out to put on his shoulder. She'd help him still, she'd never planned on stoping helping him and she made another resolve not to bring it up again, to bury these feelings deep like she had done all her other feelings. They would most likely consume her one day but for now she would ignore them and block them out, go back to the caring little "fluff" that she was. "It's okay Casper. You don't have to say thank you, I know you appreciate it. Really, I'm just sore from sleeping on the desk and worried about Lavina. I haven't gotten tired of helping you, I don't think that's possible." she reassured him, same smile still on her face as she turned and made her way up the stairs.

╔═══════════════╗ иσт єχα¢тℓу тнє fяιєи∂ℓу gнσѕт ╚═══════════════╝ Despite the smile and the assurances, Casper was having a hard time believing everything was okay between Luna and him. Luna just wasn't striking him as sincere, but it probably wasn't wise to pick at it right now when everything was so crucial. "Okay" He said softly, sort of at a loss. "Just-just keep me posted on what's happening with Devonshire. We can talk about, anything, after we get a handle on the situation." Casper was an awkward fellow when he didn't know how to address a situation. He wasn't really a ladies man so to speak. Dating around and talking to girls wasn't really a Casper St.Clair thing to do. Casper spent his free time in laboratories, not in clubs. He didn't know how to read women and yeah, it was a major flaw to his list of imperfections, but it wasn't going away. He had no clue what Luna felt for him, nor was he in the right state of mind to realize it. He had too much going on to fall in love! He couldn't be about to die and fall in love, that was too much at once.
Casper stayed behind as Luna walked up the stairs to grab that pitcher of blood she had mentioned but followed soon after. He supposed he'd take her up on her offer and help himself. Being a newborn was a pain in the a** when it came to keeping himself properly nourished. He felt like all he did was drink blood! So Casper went to the kitchen and poured himself a glass of the goopy liquid. Ugh, cold blood. It wasn't as good as warm, fresh blood. It was funny-Casper had only had blood from a human once, but he still remembered exactly what it tasted like. It was hard to keep his mind off of hunting for prey when his thoughts wandered off to the time he had killed that homeless man in the park. Casper felt guilty, of course he felt guilty, and suicidal, but it also made him feel...vicious. He'd liked feeling the heartbeat get slower and slower, and he'd liked the slight struggling against his body. Not to mention how wonderfully the blood had flowed into his mouth instead of him having to gulp it down. It was a totally different experience, a delicious and wonderful experience.
Casper blinked. He had made a dent in the granite counter....uh oh. He hadn't even realized what he was thinking about...or how much of an affect it had had on him. How could he think that had been wonderful!? It had been disgusting and vile and evil. He couldn't fall out of the range of morality with Lavinia after him-he couldn't join her like he had in his dream. But blood was so tempting-so so so so so tempting. But he couldn't ******** it up. Luna had managed and so would he! Casper but the chilled crimson filled glass to his lips and tipped his head so the blood slid down his throat and into his veins. It wasn't the same, but it would do. It at least separated him from monsters like Lavinia and the monsters he was asking to help defeat her.

Luna nodded and continued her way up the stairs. Through the kitchen and then up to her office she walked in and shut the door behind her, grabbing her cell phone again and sighing a bit, flipping it open to dial the number she needed to, sinking down in her chair she listened to it ring... once, twice... three times, she wondered why he wasn't answering when a voice picked up at the forth ring, apologizing for taking so long, his phone had gotten stuck in his pocket. "Are you on your way?" she asked swallowing and making her voice sound scared, not that it was that hard because Luna really was scared about all this.... "No Theron, he's a newborn you honestly expect him to be able to go up against the likes of Lavinia?" she told him and making it seem like she very much needed the man here, which she supposed they did. "But you're on your way then?" she gave a sigh at the answer, leaning her head back against the headrest of her chair. "What about you though? You aren't as old as Lavinia is, do you have help... no- Theron I'm not- yes Casper brought the fact up and it has me worried about you coming here to help if you can't defend yourself against her because of some "ancient fighting technic" or whatever!" she shook her head again and grit her teeth together, "I don't want you getting torn up because of me! ... You'll call some people then? Alright. You're still on your way here right? Alright. See you in a bit then, thank you Theron. Goodbye." she let the phone close with a click and gave another shake of her head and a sigh, face perking up instantly as she opened the office door and headed towards the bedroom to go take her shower.
