Embergaze: ...did we win...?
Me: *facepaw* ))
[Embergaze panted heavily, watching the scene pass before him with wide eyes. He licked his lips, narrowing his eyes. The bird carried the other bird off. He wasn's sure what had just happened.
Did I kill it? he thought incredulously. I didn't mean to...
Embergaze felt a bit helpless. He had only meant to injure the bird...! He thought of the other bird, feeling so sad about being alone. He felt like he could sympathize with it. Despite his detachment from teh Clan, he really didn't want to be alone either...
He shook his head.
He limped over to Valorkit, sniffing her a bit and licking her wounds. He looked around for Shadekit, too.]
"Is everyone okay?" he asked in a hoarse voice.

Shadekit StarClan made me born for a reason, only to bring bright shades of colour everday...to my loved ones.
_________________________________________________________ [Shadekit's innocent eyes were in a big frown, while his non-full grown teeth were shown through the mouse.] "I'll take you on! I'll take a piece of you and feed it to the-" Shadekit stopped himself from talking as he heard the terrifying cry from the eagle. [Shadekit's eyes weren't in a frown, instead in a large, green fearful look.] "Um...mister falcon...I was only kidding...." Shadekit murmered. [Shadekit's little body was shrinked together, his fur spiked out in fear. Shadekit yelped in pain as he felt the sudden and harsh contact from the eagle. He whimpered in fear, his eyes shut tight. Suddenly, he felt himself being hit once more, as his green eyes grew wide. Shadekit's small body, only the size of the eagle's face, being tossed around in the sky. With his small teeth, Shadekit held a firm grip on the mouse, not letting it go. The amused tone of the eagle caused Shadekit's blood to boil in anger, as a flashback came in his mind.]
"I'll protect you Valorkit!" Shadekit promised, before leaving for the adventure.
"I'll protect you too, Shadekit! While you protect me!" Valorkit said, along with her cute giggle.
[Shadekit then opened his eyes, feelings his head fill with pain as he is being hit once more. He then growled at the eagle, with his small teeth showing through the mouse's flesh. Once he was tossed once more, Shadekit unshed his claws while in air. With much effort he used his claws to try and hit the eagle, but missed the first time. When he was tossed once more into the clear air, he showed great anger in his green eyes.] "You stupid chicken!" Shadekit growled loudly through the mouse, as he used his tiny claws to hit and scratch the eagle on his hard beak. Suddenly Shadekit then landed on the ground, with his mouth clenched on the mouse. The eagles we're now gone. He then turned to Embergaze, with amazed eyes. Shadekit nodded with shiny and joyous eyes.] "Yes Embergaze, i'm fine! But that was amazing!! You should've seen the way you hit that eagle with your claws and the way you didn't even shed a tear when you were dragged across the ground!! Wow can you teach me that one day?!" Shadekit cheered, his eyes shining with amazement.

"To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze let out a hoarse mrrowl of laughter, shaking his head.]
"It's not exactly something Icemane tried to teach me," he said, fondly remembering his old mentor, "but I'll try to show you one day."
[He nodded at the kit, feeling a bit tired. He smiled, but felt a sharp pain in his leg. He sat down and stretched his leg out, inspecting a deep scar ripped into his thigh. He licked it gingerly, wincing a bit in pain, and sighed.]
"Let's go back to camp before the rest of them come back. Do you think you can walk home?" he asked.
For the first time, he noticed the mouse in the kit's jaws and asked curiously, "Why are you holding a mouse?"

_________________________________________________________ [The kit's eyes shined with amazement.] "Icemane must've been a good mentor!" Shadekit mewed with such joy. [Shadekit nodded with enthusiasm, feeling grateful that he met Embergaze.] "Yes mister! I can walk home and be strong just like you!" Shadekit mewed strongly. [His ears instantly perked up as Embergaze mentioned the mouse. Shadekit's pupil moved downwards, focusing on the warned out mouse clenched in his tiny fangs.] "Oh this?" he asked, focusing his bright green gaze up at Embergaze. "This is my first catch, Embergaze. Instead of me eating this prey, I want mama to enjoy it!" Shadekit mewed with enthusiasm. [He then got up, clenching onto the mouse and smiling up at Embergaze proudly.] "Let's go home! I don't want mama to get worried.." Shadekit mewed. [He then looked down at the hole with a smile.] "Swallowkit and Siegekit! We're going home without ya!" Shadekit teased. [Shadekit slowly made his way over to Valorkit and smiled at her warmly, noticing her paws all dusty. His green gaze met her bright blue ones.] "Valorkit, I hope your okay." Shadekit said. "I also don't want your pretty fur to get all dusty..." Shadekit said. [He then ducked his head and went right under Valorkit, causing her to go right on his back. He picked her up with ease, due to the size difference on their body. He then started to walk and looked up at Embergaze.] "Lead the way, hero!" Shadekit mewed, with brightness in his eyes.

"To live is to slowly be born."_____________________________Embergaze_____________________________[Embergaze blinked a bit impressedly at the catch.]
"Good catch," he praised.
[He had caught a mouse as a kitten, too, though it was on accident. He had cried when he realized it was dead...he only meant to play with it, not hurt it. He pushed the thought to the back of his head. He watched the kit flirt with Valorkit, feeling a twinge of emotion. Wow...already he has the hots for another cat, he thought cheerfully.
The image of Mapleleaf's soft eyes flashed through his mind, and he felt a flush of heat. He quickly buried the thought in the back of his mind, standing and padding forward.
When the kit called him a hero, however, he stopped.]
"...I'm no hero..." he muttered to himself, his eyes clouding with pain.
[He did not linger there, however. He started forward once again, heading for home.
I can't wait to go home, he thought fervishly. I haven't left camp in so long! I feel a bit naked out here. I can't wait to return...
He paused for a moment to catch a rabbit, easily killing it before it spotted him. Dragging his catch with him, he headed with the kits toward the Clan.]

_________________________________________________________ [Shadekit smiled up at Embergaze with pride.] "Really?! I bet your first prey was bigger than mine Embergaze! Your probab-" Shadekit bit his tongue to stop himself from talking, as Embergaze disagreed with his remark. [Shadekit's left ear twitched wiith puzzlement, as he watched the warrior make his way back to camp.] "But-" [He then stopped himself, as he heard his brother's rude comment. Shadekit glared at his brother with such great anger.] "You stupid mouse brain! Your as slow as a elderly turtle!" Shadekit growled at his brother. [He then looked back at Valorkit with bright, happy green eyes.] "I'm going to run fast! Hold on tight!" Shadekit warned with a happy tone. [He then smiled at his sister, signalling her to come back to camp. Shadekit then dashed past Embergaze and met up with his brother, trying to run past him. The dusty mouse dangling from Shadekit's mouth seemed to be an unpleasant meal.]

(( this is far of in a secret location. No one is to find them, this is their sanctuary, ok smile ))
[The birds returned to their dusty canon and into the dark caves. Talon cursed quietly to himself. Sirin placed Spadestripe down on the ground of the cave that opened out to the height cannon, the wind blowing past the entrance making a hollow howling noise as it overlooked the land. Splint gently laid Blade's bloody body down on the cold stone floor as Fester, the doctor entered the cave. Once he entered Talon snapped harshly at him.] "We were so close Fester! SO CLOSE!!! You pathetic excuse for a doctor!! You couldn't heal him without your stupid medicines!!"
[Fester calmly turned to him.] "Im sorry Talon, he was dieing. Its my duty to keep us all safe." [Talon slashed his hooked claws across the bird's face, leaving a scar.] "We could have returned back to the glory cannon if it wernt for your little announcement!!! If you do that again i will kill you!!!" [Fester said nothing, taking the hit silently.Once talon left he said nothing and immediately turned to Blade and started to apply medicines and keep his breathing steady. Sirin watched and stepped over to the doctor, now dripping some blood.]
"Dont worry Fester, he is just upset... im sure you will be fine." [She said, trying to reassure the half blinded doctor.] "Sirin, can you go get me some maple leaves to cover his wounds? I will also need some snake venom, a turtle's shell and the fur of a rabbit." [She dipped her head.] "Alright, what do i do about the cat?" [Fester did not turn to face her, focusing on Blade.] "Leave her hear, i will deal with her later. Until now she cannot escape, she cant fly." [Sirin nodded and flew off, leaving them in the dark.]

[Fester continued to work feverishly on the dieing bird.] "I didnt plan on keeping you too long, but it would seem an event i dint foresee happened. I will have to deal with you later. You posses a quality in cats i have only been able to study afar. As long as you are with me no harm will come of you, unless Talon orders it of course. I am not the strongest one her afterall" [He said calmly finishing the bandaging on the bloody eagle.] "How long have you been pregnant? Are you expecting soon?" [he said off topic. as if they were having a casual conversion.]

[Fester flinched as she approached him on his blind side. He turned and looked at Spadestripe with confusion from his one good eye.] "Did you say you want to help? Well, i guess. I could use all the help i can get. go over there and get those seeds, it should relive his pain. im going to have to use some spider web to pull him back together and some twigs to keep his neck strait." [Fester turned back to Blade and cleaned up the extra blood that continued to seep out.] I cant believe she offered to help, especially after we attacked her clan! what an odd cat.

[Fester snickered at her correction on how cobwebs work.] "Not if you have enough." [He took the wad of cobweb and strung them out and together to make a loosely held together string. he used it to tie together the maple leaves and keep them in place over the wounds.] "Being trapped in a dusty old cannon we have plenty of cob web." [Once he had finished making his cast with cobweb, leaves and twigs he turned to look at her.] "My interest in pregnant cats? I notice that you cats seem to multiply on certain schedules. Cat births are different from birds. I hope that if i can better understand the queens then i can better understand the structure of a cat's life cycle from birth to death. I already understand how they die. You see, i am more than just a doctor, it is also my job to study the pray." [He said in a matter of fact way. ] "it was also that or have Sirin kill you in that death dive of hers."
