Ranka blinked, and glanced about, they were alone after all. Tilting her head slightly, she did nod, thinking that over. They were? They were happy with being stagnant and still? This was a concept she would have to learn to accept more.
As he admitted that to her, she felt happy, yet she was blushing. She gave his hand a small squeeze, an unconscious gesture that meant to say she felt the same, starting to walk towards some of the trees nearby. She took a seat beneath on, leaning her back against the large trunk, looking up to the moon. This was true, she already felt comfortable under the moon, but she was even more so with him there. "I am... used to being busy all the time. Both conscious and sub-consciously amongst other levels of awareness. To be able to sit and relax is... different." She admitted, removing her eye-patch so she could look at him with both eyes rather than just one. Though, she did debate keeping it on since it always glowed faintly at night. She wasn't in trouble or anything, it was just clearer that various parts of herself were off taking care of her duties.

Seeing Ranka blush always made him smile. It was something she did often now, or so it seemed. He was able to feel more like himself around her. The feeling he seemed to get from her, it reminded of him way back when with his teachers. He could always feel calm with Ranka around. As the two of them started to walk hand in hand, Seiji let his eyes lift to the night sky, just admiring it for a moment. Reaching the tree, Seiji sat as well, next to Ranka.
Turning his neck, Seiji listened, wondering what this must be like for here then. "I imagine the two of you are usually pretty busy. But it's good not to overwork yourself. If that's ever possible." Though it seemed like at least for the moment it was. "They say too much of one thing isn't good. A well deserved rest can do a lot of good for you if you can afford it." He was hoping their time together wouldn't upset these Elders. Spending time with Ranka was too much fun. "Especially if you can spend some time alone with that special someone."

Looking up to him, part of her worried he would be disoriented by seeing the one eye glowing like that, but then again, she was mostly paying attention to what he was saying. Ranka wasn't entirely sure why, but she chuckled a little, lowering her eyes to the grass. "It's what we were made to do. I don't think either of us really knows what it's like to relax. Well... Sheryl might." She mused, blinking at the prospect of her getting a lot of rest. It seemed so.... alien.
Smiling softly, she leaned against him, her head upon his shoulder. She felt... safer there. It was hard to explain. She almost said something, but she remembered what had happened earlier so she didn't say it or think it, instead snuggling closer to him. She was content. She almost didn't know what it was, but she could recall other times when she felt like this and she liked it. "I wonder what it's like to truly not be doing anything other than resting... I have always had to split myself in a way in order to handle all of those who die and be able to greet them. Even while sleeping. I bet it's nice." She murmured, closing her eyes as she tried to picture that. She felt warm as she rested against him, at least part of her did, soothing her. She now hated feeling as cold as she did all the time, or at the very least she did not enjoy it.

By now, Seiji was used to seeing odd things. Living his whole life travelling, he'd seen some things that were far beyond ordinary. The slightly glowing seal wasn't something that was going to bother him. He wasn't going to say anything either, it wasn't really a point of interest for him. The fact that he was getting to spend more time alone with her was more the main point for him. "Well, relaxing isn't something you really need to try for. It should just come naturally if you can."
Feeling Ranka lean in, Seiji lifted an arm, allowing her to move even closer, and let his arm close around her, laying gently on her shoulder. "Well...I've never had anything like that before, so I can't really say. When I sleep, unless I'm dreaming, it's completely blank. There's nothing but darkness." It was hard to imagine splitting your conciousness up into several entities and using them while letting your body rest. It sounded like it would make you more tired if anything. "One instant, you're drifting off into unconciousness, then the next instant you're waking up feeling more refreshed and hours have passed. Even if you can't rest like that...you can still relax. I'll help if I can." Seiji added the last bit in as he laid his head against hers as he had done in the cafeteria, his arm keeping her nice and close.

It was supposed to be... natural? This made her wonder if the Elder's had changed that about her too. Was she able to relax before? She could guess the reason why she didn't really know how to now was because they would rather she be focused upon what she should be doing.
As he lowered his arm around her shoulders, she felt that security grow, finding herself not wanting to have to move from the spot. It was fascinating trying to picture what he was describing, the concept still remaining alien in her mind. Refreshed.... She blinked, she had no idea what that felt like. "I... I don't know what this 'refreshed' feeling is like." She murmured softly, lowering her gaze to her lap. "I suppose a good way to explain how I sleep is it's akin to meditation. I go to sleep, I wake up, I continue doing what I'm supposed to be doing with more attention. I don't send out as many "me's" when I'm resting." She elaborated more, not entirely sure why she found a hand smoothing out her skirt absentmindedly. "If you can somehow help me, I welcome it."

Learning and teaching didn't really seem to be a chore with Ranka. These little sessions of theirs made it easy to learn more about her. At the same time, he could also help her, or try to help, figure out whatever was puzzling her. It was advantageous to the both of them. Anyone else it would probably have been a bit of a pain to try and teach them.
"Okay...refreshed is...." Once more, Seiji thought on it trying to find the right words. "Well, I guess that would be the difference. People usually sleep at night, rather then meditating. When we sleep, our bodies rest and restore the energy we used up. It gets rid of any fatigue. Then, when we wake up, we're revitalized or refreshed." Teaching Ranka also helped Seiji keep his own mind sharp. "As for relaxing...you just have to try not to worry so much about other things you might be doing. Enjoy the moments as they come." Seiji added on, letting his own eyes close for a moment as he enjoyed the feel of Ranka leaning into him.

Elly felt bad when Tristan looked so worried that he made her cry. 'Bad Elly, bad!' she yelled in her head at herself, hurrying to whipe the tears away as she giggled a bit at herself. "No, no i'm fine, really. It's those sentimental things that get to me more then normal people. And you aren't a dummy or an idiot. Picking that song was great and I wouldn't want you to hold your talent back on my account either. It wasn't like you yelled at me or did something bad to me that made me cry so it's okay. she told him, giggling at how paranoid he was over the simple fact that she cried. Now her face was red for herself acting like a dummy.
It did, however, surprise her and made her stop crying when he suddenly held her in his arms like that. It was very comforting and remarkably it didn't hurt at all. how could Tristan be so kind and gentle when all of these bad things had happened to him? Perhaps he was a lot like Elly who learned to forgive and forget for little things and learned to move on for the bigger things, unless they cam to your school and attacked you, your friends, and your home.

As she listened to his explanation, she was trying to picture what matched his description. Fatigue? She furrowed her brows, she could not understand that one either. "I do not know fatigue. I know it's definition, but this feeling of tiredness. Perhaps this is the reason I do not know what "refreshed" is." She said softly, starting to realize just how different she was from living creatures. It wasn't a pleasant feeling she found. Even if she understood the logic behind why she wasn't.
At this point she was coming to accept there were some things she would never understand. At least, not with how her body was at this point in time. Maybe if her body were more like his she would. "It is against my programming to. I can however, at least enjoy small moments." Like right now. She still didn't fully understand what he found attractive in her, but she wasn't about to question it she found.

Tristan caught her hands as she tried so hard to wipe away her tears, holding them for a moment before he let go to gently catch the tears that freshly fell from her eyes, his motions gentle as always. His arms returned to holding her, listening to her.
They were so silly together. He could tell she was probably thinking something similar along the lines he had been moments before and it made him chuckle. "Well, you aren't alone in that. I've seen people at the park that got emotional over the song. They may not have cried but I could see it in their eyes." He said softly, briefly thinking back to those times. They hadn't been bad. Not at all. "Still, I don't like making you cry. I mean, happy tears yeah, but not ones of sadness." He added, pulling back a bit so he could look her in the eye, a faint smile on his lips.

As Tristan touched her cheek, Elly felt a warm feeling from his hand. It usually wasn't there so she never really thought of being touched by him, but when he did do it, she could tell, and it was warm. My emotions just seem to jumble up all at once and then they over flow. Not always like this, but the majority of the time I think about all the bad int he world and cry because I cannot correct it. It just makes me feel helpless, even though I know its impossible to achieve all of it. And I don't mind that you made me cry for i know it was not intentional at all" she reassured him, hugging him first then pulling back and smiling radiently up to him.

Man, he was starting to appreciate having a solid body rather than one that was constantly fluctuating. He wondered if he'd ever fix that if he had.... Nah, probably best not to think upon that too hard. Tristan couldn't help but smirk, chuckling because that sounded so like her. "I've seen some of the darkness of the world and I learned to work with it and around it. Not always the easiest thing to accept the things we cannot change. All we can do is change the things we can." He thought back to that run down theater, how musty it was, how they scrounged for food for all of them... He wondered if everyone was doing alright or not. He hoped so.
He smiled as she hugged him, returning it almost instantaneously. And he didn't have to worry about phasing through her. Such a nice change. As she looked up to him like that, he found himself entranced, his heart in his throat again. His hand came to rest along her jawline, his thumb stroking her cheek softly. Leaning in more, he could feel how his heart raced as his eyes began to close, his lips touching hers softly. They were so soft and flush, pulling back slowly, almost a bit hesitant since it had been out of the blue.

Tristans words were right. She knew that she couldn't help everything and everyone that was bad and only going for what she could, according to someone else that told her, felt very reassuring.
Then Tristan put his hand on her jawline and stroked her cheek. She leaned her head into it, again the feeling of solid hands on her skin felt nice. But what surprised her was when Tristan leaned in and kissed her. Elly gasped as he did so, though not in a hateful way, but in a caught off gaurd way. It was pleasant also, the first kiss she ever really had, since all the other boys didn't true accept her. Though when Tristan pulled away, she felt her eyes open and look at him, herself a bit worried that she had done something wrong, to make him pull away.

Tristan found himself blushing, his eyes meeting her own, his forehead still almost touching hers. He lowered his gaze, wondering why he was so hesitant with this. "... Sorry, I just... I don't want to make you uncomfortable or anything. And well um.." He sighed, and let his forehead touch hers softly, his dark eyes lowering. "In my... original body, I wasn't sure if I could do this. I wasn't sure if I'd phase through you, or end up completely killing a moment by falling through the floor or something." He admitted, remembering how he agonized over it besides the fact of whether or not she felt the same. Last year Vira had to put up with a lot of his crap.
His thumb ran across her cheek softly, treasuring the fact he didn't have to worry about it now even if it now meant it was due to his new body. Straightening up a bit more, he gave a nervous smile, remaining close but not quite as close as before. About where they had been when he had first held her and she had looked up at him with that smile of hers. "Hehe... I'm a dummy, I know." He tried to lighten up with a joke, and he sorta succeeded, at least with himself.

Seiji wondered what it would be like to live like that. After a long day, he always looked forward to getting some sleep. Laying down and just letting his body shut down for the night, or whenever he slept. To not feel fatigue or having his body slowly lag behind would probably make things done a lot quicker for him. Then again he'd also probably become restless pretty quickly. He wouldn't have all the things that Ranka had to do. If Seiji never became tired, he'd lose his mind. Just not having to do anything was sometimes nice. So long as that didn't continue on for too long. Though for Ranka, this was probably natural. Watching over death was a full-time job. If she needed to rest there would probably be tons more spirits to look after.
"Mm. Well, I guess if it's something you can't experience, than definitons will be about as close as you can get." Seiji replied. "In the mean time, just having a moment or two for yourself isn't a bad place to start." Especially if it meant he had more chances to be with her. He knew they wouldn't be able to spend all their free time together, but Seiji didn't mind that so long as they did spend time together. More moments like this one might make things a bit easier for the both of them. "Just being happy can be relaxing sometimes." Seiji let his eyes slowly drift open, glancing to Ranka, or what he could see of her being so close.

Ranka sighed, a little disappointed that she wouldn't get to fully understand humans due to how her body had been constructed. It made her snuggle more against him, feeling embarrassed about it. In reality... it was odd she felt embarrassed. She never had before. Nodding slowly, her arms wrapped around his waist, holding herself closer against him. She felt colder than usual and she didn't understand why. It wasn't like chilly air bothered her.
Listening to him, she relaxed, raising her eyes from the ground up to him as far as she could, succeeding in finding his eyes. She blushed since their faces were so close, the color contrast not as harsh with the moonlight upon her skin. They blurred together in a more harmonious way. Almost like the petals of a flower. "I-it is. It is my equivalent at least." She said softly, starting to lower her gaze from some kind of embarrassment.
