lucifer turned to paradox "because dear grandson war would happen and i doubt you would want your mother involved to soon dont you think. my brother will kill her and leave you alone once more with noone to love and care for you. so becareful on what you wish because it might happen" he said sternly

"I'm not wishing for anything," Paradox said, frowning at his grandfather. "I'm just wondering why it would be so bad if Heaven got involved. Don't you think they would figure out what's going on, with the Ruinous and all, and help us, even if it was just until the Ruinous was destroyed?" He shrugged. "Just an idea."

Gabrielle smiled mischievously, "Is that a challenge love?" Her focus was towards Lucifer, and she had forgotten that there was another figure in the room. She glanced to Azrael who seemed to open his mouth to speak but kept quiet. Her demeanor changed to a more majestic one rather than a childish one. "Right now there is war on Earth... Armageddon isn't supposed to happen yet... so we are trying to get everyone to make peace..." She paused, noticing she answered nothing he had asked. "Referring to your question... Heaven and Hell are at an agreement at the moment, and once it's breached, there will be all out war, thus the end of mankind and possibly one of the realms as well...." She looked over to Lucifer for confirmation.

Paradox sighed. "Aren't all of you related anyway? Why do you all hate each other, then?" he asked, raising his eyebrows. "This whole 'Heaven vs. Hell' rivalry seems rather pointless, if you really think about it," he muttered. "I mean, just look at you. Not a week ago, you were up in Heaven, an Angel on the High Council or whatever. Now, you're down here, loving all over the Lord of Hell himself. And you can't even hope, for even a second, that it might be possible to get along?"

Gabrielle grimaced at Paradox's statement. "That is true... but it isn't an overnight thing... Right now it's just to spite one another... and there has to be a balance of good and evil.. if one is greater... " She didn't finish her sentence hoping she didn't have to explain destruction.

Paradox nearly laughed. "Good and Evil? Seriously?" he said, shaking his head. "You've been stuck in Heaven for too long. This is real life. Good and Evil don't exist," he said. "Power, that exists. And people that love to fight over it." He shook his head again. "And therein lies the problem..." he muttered, and looked down. "Humans, Angels, Demons... We're all the same. Power-hungry... Some of us just have better excuses for it than others." he said, looking at Gabrielle. "Balance," he said, as an example.

lucifer laughed "listen boy and listen good. its time you learned that nothing is as it seems and by that i mean you. your parents may accept you but you are and abomination so are your siblings. angels and demons will never coexsist properly and for that to happen will kill us all. rememeber this you are very easy to kill your nature isnt natural and if you stand on the side that your father so dearly hold close then you will saurly see what it mean to stand alone in this world" he turned and walked away the atmosphere changing drastically as demons began to appear watching the scene at hand

"Trust me, I know exactly what I am," Paradox said. "I also know the genocidal habits of both Demons and Angels, so don't patronize me." he crossed his arms. "I may turn out to be harder to destroy than you think," he said, growling.

"Lucifer!" Gabrielle hissed as she followed him. She held her hand out telling Azrael that everything was ok if he stayed calm. "Love... there's no need to prove your statement.."
Azrael's whole body stiffened when he felt the demons' presence. He obeyed Gabrielle's orders and closed his eyes, patiently waiting for them to leave.

"Go ahead, let him try," Paradox said. "What's there to lose? If I win, he's the lord of hell, he can always get a few more demons. And if I lose, I die, and the world is rid of an 'abomination'." he spat out the word abomination with disgust.

lucifer turned to gabrielle "i have but so much patience right now so dont push it" he walked into his room and slammed the door closed as the demons solified throwing the atmoshepere in complete misery and hoplessness as they began to laugh at them the room becoming darker by the moment as one demon walked up to azrael and touched him the others circling paradox in anger all the more many still watching gabrielle

Paradox grinned, baring his teeth in a half smile half snarl. "So be it," he muttered, and closed his eyes, focusing. After a second, he started glowing, brighter than either Gabrielle or Azrael, and light poured out over the room, burning away the Demons, killing them all. Paradox started floating, the light lifting him off the ground, as his wings came out. He fell to the ground, kneeling over. "Mercy," he whispered, to all the Demons he had just incinerated.

victoria walked out of her room and screamed "damn it what the hell" he hand burning quickly as she stepped back "what in lucifers name is going on out here the children are sleeping" she said throught gritted teeth

Paradox staggered to his feet, looking up. "Sorry, I was dealing with a... present your father left," he muttered. He turned back to the table, and sat down, finishing his sandwich.

Gabrielle growled in anger at Paradox's actions. "You are just a child... you are very lucky I have more patience than Lucifer.." She turned on her foot, heading towards the living room. "Your actions just there can cost you your life..."
She made her way to the couch and collapsed on it, rolling over so she faced the cushions. "God... help me." she murmured. She didn't want to bother Lucifer in his foul mood, concerned that he would turn on even her.
