Yeah, best start considering this, although I've got no suggestions of my own unless you atleast upgrade someone in your army (Someone!) to have a long ranged weapon capable of taking out any long ranged hostility if you can.

one of my death guard did have a heavy bolter then i realized they couldn't have them so i down graded it to a bolter. i'll probably re-paint and convert my SM predator to chaos so i can have some fire support.

yay, i no longer have a khorne lord or a aspiring chosen champion, they have been replaced with a scorceror and another lord wich i need to build,however i still need some support, time to re-do my army list. (i swapped some guy)

G'Day folks here's my main 2000 Pts army at the moment.
Army: Codex Space Marines Name: Emperor's Purebloods Icon: A golden teardrop shape on a black background. Story: The army is based on a surviving number of loyalist Emperor's Children who got lost in the warp just prior to the Heresy and who came back into normal space 100 years ago. After much interrogation by the Inquisition and having been brought before the Golden Throne itself for final judgement, they were given the opportunity to prove themselves in the defence of humanity and to increase their numbers. At the present time their numbers have grown to nearly 600 battle ready marines, and the chapter was first active during the 3rd war of Armageddon. Concept: The army is designed to deal with most other army types, it is strong against heavy armoured vehicles and tries its best to deal with swarms of infantry. Most of the army is about conserving points for more models, rather than spending them on upgrades.

I'm currently making a 1500 point list to counter 48 Fire Warriors, a Commander with twin linked Burst Cannon and Fusion blaster, and some nasty body guards, 20 or 30 Kroot, with a Krootox and Shaper, and a Hammer head and Ethereal. Which will be in one of the FW squads. Here is my list: 1512 Pts

Split into combat squads, we are doing Objectives, sorry I forgot to mention. And a Heavy Bolter and Flamer are both free... I took a Whirlwind because its large blast, and it ignores FW and Kroot armour, and the Ethereal which doesn't actually have armour.

Sorry I've never actually read the daemon hunter book, so I'm assuming half dis stuff (But really free?) But anyways, you not getting are more decent tank then or a different weapon for that job, cause I'm sure that player might take down yer whirlwind unless ye hid it.
Either way, I think this tau players fricked, from what I know from battling Tau his army list isn't all dat great.

Walrus, his list is set up as Space Marines with Daemonhunter Allies.
Jason, I think you're limited to one Daemonhunter choice in all but Troops. I don't have my codex here with me right now, but I think that's the case. Instead of Stern, take a min-point Inquisitor Lord. He really doesn't have to live for long. Or, if you want, you can kit him out like crazy with Terminator Armor, a Force Weapon, and a Psycannon. Do that and have him run with a few crappy acolytes so that they die quickly and leave him free to join up with another squad.
Then, for your elite, you have to make a tough decision. I honestly would suggest that you take normal Marine Terminators with a Heavy Flamer and the Eversor Assassin. If you really want to take more elites, take more Sternguard. Right now you also have 4 Elites. Unless you're playing with special house rules, you need to remedy that.
Troops look solid. Maybe swap the Heavy Bolters for Rocket Launchers. You currently have no dedicated anti-tank aside from the Whirlwind, and trust me. It will die fast.
Fast attack should do decently. Just don't let them get bogged down by Kroot or they. will. die. Their goal should be hunting out the Suits if possible, or dealing with the Ethereal. Let them hunt. They'll do well.
That said, you could do well with more heavy firepower. If you drop the GK termies, you can go either with Marine Termies (cheaper!) or with some more heavy firepower for your Heavies. Plasma Cannons would only be decent. Lascannons would be alright. A Vindicator would be absolutely golden. S10 5" blast would be golden against mobs of infantry and against the Hammerhead all at the same time. If not, you just need to switch in some more anti-tank.
