He smiled and kissed her gently, rolling his eyes. "Hey, you made the challenge. Now you roll with the aftereffects." Sitting up he pulled his pants back on, going into the bathroom and brushing his teeth.

Moya chuckled and nodded slowly. Yeah she wasn't getting up for a while. She curled as best she could and drifted in and out of sleep.

As she slept Nik went downstairs, getting the bags of baby stuff and bringing them back up. Might as well put everything away and have it ready. Humming to himself he started taking things out of the bags, tucking the clothes into the dresser and setting the toys and books up on the shelves. The blanket he folded and hung on the side of the crib like it was a towel, attaching a small mobile to the top of the crib. Only when he was completely finished did he look around, and that was when he thought it was missing something. Going downstairs quietly he went into the basement, coming back upstairs with a black rocking chair. Unlike a lot of chairs it didn't creek, and it was comfortable to fall asleep in.

Moya woke up a few hours later and was kind of able to move. She was sore from hell, but she got out of bed and felt strange. She looked down and there was a bump on her belly, big enough to see. She quickly pulled on a large shirt and found Nik in the baby's room. She smiled and looked around. "Oh Nik." She walked up to him slowly and grabbed his hand, putting it on her belly.

He hadn't even heard her come in, but when she put his hand on her belly he froze. Even for a Lugaru baby this pregnancy was going pretty fast. Rubbing her stomach he tried to find his words, smiling at her reaction to the room. "Guess this is what happens when you're awake and you can still move just fine."

Moya smiled and nodded. "I told you it would make me fat." She giggled and noticed the chair. "Where did that come from?"

Nik smiled and kissed her stomach, standing again and looking at the chair. His father had carved it, when you couldn't simply just go buy something like this. As he looked at it he could picture his mother sitting in it, singing to herself or simply reading by his crib. As he got older and after his father died he had moved it to the living room for her, sitting with her at night so she could pet him. "It was in the basement, you just only noticed boxes."

Moya walked up to it slowly and looked it over carefully. It did look old, but it also didn't look fragile either. She sat down in it slowly and smiled softly up at Nik. She realized who it belonged to, and silently thanked his mother for it. She rocked back and forth for a bit. "This chair is beautiful Nik, I just wish I could tell your parents that."

The sight of her in his mother's chair nearly made him melt, and he gave a genuine smile as he sat in the window seat next to the chair, his arms around one leg bent while the other just hung there. "I'm sure they know it Moya. I'm sure they know it."

Moya nodded and leaned back in the chair, putting her hands on her stomach. There was a sudden growl from her stomach then she growled. "I don't feel hungry you little runt!" She sighed and crossed her arms over her stomach.

Nik had to bite back a laugh at that, shaking his head as he got up and walked acrossed the room. She didn't seem to get that a pregnancy came with cravings. Coming back with his hands behind his back he knelt in front of her, holding a cookie in front of her and waving it slowly under her nose, still smiling.

Moya kind of glared at him when he taunted her with the cookie. She sighed and took the cookie, nibbling on it. "I don't even feel hungry." She continued to nibble on the cookie after a minute if trying not to. Fine she was hungry, but she didn't feel like it.

He kissed her head as he stood back up, picking her up and holding her close as he sat back on the window seat with her in his lap. "It doesn't matter how you feel. A pregnancy has its own demands, Moya. If the baby's hungry, you're going to be hungry. Especially with a wolf baby." Absentmindedly he started rubbing her stomach, looking out the window.

"Our baby is going to make me fat then." She finished the cookie and looked out the window, finding comfort with him rubbing her stomach.

He kissed her cheek when she relaxed against him. He liked just sitting here in the quiet with her, it was calming in a way music could never be. Leaning down slightly he grabbed one of the books on the floor, opening it up and reading it to her.
