lunashock Might want to make sure you don't have a UTI. Everyone told me the lower back pain was normal and when I went to the ER last night they said probably the UTI was the cause of that. So I spent 14 hours in the ER last night, horrible virus where I couldn't keep anything down. Bean is perfectly fine, I'm just sick, tired, but fine now. Nah, I had that checked at my appt on Wednesday. itsjust backpain. Its just getting ot th peoint of I can't even lay on my back and move a little without just cringing in pain. Mostly I sleep on my stomach to get rid of the pain during the night, but I can't do that very much anymore,...erg, at all. I'm sorry you've been so sick Luna. I understand, I just got over Mono a month or so ago. I hope you feel better soon.

My first trimester I had lower back pain the whole time. I was just really stiff and achey. Hopefully it will pass, but at least you know it's not a UTI causing it.
Today I am 28 weeks along, so GOODBYE 2nd trimester and month 6, hello home stretch. Now to just survive the next 9-14 weeks without going crazy and becoming the crankiest woman evah. xd

Ah I can understand the sleeping on the stomach thing. It's hard to adjust to other ways, but works out eventually.
Mono, oh man. I've never heard it, but everyone tells me it's like the sickest they've been.
Heh third tri for Dirge, wow!

I've had two outbreaks of it now, so don't ever share a soda with me. gonk Darn herpes viruses that can get reactivated!
First trimester and how run down I felt reminded me quite a bit of having mono and I was using it as a reference for people when they'd ask how I was feeling. For me when I had my outbreaks, ALL I wanted to do was sleep and even getting up to use the bathroom was a chore that required a nap after it. And it just lasts forever.
ninja I'd like to know how Chris has managed to avoid getting it when he's had so much close contact with me. He's either very lucky or there's something else going on. Curious. LOL
Me, I love to sleep on my back and sadly you can't do that while pregnant either...not comfortably anyway. My stomach is so heavy now that if I try I feel like I'm crushing my organs. So side sleeping it is.

Luna, I hope you get to feeling better soon!
Dirge, when I was pregnant, I told Tetravus the same thing: that the only thing I could compare the fatigue of 1st trimester to was to having mono.

Hey Dirge, maybe this is his secret...
"People who have already been infected with the virus that causes mono - Epstein-Barr Virus or EBV - will develop immunity that protects them from further infection. An estimated 95% of adults have been infected with EBV and 50% of children are infected before age 5. So, you may very well have already had mono - and not even known it."-from kidshealth.org
Or perhapes the govorment is testing super-anti-mono vaccines on our soilders in secret rofl j/k

OMG can I kill the stupid nurse at my doctor's office? I kid you not, they treated me like a damn 2 year old today..... Every time I go in there, and I've been going there since September, they want you to leave urine sample...annoying, but I've done it every time. But today, they asked me to, like three times, and it was two different people. And then, when the dumb old biddy (who had already pissed me off by getting my name wrong, and then telling me to go pee) took my blood pressure, she tightened the cuff so much that I still have a red mark on my arm, and it's been 2 hours!!
But, I snuck out of there without peeing in a cup, mainly because they really pissed me off. "do you need to leave a sample now?" Again, I've been going to this same office since September.....I think I know the damned routine.
At least this was my last visit before the C-section.

I don't tend to have a very high opinion of nurses in general, though I know there are great ones out there and I've had some. I just seem to get stuck with the nasty ones with a huge chip on their shoulders and have something to prove. HATE THAT.
You don't have long now to deal with them anymore, thankfully.

I'm glad for that...it was the first time I'd had such an awful nurse at his office, too, that's why it made me so mad. But the nurses I've met at the hospital so far are great, so I'm sure I'll be fine there. smile

Yeah running into ANY person with a chip on their shoulder is a pain in the a**. Being that my husband is a nurse, I pretty much have a zero tolerance attitude if I think a nurse or ANY medical personnel starts getting nasty or rude towards me. It's not that I get ugly with them, but the "May I speak with your supervisor?" and explaining it goes SUCH a long way. Also, don't be afraid to file formal complaints! I take patient rights pretty seriously and if I don't my husband will, LOL!
I'm glad you don't have to go through that again!

mrgreen 28 week check up was today. I'm finally up 10 pounds from where I started from, my BP is looking good, heart rate is still in the 150's and for once my baby couldn't run and hide because he's too big now, uterus measured 2 cm over my weeks again...and that's about it. Signed up for classes at the hospital and we start on Thursday.
