"They have General Roy on their side though, so..." A pang of guilt ran through the young Nomad, as if she were responsible for not stopping him. She shook that doubt from her mind in a second. "We should be careful. He was no pushover when it came to strategies. If it weren't for him, the fight his army had against Zephiel would have been lost."

Luna rejoin with the group right when stefan made that remark. "I have to agree with Stefan on this one." She closed her eyes and took a deep breath.

Stefan spoke to Sue, "Hmmm, is this Roy really that capable?"

The boy's hackles were up in seconds, frazzled by the man's teasing. The Swordmaster had always gotten under the Wind Sage's skin, but this was just too much. Sucking in a whoosh of air, he clamped his mouth shut and turned away with a huff, grunting like a child being told to eat his peas. Looking to the girl as she addressed him, his face looked as though someone had pumped his cheeks full of air, his eyes large with a stubborn gleam. The chipmunk-like face with pursed lips lasted on long moment as the boy thought things though. The older male had made a good point, and answering the girl and the Hawk King's questions would show him. His face deflated, becoming serious and contemplative as he spoke.
"I have thought a bit about all of this nonsense lately. I will admit that it will be necessary to talk to the creatures. If we can determine which of them are likely to be swayed, we may be...able to spare them. But in the end, we'll have to take the remaining on...Perhaps even some of our former allies. If it comes down to it, that's where we'll be. Now the question is, can we avoid this? Is there a way to overthrow this "Mistress" without casualty?
...I am beginning to think there may be."
Doing his best to block the Swordmaster's continuous jabs from his mind, and flashing a quick glare Luna's way, he shook his head. Looking first to Sue and back to Alihi.
"You know how Roy thinks, Sue. And perhaps, on some level, how Tacitus will operate. I think you should tell Alihi and I what you can. It may prove very useful to forming a solid defense. We should be prepared in our defense before we prepare our offense."

"He is. And strong too." Sue replied to Stefan. "I.. I really don't to fight him either, but... I might not have a choice." She shut her eyes, again lost deep in thought.
"General Roy... please... even if you're on their side, don't make me fire this arrow into your heart. I couldn't live with myself if I did.. please, don't make me..."
She never loved Roy, not romantically, but Sacaens saw their comrades as brothers and sisters. Shooting Roy would be like shooting a family member...

Stefan thought as he listened to Sue, "I see... Well, if you don't feel you can stop him, then leave him to one of us."
Stefan nodded with satisfaction. Not only did he get a most humorous look from the sage, but it appeared he was also listening to what Stefan had suggested the previous night. He may not have to worry about his loyalties as much as he thought...

Janaff whistled appreciatively, impressed by Soren's speech towards Lyre. He really had changed. But then again, when he lashed back at Stefan... well, at least it was funny. The hawk shrugged, and was about to grab some food himself- but the talk of tactics interested him. He hadn't really shown it so far, but he was rather heavily impacted by the genius tactician's strategies.
But he was confused. Who were they up against? Who were these "morphs"? Ahh, the wonders of arriving late. He was sure Tibarn would debrief him later though.

Notice the NOT green font. :3 I was just kinda surprised that Older!Soren never mentioned the LEADER OF THE RESISTANCE as someone worth sharing strategies with... D: ))

Tibarn raised a finger and coughed to get Alihi and Soren's attention. "Something occurs to me. From what Ulki's overheard and told me, morphs are the result of taking human souls and life energy and twisting and remolding it into a zombified slave. I don't know how many of you have heard of the Galdr of Rebirth, but it is a special spell sung by the Heron Clan of Serenes. It restores twisted bodies and souls to their proper shapes and forms, which leaves me to wonder-- what would happen to a morph who heard the Galdr?"

Saturnos decided to pop by to the house, this time with a purpose different than that of his previous visits. Indeed, he wasn't here to cause trouble or bake cookies. When he entered the house, he paused momentarily to see if anyone noticed him.
